What you should do is to:
1. Start living life as if your brother is dead. It is his money not yours. Don’t be entitled to someone elses money. It is sad that he isn’t helping, but you need to learn to live with that reality & stop lying !
2. Think of something you can do to raise money. For instance you can take your shool ID card along when you go look for people who will give you a job. Let them know you need the job to survive in school.
3. You can do the following jobs on weekends and weekday evenings: Washing clothes for people, washing cars in estates far from your school, sweeping compunds, teaching secondary school students at tutorial centers in the evening, doing home lessons, home service cutting people’s hair if you have the skill, etc.
4. Approach big men/women in your church/mosque, talk to your pastor/imam to help. Remember to introduce yourself with your student ID. Let people know you don’t necessarily need handouts and you are ready to work.
5. When you get the jobs, cut down drastically on any extravagance, develop the attitude of saving and continue to be diligent and committed to your job and school.
6. Try not to date for now. You can be only date if you see a woman who understands your predicament and is willing to be with you, this is a rarity in Nigeria of today. So, don’t add woman headache to yours for now.

Each time I call my brother to please send me money for upkeep in school, he won't give me. I asked him why but he will tell me he doesn't have it.

But whenever they tell him I'm sick in school by the sick bay head, he will rush and send money into the account for drugs.

During the long strike, I worked at a bread factory to raise money for my upkeep in school in school.

Now, my department has a compulsory excursion and it way expensive. I called him and told him and he said, "He doesn't have the money."

I used the money I saved to pay for the compulsory excursion. I will be down with nothing for upkeep.

I don't want to lie or keep lying about my health to get money from him.

The experience and training you get from a small job preps you for the big one.
The savings and investments you make on a small business preps you for the big hit.
Most Nigerians don't realize in life, one has to grow organically. Only a minute few have the privilege to grow miraculously and inorganically. Most times those that grow in an unnatural and inorganic way become cancers and don't last long. That is the trade-off for making it suddenly most times.

1. That car can still run like new if you give the right mechanic.
2. Make sure you do an engine compression test first before attempting to change engine gasket. If the compression is not to spec, sell the engine & relplace it with a known good one. Otherwise, sell the car. Naija mecs will kill you with bill if you attempt to correct yhe compression to spec.
3. If the heat has not warped the pistons or distorted the engine, you can just change the gasket & you are good to go.DO NOT buy gaskets from ladipo people! If you want that car back, get genuine TOYOTA gaskets from TOYOTA NIGERIA!

Pipe supplying water from radiator to engine got bad and I didn't take notice on-time. So they were limited supply of water.

And I was careless to check my temperature at the dashboard.

I called my mechanic and he said my top gasket got burnt. He said if we get it replaced, it will be alright.

My friend who's in to car dealing business said he can help me sell it and get another car.
