I don't see what's funny about it. Naturally everyone wants the best people in their country who can contribute positively and that should also apply to Nigeria.

It's not switzerlands fault that Nigeria does not implement its rules and deal with foreigners such as Chinese and Indians who abuse the laws especially labour laws and commit crime.

Countries have requirements for you to naturalise as a citizen and time and time again he flouted the rules so bye bye. He knows he is not a citizen and he is acting like he doesn't have sense.

Yes sir he did and wasn't one of the shooters.

Still the comprehension around how they are comfortable allowing such weapons in public still astounds me. There was a pic where the guy was standing and a man had a little boy nearby. If it was me seeing such a gun would freak me out so much I would get out of there especially if I was with my child.

I'm not saying the man was guilty. He wasnt doing anything wrong it's just the way American society has made guns so acceptable I am referring to.

That there is the crux of the issue and I feel the focus on race is helping to avoid us deal of with the root cause to the benefit of the NRA.

You are right I just don't see how the NRA can be broken down with the hold they have over congress.

Lucasbalo:
It's too late for that now. With the Second amendment Rights in America, River Rubicon has been crossed. I was totally against guns and when I know that there is no going back, I joined them too to protect my family. Politicians are deathly afraid of NRA and that's why it will never stop.
TravelRe: Police Shot In Dallas: 5 Killed by ttmacoy(op): 6:17am On Jul 08, 2016
I get that bro and I agree he had a license to carry openly in Texas, but that's what baffles me that a modern society can be so comfortable allowing people carry such dangerous weapons legally in public.

I just struggle to comprehend the need to carry such weapons openly.

Lucasbalo:
The reason is that Texas is open and carry State. Illinois where you and I live is concealed and carry State. I have a Gun permit in Illinois but I will get arrested if I carry it openly like the dude in camouflage. That's the difference. Texas and all the Red states are whacked when it comes to Gun Laws.
TravelRe: Police Shot In Dallas: 5 Killed by ttmacoy(op):
Why in heavens name would it be legal for someone to walk the streets of a civilised country carrying a rifle. it's so dangerous and senseless that people can legally carry such guns in public putting innocent people in danger.

I still don't understand or comprehend why anyone would have the need to carry such 2nd amendment or not.

What was the link between both men killed aside being black, they had guns. One used a gun to threaten a man who was asking him for money, the other had a gun on him which he apparently had a license for and while reaching for his license was shot probably by a police officer who panicked. You could hear it in his voice on the video, sounded scared shitless saying I told him to stop I told him to stop.

We have created a society where everyone is paranoid and scared and this is fueling violence and division.
TravelPolice Shot In Dallas: 5 Killed by ttmacoy(op):
During a protest in Dallas against the two recent police killings of African American men, snipers shot at 11 officers killing 3.

I think the politicising of this issue by black lives matter and the press is creating chaos and division and more importantly preventing the root cause of the issue being looked that properly.

there are too many guns on the street and this creates a cycle of police officers who are quick to pull out their guns and it's a vicious cycle which America has found itself in.

TravelRe: Difference Between England And United Kingdom. by ttmacoy: 8:27am On Jun 28, 2016
The United Kingdom is a union of 4 countries England, Scotland, Northern Island and Wales.

They are all have their parliament and leadership structure, but each of Scotland, Northern Island and Wales have devolved different levels of power to London with Scotland having maintained the most power and Wales the least

Great Britain usually refers to 3 out of those 4 countries which are England, Scotland and Wales and they form an island

To confuse further, people think Britain refers to England but it actually refers to England and Wales.

That's why the passport says The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Great Britain becomes the UK when you add Norther Ireland which is part of a seperate island.

CareerRe: Further Your Career With SAP ERP Training In Lagos And Port Hacourt Nigeria by ttmacoy: 10:43am On Jun 16, 2016
Hi,

I see you did your SAP training at Uranium Technology. How did you find the training, and were you able to get a job using the certification?

moderatorr1:
SAP is the world's most powerful and most widely used ERP software. It was started in the 80s by a german company and is now used all over the world by big firms . Its also used in nigeria by the biggest firms you know for managing, sales, customers, supply chain, accounting and so on.
Big Companies in Nigeria are constantly searching for SAP professionals and consultants to employ or contract with. If you are hoping to earn big starting from this year, this is my TIP: learn SAP and get certified.

SAP is very large and has many modules. Everyone irrespective of their qualification and school training will find a suitable module to learn.

For instance, a programmer or someone with a technical background would want to learn ABAP, , BI modules
Someone with an accounting and management background would go for FI , CO or HR modules.
There are several others like, supply chain management, Material Management and so on.

You just need to learn SAP and get certified. Training takes 10 days , depending on your understanding capacity, you may need to practice some extra 2 weeks - 1 month before finally taking your SAP exam.

SAP is for very large companies, so if you are certified just be sure you are not going to ever work for a small company. Big companies invest N100m - N500m to implement SAP.
I learnt mine in Uranium Technologies. http://utechng.com
I chose them mostly because of their nice training facilities, environment and connections with employing Canadian firms abroad. And i don't regret.
You can find other SAP trainers near you or use Google to search for SAP training or ERP training in Nigeria.

Goodluck, my one cent.
I'll answer any questions here if i have the time. Otherwise, contact any SAP training website your find on Google and make your inquiries. Some respond fast, such as utechng.com
Thanks

They relate because they are both a of discrimination same as discriminating against people based on religion, tribe etc.

That's why companies in America and the west have policies that they employ with no discrimination based on age, sex, religion, etc. That are all forms of discrimation.

Kondomatic:
How do the two relate?

Thank you for this. We in Nigeria don't realise that homophobia is just another form of discrimination same as being discriminated against biased on your age, your tribe, your race, your religion etc.

We pick and chose based on our holier than though religious attitude yet we are one of the most corrupt and sinful countries on earth.

I appreciate toe balanced view but disagree that bringing up kids in Nigeria means you will have more time for them.

Depends on what you do in Nigeria. I know many people who due to traffic will leave home 6am and not return till 9pm. How will they have more time for the kids. Many kids brought ok in Nigeria soend more time with househelps than parents.

Pedagogue:
NL is very diverse. There are many school drop outs and foreign countries- hunters on NL.Also, there are people that politicise or economise every thread! So, sieve all comments very well.

Below is my advice:

1.Nothing compares to the future of your children.
2.It is now extremely difficult to bring up children in many western countries where gangsterism, gays, n different forms of sexual perversion pervades.
3.Living in societies where cases of children beating their parents is no longer news can affect the psyche of the best trained children.
4. According to researchers, the environment a child grows in has the biggest influence on a child.

That said, Op must consider that Bringing up a child in Nig has many downsides too. There's a v high level of immorality, cultism and Many other things you can think of!

So you see, it's neither here nor there. However, the advantages of living in Nigeria are:1.You will have more time to train your children. It's diff for Nigerians living abroad to have time for their kids, as they spend more time away from home. The husband and wife, that is! 2. Your children will be more exposed to your religion!

Therefore, pls consider the pros and cons. It's a difficult decision. If you decide to return, ensure u are financially buoyant. It's easier to bring up your children when they school and live in lekki...than say for instance, Ajegunle!

As a US citizen you'd brother can file for you to get a green card, but as can be seen on the attached link it will take a long time, 10 years plus.

You fall under the F4 category and they are working on applications submitted 2003 so I wouldn't put my mind on that happening anytime soon.

If you were the spouse of a US citizen or green card holder then the process would be quicker.

He is not encouraging crime but saying we need to stick to facts as a nation. Even you will know there is always so many versions of every issue flying around Nigeria. Stealing $322m is a crime as as $2.1bn, but when reported we should be consistent in reporting the facts accurately I think is what he is saying.

The NSA equivalent you mention, if he stole $322m that is the amount that will be quoted by all media and government officials consistently, but what we have in Nigeria is multiple versions by different people, and different people believe different versions based on what suits them.

ISpiksDaTroof:
You mention $322m as if it's $10. If the NSA equivalent of the United States stole that amount he'll be sentenced to death then his whole family will mysteriously die in a plane crash. He can't even steal $5000 without bagging a 20year jail time.

Stop encouraging crime.
