Please permit me to post this here, I'm not a regular visitor to this section. However, Nairaland is a great forum for picking the brains of people and learning tremendously about things you wouldn't normally figure out on your own.
I believe there are religious scholars on this section, and my aim is to learn. I am not going to argue, debunk, or cause anyone to feel attacked for their beliefs.
Please feel free and share your opinions clearly with points to back it and summarily make this topic fun for us to learn, and in learning, understand.

This is my thought:
The recorded story of creation is not very conclusive, in that it leaves too many unanswered questions in the minds of people who are curiously inclined to know WHY or HOW. For the purpose of this thread, I seek to understand a WHY.

The question is this:
WHY did God not create Adam & Eve in the form of a child?
I don't mean as a baby, I mean as a child probably between the ages of 10 — 16.

This is the reason for the question:
Adults are fully grown and completely subject to their own choices and desires, this means Adam and Eve as fully grown adults probably were going to do something on their own freewill somewhere down the line.
If they were children, they certainly would be obedient and reverence God as a true father on the assumption that God is an adult.

I understand how conflicted this discussion can get, so please try to keep it civil.
The question again is:
WHY did God not create Adam & Eve in the form of a child?

It is funny though, I meant your question, but I will try and answer your questions only. First, God didn't create ADAM and EVE in the form of a child. If we are to determine the age of Adam according to earthly measurements, He is between the age of 26-30 when he was made. Angels too were made not born like us, same with Adam, so that should tell you He was very close to being an angel, almost an angel. The lowest of God's creation that stood in Eden was a grown man who is meant to learn full obedience. Having the nature of a child is another thing. Remember Jesus said if you're not like that, you can't enter the kingdom of God--it talks of humility and meekness (Matthew 18:3). Now, how can I guess the age of Adam while he was made? Check the life of the last Adam-(Jesus). He attained the state (full stature) of Adamhood at age 30, that was when He began full ministry and was tempted by the devil. If He hasn't become Adam, satan won't even come. So, satan came to Him like he did the first Adam.

And in my spiritual experience, those who have encountered cherubs like the archangel Michael said his look, and that of Gabriel was like age 25 and 26, and it is most likely Adam was of that age when he was made too. They are young guys who excel in strength. It is the operation of death that makes us wax old. And who told you children are obedient to their parents...we all know the stubborn stunts we pull when dad and mum aren't looking. You should know that a child can't handle the earth, it will take a man to govern it. Reason Adam isn't a teenager per say. What transpired in Eden wasn't the battle of children but a type of man versus another type of man (the deceiver). God at the end of days had to reproduce another Man to defeat that 'old' man who fell the first man in Eden. But I'm a bit inclined to age 30. Thanks.

I was moved by the Spirit to comment on this thread, and I chose to say one of two things to clear the air. Let's first unlearn some "woni-wope" (dem say dem say) news that can confuse and distort accuracy. Man's will wasn't involved in his spiritual birth?TRUE. Does that speak of foreknowing? NO. Was man's will of acceptance involved in switching on the ignition key? YES.

These needs explanations. Man's will was not involved in his spiritual birth or salvation. Why did I say yes? Because what heaven is saying has been misunderstood by some. Man's spiritual birth or salvation is a program designed by the Godhead. Angels' will are not involved, it was the Godhead who designed the software of salvation for mankind. Not an iota of man's efforts was involved to design that program because you can't fight and win against someone higher than you. These are host of wickedness who have sworn and taken oath that men shall not enter into this salvation of the Godhead. Angels' will are not involved because the fallen spirit they want to save man from even comes from among them, even the first world of the angelic. Now, I'm going somewhere. It will take someone with an higher eyes and power to see what Satan has done and provide solution to his formula of death. An "antivirus" or counter formula that's is extremely powerful. Now, if heaven say you weren't saved by your power, it means it wasn't flesh that designed the program of salvation that defeated Satan. It doesn't mean, as misinterpreted that the will (which is the acceptance) wasn't involved in collecting the gift of the salvation program to flush out the virus in our system. Those are two different things. Flesh or man's will can't think where it will have a solution to Satan's kind of death. Give it 1 million years, it can't break through. It can never. It will take the wisdom of Him who has been in eternity past because the angel who designed the software to kill man was also a guy of knowledge. Very smart. You now see why God needed to came via Jesus. Was man's will involved in sending Jesus. No, they weren't even there when the heavenly court gathered to make a pronouncement that man shall be saved. God found us first, before we found Him. However, was man's will of acceptance (choice) to believe in Jesus to save us from Satan's venom involved? YES. Now, the glory of salvation belongs to God, without which we wouldn't have known what is meant to be saved. Do we know the core meaning? NO. All we are just shouting is we want to be saved. It's like advertising a product for Oshodi market where crowd gather, everyone just they collect is own just to feel among. Rashidat come, ask, wetin dem dey do for there? Na one product dem they give for free o. The maker talk say if you follow the manual, use am effectively thrice daily everyday of your life, you go reach a stage where you no go die, you go live, live and live (eternal life) . In fact, you go escape government's prison (hell fire).

Rashidat can't claim glory for designing such a product, na the inventor. She did not contributed anything to that program of producing that drug (which came in the form of the Man, Jesus). Lest any man should boast. However, the will to collect that product which is acceptance is solely on her. Adverts of the drug can come to help convince her that no be fake.. Na original. But it's still her choice. Dear, that's what it means that man's will wasn't involved in salvation program, not the acceptance of it. So, will is involved in acceptance. No be us designed salvation. But na we accept am. God will still say thank you for believing in me. That's how humble He is. When you get the salvation sef. You won't be able to boast about the will of acceptance because what He did for you and went through to produce that drug and make it effective is greater than what you can ever do.

Hearing ---> believing----> calling

Faith/Belief comes from hearing.

vs 17 so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God

We believe to be saved but we cant believe if faith does not come on hearing the word. You see? so believe/faith is not a product of our will/choice but a product of God's word. God sends faith through his word to us to believe and be saved not decide whether to accept it or not. Abi prOblem?

vs 20 But Esias is very bold and said, i was found of them that sought me not, i was made unto them that ask me not

faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It's by hearing you're mold into who you are--teachings of the Father or teachings of this world. Now, the first level of coming to the Father is to hear. Now, God is saying in these last days, anyone who doesn't have bum bum to sit and hear is in trouble because the next level of faith (New Testament) comes by hearing. This isn't mountain business. How shall they hear without a Preacher? Of course, no one can see the Father for who He is except the Son and no one can see the Son, except Preachers who have heard Him (raised by His words). Now, men cannot hear Him who has destroyed principalities and powers except these Preachers who are tuned to this heavenly network of the Son comes to the scene.

How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? If these Preachers don't come and reveal the Son to men, some will not believe. Our brother, James said, do you believe there is one God? Even demons believe and they tremble. Those are spirits who believe there is one who sits on the THRONE. They once believed in His will before they fell into darkness, and influenced men to be trapped in same darkness like them. They know the truth because they have once felt/seen His glory but we haven't, that's why it's easy to trick men to refuse His invitation unto salvation.he Now, if these Preachers don't reveal the Son, people won't believe because they have not heard the words of Eternal Life (what can really convince them. These are words of wisdom that is not of this world. It's new even though it seems foolish to the world).

How then shall they call on him they have not believed? Of course, they can't begin to call on Him like the days of Seth when they have not heard the words of Truth. When they cannot see they have been lied to by an adversary. Men won't be able to call out His kingdom to earth. Now, about choice, we all choose to believe or reject. Heaven cannot force anyone. In fact, choose ye this day whom you shall serve; choose between life and death. But I will advise you to choose life says Moses. Some will see the tree of life (the words of truth), they will shy away from it like the first Adam did. They will reject it because of its responsibilities. Why? Because the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil speaks of greater things, better promises, far boastful than the tree of life (which is Christ). In fact, to get to Christ, you have to pass through the crucifix and endure the pain and shame. Some, most cannot. They will eventually go for the offer of this world. Now, this is where faith comes in. If I jump at the offer of either of those two trees (it's by choice), no one put AK 47 for my head to pick one. If I choose the tree of life, I chose it by faith. Why by faith, because it is the evidence of things not seen. That's talks of hope. The tree of life does not vouch for itself. It doesn't divulge all its promises at a go. To be candid, it looks unpromising. If I now jump at the offer, not knowing what will happen, heaven will now say, wow, Elohim, this one have faith o, then it will be accounted to me for righteousness. However, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil will infact, tell you, you will be like God, it looks promising, I will give you the world. Only reject the offer of the other tree. Bow down and worship me. As a matter of fact, it is not promising. You have nothing to lose. I accept it, meaning I have been moved by what I see. The TOL dwells in the realm of the unseen while TOGE dwells in the seen realm. It is in the now. You will have the inheritance quickly. You can't tell a man that his reward is in heaven and he won't look at you somehow. You dey mad? Where is heaven? Heaven wey you no even see. Kai, blessed are they who do not see, yet believe. If that man believes without seeing, then he 'stole' heaven's culture which is faith. Much word can't fill a basket. Hope you understand.

In my early days of blogging, I knew what I went through for some days in the hands of spammers. Apart from spammers, some comments might be inappropriate. You don't want the world to see you as some blog owner who can't keep his house clean from cockroaches do you? So, it is doesn't affect stats. Wrong. Just imagine Peter or Paul doing that. When a Church has nothing to offer, it delves into worldly activities. Is this the time of joke or comedy on earth? Satan is busy killing men, and all we can think of is comedy in gospel. This is a serious business of pulling down the dragon's throne on earth. When we should be busy cracking the Scriptures that hasn't fully opened, some are busy with gospel comedy. I wonder if Enoch would have skipped death if he was involved with things like that.

Benny Hinn might have left his first love along the way. There are many departments in the Kingdom of God. However, the time for prosperity message has passed since. What men should preach now is the gospel of Christ, which will bring about the end. Right now, most have the anointing, but they're not preaching from it; they are actually preaching this world and things that passes away. Miracles are good, financial blessings are OK. If you have a genuine minister that can give you that, please collect it, but don't stay there, seek the blessing that cannot be received by miracles. Anyone whose major pursuit in this end times are miracles, such a believer is not far from the camps of the anti-Christ. That's one of the tools they will use to deceive people even though there are genuine ones. May God keep us from all activities that are not expedient and Spirit-approved. Amen.

Kudos to all contributors of this thread. I just signed up to freelancer.com a few days ago and I got awarded a project.
I took advantage of the 1 month free professional trial and started bidding. Upon me accepting the project, I was debited $5 from my gtb account which is about 2200 naira.
I got talking with another employer who wanted to hire me but because of the other experience, I told him to use the 'hire me' option because of the 10% fee charged by freelancer. As i clicked the 'accept' button, it was shown to me that $5 would be deducted again.
Advice me on what to do, please. I cannot afford another $5 as exchange rate no dey smile o. My payoneer card is slated to arrive late October.

Next time, don't use a bank account/card that you have money inside. As I dey, I know my Gtb account is for Internet/freelancing stuff. So, if I want to pay for anything, I put the exact amount therein. Don't put yourself in unnecessary debt. If you only have one account, I would suggest you get two. I got married last year at 26, used to work for an oil servicing firm, about 5'11" and dress well on the average.

On many occasions, while with my wife, I see signals from small girls and big girls too, and I mean it's real. Most times, I tell my wife when these happen and she tells me they are lies.

I currently average 2,000 daily views on my blog www.francismary.org so I believe that the traffic is not genuine(if the numbers beside the ip addresses are number of hits from an ip), my blog has been down for over 15 hours and it's not funny. I have blocked all those ip addresses like 10 hours ago and my blog is not yet up.

I know there are advantages of using WordPress but with blogger I would not be having issues like this I believe. I have a custom Doman name and I can easily switch to blogger but I don't know if it's the best for me.

Choose whichever suit you and if you are convinced. Otherwise, switch to another hosting website that can offer you what you want. I'm disappointed in Ipage though. Not all hosting website offered unmetered bandwidth (note: not unlimited bandwidth). Unlimited bandwidth are in fact limited; most hosting companies are not honest enough to tell you the actual limit usage while unmetered means you can use whatever you like. I've used ipage, the last of my website with them I transferred to Qservers. Though, I've not had problem with them like that (who knows If same will happen if my traffic grows).

I've moved to Blogger from WordPress this year and back to WordPress again last month. You can choose whichever platform you like so far you're getting cash and exposure. But note the things you have to consider:


- There will be much 404 error link you have to fix (WordPress to blogger)
- Change of permalink structure you have to take care (related to above)
- Finding suitable template for your blog (thank God it's not e-commerce site)
- You will lose some SEO traffic and it will take a while to bounce back and search engines to index your site.

Hopefully, experts will shed more light.

The sharp contrast in the Nigerian christian behaviour in the church and in their daily lives, is a sad one.

Don't be tired of the Lord's Church, for at the appointed time when He shall restore His people and remove chaffs and earthly materials used in His building, ye shall be able to partake of the Blessing.

When you go to the gathering of the saints, go with your faith and the Lord's eyes. Do not go with your brain, for earthly reasoning cannot discern spiritual matters. Rather go with your spiritual eyes (the eyes of the Lord) to discern and perceive the words, atmosphere and the Preacher if they are of the truth and speaking the truth according to the doctrine of the Lord Jesus. For many among those who call His name, have gone out into the world (even though they're in the Church), teaching vain things, telling lies with deceitfulness and speaking twisted truth. Their god is now their belly.

Be like the Berean Christians, who still scrutinized our brother's teachings, Apostle Paul, despite being a mighty Apostle. For many are now among us, who are not from Him nor of Him, using the scriptures for their personal gains, teaching things that are anti-God and the growth of His Church. Soon, He Whose fan is in His hand shall visit His Church, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner.

Do not use your brain, try and get and use the Lord's eyes. Even with your brain, you can still get deceived, for higher deception cometh that no brain can withstand, after which earthly men shall wonder after. But you need the eyes of Him before whom all things are naked.

Thank God you are still a Christian because this is what is driving people away.

tithing is scriptural but it's not in the New Testament for a reason. The reason is Act 4:32, which no Church in the world is doing because someone is missing and the knowledge of Him has not reached its fullness. This is the reason Tithing is not needed in NT. But now, if you believe in it (not cajole or forced or swindled), it will work for you as a covenant, not as a necessity or that because it's the popular norm. If you don't believe in it, nothing dey happen, only be a cheerful giver, both in, Church and outside, being a sweet smelling fragrance to the Lord, for at the appointed time, your good deeds shall be remembered before the Lord like Cornelius.

No. What will get you into trouble is consistently accessing your account with Naija IP address. Even the SSN, I just put something there (though not advisable, instead get an EIN from IRS). Then you are good to go. However, it's good to use one's country.. It will save you a lot of headaches (Although I know using a non-native speaker flag can jeopardize your chances of getting high paying jobs in some niche.
