Tragically we lost a close friend to the cold hands of death who passed away in a ghastly motor accident.

He was in his late thirties to early forties,unmarried, no child, and a Christian from the North west.

In solidarity, we his friends, proposed to hold a formal wake keep for him at his Abuja residence and promptly began the preparation process. This included securing the services of a DJ and arranging refreshments for the gathering.

Certain members of his family objected to the idea of the wake keep, contending that it was inappropriate for us to engage in partying and funfair following the untimely passing of their loved one. They insisted we limit the gathering to just a public address system and a choir to sing, nothing more.

Some of our friends are threatening to hands-off and withdraw their involvement from everything about the funeral including not attending the burial and allow the family members do whatever that pleases them.
Others are of the opinion that we should ignore the family members and go ahead with our plans since we are going to be paying respect to our late friend and not members of his family.

What do you guys think?

I don't understand why u guys want to do party. Just bury the dude, pay ur respects and contribute whatever u can for his children and wife.

Girls and their emotional play when things don't go their way. There is one I am dating now, I am just looking at her with side eye. Like she will just be saying somethings sometimes and I will be wondering if she is okay at all. If u carry woman matter or ur head, u will just be having headache. I am an arsenal fan, Tottenham is a derby and it is going to be very hard. Even Manu away will be hard. The rest should be easy except maybe Aston villa because of how they attack but arsenal has the best defence in the league so we should be fine against villa.

what are u saying? Are u saying the price of fueling gen is almost equivalent to the cost of electricity? I bought 10k fuel in my sister's gen and I have not used it for more than 20hrs and the fuel is almost finished are u now saying fueling the gen for 30days will cost the same as having light for 30days.

Friend of mine have it installed in 2022 for about 500k. Its about +700k now...but worth it...

it should be more thou, maybe around 2m or more. Solar self isn't cheap again but it is far better than our current electrical situation. I am currently in ekiti state, ikole precisely and most of them here use solar because they hardly give them light. U will see people using solar to power everything from fridge to even pumping machine, but it isn't cheap as only the rich can afford it sha.

Government actually subsides education. For students attending government schools .Even at university level, which is why when you get admitted into a government university, you don't pay fees in the millions of naira like they do at private universities.

And they have been doing so for decades

we have some private school that don't pay millions of naira as school fees. We have some that pay as low as 500-600k and don't forget they don't have the number advantage like government uni do. For example unilag pays above 100k and have more than 15k student whereas and whereas landmark university pay let say above 700k and have like 2k students.

i don't get why u are making it about tribe here since the girl is from delta state. If u are from that part, u will under that the family of the girl mostly decides what and what goes on during the marriage.
