Happy weekend Nlanders Uni days could be so exciting and we all had memories about those days, today I just remembered one of my lecturers from my department,Mr Udenigwe USSR... You may wonder why USSR, the man claims to be a Marxist, he wrote a book and said that his book should not be sold in capitalist countries (funny man, lol),the way his whiskers look like that of Chaplin and his penetrative eyes eh,you dare not cough in his class, his cynical smile, his mischievous tone and his not getting along with other lecturers is on another planet, his wrong pronunciation of "dialectical materialism' and 'sovereignty' can send you laughing out your ribs but you dare not. His dressing is on another world..off sense How about you? happy weekend |

Today marks 30 years from the 12th of June 1993 when the annulled elections took place which saw two challengers jostling for the position of the presidency in the persons of M.K.O Abiola a business mogul from the SDP and Tofa Bashir from the NRC. The election was annulled by the then military president,General Ibrahim Babagida a.k.a evil genius that nearly put the whole nation on the brink of another costly war. Down the lane,we have come to have power back to the civilian government which happened on the 29th of May 1999 and till date, however we cannot say that the very essence of democracy in this nation has really being respected as much, though this is my personal opinion, I strongly come to believe that over the years the things that we have come to experience as a nation as per the question of democracy we have not yet fully approached it pragmatically or to say realistically, our democracy is still at its nascent,we are still trying to develop and gradually we would get there. So to you,how do you see democracy so far in this nation? Are we truly following the principle of democracy? is it enough to say that our democratic system is fair enough? What can be the way forward if No is your answer? ©TruthSoldier |

Some time ago I was listening to a preaching and the preacher asked a question,he said "What if peradventure you die and you had all this while believed that there was eternity of heaven and hell, you discovered there was none, would you regret that you lived the life you lived on earth? I pondered on that, most people these days don't believe in eternity being real, some call it a scam or religious manipulation for the gullible, while there are those that do believe that's it's real. What do you think? |

Good day nairalanders I was having a discussion some time ago with a couple of friends and it was bordered on relationship and why people cheat, the discussion however degenerated into an argument on who cheats most in a relationship whether marital or intending marital relationship, some said it's the female while some others said the man, some believe that it's a matter of personality and values rather than just a thing of a gender. Now my question goes to us,please who cheats more in a relationship, is it a thing common to a particular gender or more of a personality trait or value? let's discuss |
We walked down to the school eatery, sat down and ordered for two plates of jollof rice and plantain,I bought two bottles of Pepsi and we were downing our food, I made order for an extra plate when my ear caught the conversation of three ladies a table ahead of us.. 'What did you say happened to Nazzy? asked one of the girl 'Naso we see am o,the girl was okay a night before, she came back looking alright,we saw her, nothing amiss..'replied the girl telling the story,a petite looking ebony lady 'Then what happened? asked another girl who was seated on the table together with the two 'Her roommate said that she woke up in the wee hours of the morning to do some laundry, when she started screaming, she had gone out by that time to get some bucket of water, she screamed for some time, came in looking shocked but could not talk to anyone about what she saw or has caused her screaming in a clear narrative, everyone continued with their sleep but Nazzy could not,she was literally shaking, according to what her roommates narrated, she tried to sleep for some minutes only to wake up no more talking to anyone, only moping even when you call her name and making some monosyllabic words, until she started tearing herself with her fingers' "What!? the other girls screamed in unison 'Only God knows what really happened to her, they said that it was a demonic attack, some said it was a book that she read, other accounts have it that she visited an Alhaji in town and since her return that has brought the abnormality in her' narrated the girl telling the incident.. 'This is not the first time things like this has happened in this campus..' said the petite ebony girl 'Ehen??. |
***** It was on a cool morning of May, 2015,I can vividly remember on a Thursday when Frank a tall light complexioned skin guy in his mid twenties, came to my place,I don't live in the school hostel,I have my own place outside the school,I prefer living off campus because I valued my privacy and I love to be alone to study and do some researches on my laptop.. Some people believe that when a person involves in penetrative sex that he or she is no more a virgin, some argue that you may not but still aren't a virgin. Who then is a virgin? is it possible you may not have had sex yet you're not a virgin? What makes one to be seen as a virgin? |
