We are in exciting times in Nigeria now,the period that we call the season of campaign and elections, I find it incredibly exciting, but I have some things to say in regards to the choice of leadership in the apex level of political leadership in this country, called the presidency.

So far we have four major contenders for this position who are; Rabiu Kwankwanso of the NNPP,Peter Obi of the Labour Party,Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Bola Tinubu of the APC.

I want to speak without siding anyone of them or fronting them as per my choice,but I want to say that having heard some of the manifestoes that we have heard these men preach,their rallies and more,I want us to critically ask ourselves these questions;

1.Collecting inducement to vote for a candidate does it worth my peace and future
2.Why do I support a particular candidate, is it based on geopolitical zone,ethnicity, language, past records,track records,inducement, social media popularity, being much talked about,or what?
3.Will I be happy really voting for my candidate?
4.What am I to loose if I vote wrongly or sell my vote?

See my dear nairalanders,we need to ask ourselves these questions, we have suffered a lot in this nation, we have gone through a lot,and we don't want to into 'a lot',Nigeria needs a deliverer now,drop ethnicity and religion, they have only succeeded in dividing this nation,and by the way Nigeria is not a Christian or an Islamic state, it is a secular state.

What I know is that, we should try avoid a regrettable mistake next year,irrespective of tribe,creed or religion, educational status even though it may look important, I honestly think that at this time our eyes should be focused on who will salvage this nation,someone that bears the mind of the masses, someone with a vision,someone with a sense of responsibility, whether Christian or Islamic, we don't care,we just need someone like that.

2023 awaits us,and we shall all cross over

The way I see how those of the teaching profession go about their profession it makes me think that most people who are into the teaching profession most especially in this part of the world has little or no value from those who are members of the society.

Imagine first of all the nomenclature 'Teacher',I sincerely think that those who are into the teaching profession should be called rather 'Educators' not teachers which I see it's quite old fashioned, the reason is first because they did education in the tertiary level,if someone who did medicine should be called a medic,engineer for engineering, barrister for law,then nothing wrong for someone who did education to be called an educator.

Secondly the issue of poor salary or poor pricing of services from a school to a teacher,imagine paying a teacher 15 to 30k in this time,what can it achieve?
You can't employ a doctor,an engineer, a lawyers services or a banker and pay them peanuts,I think this needs to change

Any school owner that tries to intimidate an educator in his or her school, such victim needs to sue him and put him or her in the right place, gone are the days you will try to bully a teacher and he or she remains mute,because of your peanuts you pay,what nonsense, I have even seen teachers humiliated before students,by either school owners,parents and even parents and the school and teacher does nothing, this needs to stop.

Lastly the teaching profession must be seen for what it is a profession,not something every Dick and Harry with no educational experience or portfolio would just come in and start parading himself or herself as a teacher, I have seen that nonsense in most private schools of D class or even E class mostly after money,sanity needs to be restored.

There is this member of my church, she lives with her aunt and her husband, the aunt later passed on this year,leaving her and the brother in-law, the brother in-law has a business he manages but plans on relocating back to Canada, and as the last time of discussion, he had did the necessary papers awaiting the stamping of the Visa.

Now this young lady haven't gotten into higher institution but she has plans to,her mom and dad is late,and her other sisters are in this country, she's the last child of her parents,the brother in-law intends that she manages the business that while he goes over to that place, he will work his papers for her to come and study,but the issue is that she's in love with someone that she does not want to leave,she's asking if it's possible to go over to Canada and do her schooling,work and then send funds to the young man

I ask on her behalf now;
What are the chances of achieving that if it works out,moreover she wants a permanent residency
Secondly is what duration of years is schooling in higher institutions in Canada
thirdly is it possible for her to have her man relocate to Canada if eventually she schools there?
