slimchic08: Thank you so much for your response Tunlex01.
The role that best suits my work experience is Sales and marketing manager and the accessing body is AIM. But as it stands i do not have any qualification for it... i just grew on the job.
This is where am stuck! How do i go about it? Can I begin the process using this job role? Or is it advisable i look for a job role fitting my BSc qualification? What's your course of study and what university did you graduate from? |

Petebola2005: Good morning house. Please I need more info on VETASSESS assessment procedures/documentations. I am applying for assessment as Human Resource Adviser.
I have over 18years work experience as Human Resource officer/Manager and PA and I want to claim all these years. These experiences are from 3 organisations and I have been able to get reference letters from them. Pls assist with the following questions:
1. Do I need to attach payslips for all the years? 2. Do I need to get tax clearance for the years ? 3. How many months bank statement reflecting salary payments? 4. What other documents do I need? 5. Pls is there anybody that has been assessed as HR adviser in the house? I need your guidance pls.
Thank you all. 1. No, just 1 per year is fine if you will be uploading bank statement. 2. Vetassess do not require it except if they identify any issue with d employment. However, you may be needing it for the visa application 3. You can use 6 months for each role, probably the last 6 months for the 3 roles. I provided only a 6 month statement prior to d application date. 4. Any other documents to substantiate your claims. 5. No idea. You can check expatforum |

Avangard: Happy New Year Everyone! I'm very convinced that this year would be a memorable one for we hopefuls. A couple days ago, I was trying to register on skillselect and I got to a point where am asked to input my work experience. I have 3 years work experience but Vettases approved 1year 3months. Pls @ bellong and other seniors in the house, which of them do I input?
In addition, when am enrolling for state nomination which of them should I use to avoid inconsistency and also increase my chances of sub class 489(Actuary) with a degree in Actuarial Science cos am on 55points?
Regards, This is what I did on my skillselect after Vetassess deducted 3 years from my 4.2 years of experience. I inputted the 1.2 years and selected 'relevant' while i selected 'not relevant' for the 3 years deducted. I think you can do that too. |

emly001: Good Evening my people, please I need some clarification about my documents that I intend to submit for vetasses assessment. Firstly, the company where I am currently working does not pay to our bank account, they only pay by cash, which makes getting bank statement impossible for me. However, I have approached the Account manager and she promised to provide me with salary slip(s), which looks fine. But my main issue is getting tax clearance which I don't have. I would like to know if I can submit my application for Vetasses assessment without Tax clearance.
Please help a sister Yes you can submit your application without tax clearance. I submitted only bank statement and got a positive response. Although this may also depend on the case officer handling your assessment. Go ahead and submit your application while you process the tax statement for your visa application |

I have a challange with tax certificate. Who knows how I can get my tax clearance certificate from lagos state government, I don't have them from 2013 and I have been paying and my pay slips are available for a proof. I told my company and they said next quarter they will start applying for it. That will be too far for me. If you have a tax number, chat lirs on www.lirs.gov.ng and you will get your tax statement within 5 minutes. That's if your company has been remitting your tax for those periods. |

AmaSophy: I just discovered this thread today.
I need help please. I studied English language (education) - UNN. Other than approximately 2 years teaching experience which includes my NYSC and teaching practice experience, I have about 8 years experience in administrative functions and I am confused on what to apply for under the skilled occupation in subclass 189.
In a nutshell, my certificate I'm education doesn't confirm with quality experience in another field (administrative officer). I need advice on if to apply for education using just 2 yrs experience or look for something similar to admin although I don't remember seeing admin in the occupation list.
Please advice me professionally while considering the points that would be accrued to me
Age : 30points Degree : 15 points English: yet to write IELTS Experience: 2 yrs teaching and 8 years admin officer
HELP What type of admin job do you do? facilities, warehouse etc? this can help narrow your search. Also go through the list of jobs on www.anzsco.com so as to determine the best to fit into your admin job. The best option you have is using your admin experience, however the downside is that the assessing body will deduct some of the years of experience because the job is not related to your qualification. Also note that your degree is 10 points cos UNN is a tier 2 uni and your course is a 4 year course. |

Eco306: Good day everyone, having gone through this thread from part one, I discovered no state is nominating Economists. Please are there other occupations I can nominate putting into consideration that I have a degree in Economics & the only experience I have so far is in teaching (over 5years experience ) of which I can only provide evidence for 2 years as I was mostly paid by hand and also 2 years experience as human resource manager. Please gurus kindly help. If you are a teacher, why do you want to nominate economist? You can nominate secondary/primary school teacher which is what you currently do. Check AITSL website for assessment requirements. If the school you worked with can state that you were paid in cash and can provide payslip, you should be good to go. You can also nominate Human resource manager. Check www.anzsco.com/search for more details. |

tunde4top: Kudos to everybody helping out in this thread.
I am 29 years of age (30 points). BS.c degree holder (15 Points). 45 points on ground for now.
My questions and challenges are.
1. How can I claim the 5 points from spouse when actually I am yet to marry ?. Anybody with a smart game plan for that should share.
2. I have been in IT (Computer Engineer/ Network Administrator) field for like 4 years now but it's hard to provide evidence for most because everything is just scattered. I had a 6 months work experience with Alpha-beta during my Industrial training program in their Information System department. I was active mostly in their Computer Engineer and Network Engineer units.
I went to learn fully Laptop Engineering work at a place in computer village and spent 1 year there. Only company name was registered there and not a limited company. Any way to claim this work experience ?
I worked personally for myself as a computer engineer with unregistered office for like 2 years but this is hard to prove.
I just started an office work with a reputable IT firm in similar IT field this Dec and can wait for atleast a year to gather more work experience before appling.
I read somewhere where someone said that it is possible to manover ones way to claim he/she engaged in partime job alongside Unversity program throughout stay in Unversity. Can anyone with a smart game plan share with me ?
Thanks in advance.
The journey to write and pass my English test exam has begun. For the 15 points BSc, did you finish from a tier 1 university? 1. Don't start anything you can't finish. CO may request for evidence(s) you wont be able to provide in order to substantiate your marriage claims. Howbeit, get married legally. 2. You need documents to claim employment points. Get your supervisors to write a reference letter for each of the job roles. Also, you may need tax clearance for the jobs too. If you are unable to get the reference letters, it will be fine if you wait till you have a year experience but remember that 1 year experience is zero point. 3. I have no idea of the part time school thingy...other experienced individual can provide response. |

Please I have an enquiry to make. How much would my spouse need to score in the ielts if I want to claim the additional five(5) points to boost my score?
Seniors in the house please assist. To claim Partner points, your spouse must score a minimum of 6 in each band of IELTS or 50 in PTE. In addition to the above, your spouse must satisfy the following: My partner is aged under 45 My partner can obtain a suitable skills assessment (that is not for a Subclass 485 visa) My partner has a skilled occupation on the same skilled occupation list as you.

Please advice. As Zanyzara advised, you can only lodge EOI and apply to QLD for 489 visa asap. You cannot apply to NSW for 190 cos your score is less than 65 point. Also try to get 20 points in the English test so you can be selected for NSW 190 nomination. |

mcjacve4eva: Dear all,
I appreciate the spirit in this forum. I am new to this forum and to the Australia stuff.
I have been pursuing the Canadian stuff for a while and in the process, I wrote IELTS and got band 7 across the board that will be expiring by July 2019.
I have used the calculator to run my score and below is how I stand.
189: 65 190: 70 489: 75
My background: I have B.Eng in Chemical Engineering and PGD in management. I have worked in the banking sector spanning over 10years with 14months as a professional in training. Within this period, I spent circa 4 -5 years as a Relationship manager afterward, an opportunity came and I moved to the Head office where I worked with the top level executives as a business analyst for 4 years and for over a year now as performance manager tracking the performance of business managers. I am also married with 2 kids. I am 38 years now to be 39 by April. My wife is 5years younger but she runs her show[Business].
My Issue: I do not understand what is SOL and CSOL. what do I need to do first cos am kind of confused with the terms I meet when I run through the thread.
I seriously need help.
Thanks to everyone. From your profile, I do not think you score will be up to what you quoted due to the fact that your degree is not relevant to your work experience. Your experience may be reduced to 4 years if it's Vetassess that will assess your job. What job are you nominating? Also, SOL and CSOL have been renamed to MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List) and STSOL (Short-term Skilled Occupation List). The former contains list of occupations that are available for visa sub-classes (189, 190, 489 and 485) whereas the latter is only available for State nomination visa sub-class .(190 and 489) |

You need to calculate your score using the Point Test Calculator https://www.anzscosearch.com/points-test/ and go with the person with the highest score. You should also state your spouse's university here to determine the educational points. I think Canny will be a better option. |
