The gifts of tongues can be dormant in a way if you do not exercise it often. I won't use the word "forget" because it is already yours, but you can "neglect" it. Paul told Timothy, "Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands." (1 Timothy 1:6).

Another version says: This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.

So, it depends on you to exercise spiritual tongues so that it won't lie dormant. The more you exercise it, the more it expands.

*Yes, I can assure you that tongues change with spiritual growth. Some can only babble like a baby (two words), and some speak tongues like men (long sentences)--a chain of tongues. The more you grow spiritually, being build up with revelation (understanding) and wisdom, the more your tongue will change with time, and as you exercise it, it will start changing/upgrading. Anyone who is still in the babbling stage should beg God to change his or her tongue.

Paul, as a man, spoke in tongues more than the whole Corinthians church, that should tell you that man himself is a tongue (1 Corinthians 14:18). He is deep.

With time, some can break into angelic tongues, and I have heard it before, and it wasn't pre-planned. He just caught wind of an angelic conversation. Immediately, I knew in my spirit this is angelic and different, but I waited, until those who have more spiritual age than I confirmed it while replying to the tongues the man spoke.


*It takes faith sometimes to just speak in tongues without being in the atmosphere of prayer because you are not used to it. It might be due to what you have been told. The atmosphere gets charged with Spirit because you are praying and more in tune and relaxed. You just need to free yourself. I mean don't be stiff. One secret is that when you feed more on the Word and it is like you just want more, it should be easy for you to break into tongues effortlessly without praying, and it will become part of you.

About your second question. The gifts of the Spirit are good, and Paul said he wished that we would prophesy more than we speak in tongues according to 1 Corinthians 14:5. The spirit of prophecy is to make the will of God known over a matter of what He will do (foretelling), to declare the eternal counsel of God, to put to light hidden things, and to also give exhortation to men.

Now, prophecy is good, but the motive behind why we seek prophecy can be bad, which will thereby unduly expose us to evil spirits.

Prophecy should be as the Spirit leads, not as we lead. You don't force prophecy; it should be as being stirred or moved by the Holy Ghost. It is possible to switch into the Spirit, and it is not by your will but by His.

When you start forcing gifts, you are being gradually taken over by an occultic spirit.


*The essence of the church is to dispense the knowledge and the know-how of eternal life, not how to prophesy. Any assembly built around gifts won't last. That is why one can easily be tricked by evil spirits because such a one is not rooted in the Word. So, it is not a good thing to base a ministry on revealing hidden truth. Some have it real, others are fake, but both with time cannot touch the soul of a man because whether there are prophecies, they will fail; (I Corinthians 13:8 ).

Nothing can reveal hidden truths or mysteries to a man than the Spirit of revelation and wisdom. And the hidden truths we should seek are things embedded in the manifold wisdom of God, the mystery of Christ, and the lifestyle of the world to come.

The slave girl gave Paul and the people of Philippi an accurate prophecy about his ministry in that city and what they will benefit, but she was declaring it by a wrong spirit. We all know what ended it. Anybody can access data in the realm of the spirit, but the question lies in if the source is God. It will take discernment of spirits to know which is which. So, you can see some operating by the spirit of divination, thinking it is by the spirit of prophecy, while some are truly operating by genuine prophecy. However, not all prophecy will be fulfilled.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is [d]perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. (1 Corinthians 13:9)

Well, what can I say, to each its own. But since you asked for my view, I will tell you in a way you can understand. There is no fuss about it, and I prefer to call it much ado about nothing, given the arguments about it in the past and present. The reason it is now an issue is that some church leaders failed to feed the people with truth and teach them with the knowledge of righteousness so that they can change internally and become a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7). Why I'm putting this forward is so that you can really understand. Whatever is not given free will be collected via extortion or compulsion or schemes. Let me break it down into points so you can decide for yourself. I can't force it.

1) Know that not all assemblies of Christ's followers believe in tithes. Some denominations don't take it. Will you now say they are in jeopardy of wrongdoing?

2) Some denominations that are now tithe collectors didn't start that way in the beginning. The message of prosperity brought the tithe wave on churches --- how to provoke your blessing and force Abraham's blessings.

3) The reason for tithe collection and its popularity now is due to some of these things: Financing the church, welfare, and projects; Greed, Ignorance, Stingy fold, Laziness, and the dream to live in affluence.

Let's move to part B.

A) I believe tithes were not collected in the first-century Church if you look at the Church at Jerusalem that was mostly Jews. Check Acts 4:32-35:

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Now, maybe they would have run out of money at some point if they weren't scattered, but I know what you see above is not a church run on tithes. They were of one heart and soul. They know cheerful giving, and it is not based on tithe or compulsion. Can we say we are of one heart and of one soul today?

B) What they did then were contributions, gifts, and palliatives. Check Romans 15:26: For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

Also check 1 Corinthians 16:1-3:

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

You can also check Phillipians 4:15-18.

C) As you can see above, tithe isn't a thing in the New Testament church. Why? Common sense should also tell us that if it were, it would give the people of circumcision a foothold to lash out at not just only Paul, even the apostles of the Lamb that, you see? If they must tithe to enter heaven, to receive blessings, then they must be circumcised according to Moses to receive salvation since tithing is also of the Jews, not Gentiles. (Acts 15:1-2. Also vs. 28).

Vs 28: For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

Read that whole chapter.

I will rest my pen here. That's my view. No compulsion. I will proceed to the next question.

First, God does not hate astrology or star gazing. He created the stars and their course. God, once asked Job,

Paul said something about how the creation speaks of the personality of the Invisible God (Romans 1:20). However, what God doesn't like is we using it as the course for our life because we can be easily seduced by them and led astray. We are higher than constellation (they should be meant for signs - Genesis 1:14). People will look at them in awe and fall into idolatry, and forget about God. The reason they will worship creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever (Romans 1:25).

*In this time & age, you can easily land at the footstep of an evil spirit with astrological knowledge if not guided by the Spirit because most of those things have been hijacked. The safest way is to see astrological wisdom through scripture. Satan has also anointed 'things' to bring forth lust in man. You can see it yourself in our society.

*The best way is to seek a wisdom/knowledge that is pure and holy. No matter how beautiful an astrological knowledge is, check the end result, is it Christ?

We can reduce evil, but we cannot totally extinguish its fire in this present world because this present earth is running a program that has been tampered with. Matthew 13:24-30.

Now, it is like me asking why my room is always dirty? What do I have to do? I have to sweep it constantly to keep it clean. Suffering and hunger are much because some people are also giving it breathing space because of greed, bitterness, haters of good, high mindedness, etc.

Some countries have much evil because good people are not also standing their ground in righteousness. God will not use magic to fix a country, He has already given soul-changing techniques that can make men express righteousness. You just have to follow it. When you have more people who are not changing their ways, evil will abound. Stinking odour attracts flies.

Remember, The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
(Psalm 115:16). We've got to fix it ourselves through divine wisdom and insight.

People are evolving natures, and with each nature comes an expression of evil. It takes nothing for God to change governance, but most times, He won't trump the will of the people. Remember the crowning of Saul.

We pray much, yet things are not changing? People forget prayer does not equate wisdom. A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished. (Proverbs 22:3). Not a prayerful man

It is by walk in righteousness, love, truth, peace can one change a nation. If an internal work is not being done in our assemblies, the outward will always be in calamity because the internal affects the external, and that is what we have failed to do in our temples of worship.

I have thought about it at a point in my life. The truth is, there is this mindset (which has become a stronghold in most) that God will come down from heaven to do the work for you, and some give testimonies in assemblies that paints God in a certain way that He is a sort of magician or money ritualist.

The Apostle Paul says, that if any would not work, neither should he eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). But since you are willing to work but unemployed, your prayer should be God, give me understanding (light) to see money-making ideas, and the courage to pursue it. Do not say, God, give me money. God won't encourage our laziness.

We both know the situation of our country, despite that, many are breeding cash like herds of cattle, even unbelievers (remember, He causes the rain to fall on both the good and the wicked).

* Now, there are laws in the natural which follow wealth creation, and if you follow the principles, you will stand on your feet financially. Where God comes in is to breathe on your handiwork for easiness.

Solomon says in Proverbs 24:4: By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

So, you need the right knowledge to access money generation.

a) What are you good at or what do you do?
b) What are your skills?
(c) What do you spend more time on?
(d) How can you monetize your skill(s)?
(e) Can you learn a high-income skill to improve your financial strength?

You need to ask yourself these questions.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels (Prov. 1:5) (Prov. 9:9)

What to do:

1) Learn a trend and follow it: there are many online and offline businesses you can key into and improve your earnings. Use Google extensively. Watch business news, read blogs that have something to offer. The more you key into a path, the sooner it will start opening up to you.

2) Like I told someone, follow the financial light of the Western world. They're the champions of these 21st-century trends. The faster you glean from their experience and model, the sooner you can do the same and customize yours to fit your life.

3) Making money is not easy; it requires patience---sowing and harvesting. Prayer for understanding and grace makes it easy.

4) Making millions of naira is like breeding pigs. It's much easier when you start with two.

5) When thoughts flash through your mind about business, write it down. Sometimes, God has given us the answer we need already, we just need to see it. Don't be like a friend who was praying to God for money, and He replied, " Don't kill me. I've already answered you." (more of like, stop pestering me)

6) Finally, unlearn, relearn, modify, customize, and know what works for you.
