Some wey Alat (maybe Wema as a whole) done do already "codedly." Was trying to make a $13.90 payment the past week and the transaction was declined.

Support informed me when I contacted that the bank had barred international transactions on their Naira cards, without informing me (and maybe other customers as well).

Sold number 67 two times. In 2021 for 350 domain dropped..sold it again to another end user for 300 in 2022. Port size geo: around 120. Brandables: 300+.

I made a mistake today. I was taking a nap when I checked my phone. I got an offer of $500 on DAN for a domain I listed for $3988. I wanted to counter with $2500. I never knew I was accepting the offer. The guy paid immediately. The thing pain me but I just have to allow the domain go in the spirit of fairness.

Congrats again on this sale, although I wonder if that's what you'd like to hear given the situation.

I was wondering if you could give an idea or tips on how you price your domains.

I know someone might suggest using GoDaddy tool, Namebio, etc. I do all that but I have never managed to price a domain higher than 2,999 (and I think it's just one or two).

What do you consider before opting for those 3,000+ price tags? Thanks in anticipation.

Yeah, they are enough to receive funds. Just fill bank name, account name, and account number. Payoneer will verify the details. And you are not receiving money from abroad. A merchant (Located in Nigeria) will credit your account. The merchants are in partnership with Payoneer.

The interesting thing here is that I spent more than an hour on live chat yesterday for idea on how to do this. The agent simply concluded in the end that it's not possible.

Omo, you are God-sent o. I wasn't even going to consider the option of getting my money at the preposterous official rate, even after being told that withdrawing to a domiciliary account was impossible.

I think an ophthalmologist name would fall in that group as well.

There were only three fields for bank account (bank name, account name, and account number). Are those enough to receive payments to a domiciliary account, bearing in mind that you usually need to indicate the intermediary bank (abroad) as well? That's what I found to be confusing.

Anyone that has received wire transfer before should have an idea of what I was trying to describe.

So this is a thing? The two .xyz domains that God has helped me to sell were registered there - almost sold another weeks ago.

Interestingly, the only two brandables sold were also registered there!

That's the official rate (or thereabouts) for all banks, I guess. I think it's been over 2-3 years since I got Payoneer exchanged at the official rate because of its ridiculousness.

Please be warned, people. Some guys seem to be targeting owners of domain names with the "meta" keyword.

I received an email about about three hours ago, purportedly from Meta's legal department, informing me of a trademark infringement as regards one of my domains having that keyword.

A quick search few minutes ago revealed that it was most likely a scam email. It included a link with "ad-facebook.com" as the domain name.

Yet, this domain name (mine) is priced at less than 1,200 bucks. Maybe this is a sign to hike the price.

Update: This is looking somewhat real from further research. shocked

Wise offers US bank account and ACH routing numbers to receive payment from online marketplaces. Also, Afternic has already enabled the option of adding a US bank account and ACH routing numbers. However, adding a US bank account requires filling Tax Forms (Substitute Form W9), Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN). For a non-US resident, this is a tall order. The best option is to obtain a UK bank account from Wise and add to Afternic to receive payment. With a UK address, applicant is a non-US resident with no Substitute Form W9 requirements.

Apart from Wise, you can also sign up for UK, US and Euro bank accounts on Grey.
With Grey bank account, you can convert you funds into Naira at black market rate, and cash out through your local bank account.

Adding a US bank account by Wise on Afternic means you will select USA as your country since that is the address Wise gives. At stage 4, you will have to submit US tax info and SSN (if I'm not mistaken. You can crosscheck). Not sure you can get through this stage. I will suggest you generate UK Bank account, £, on Wise, and link same to your Afternic. Use the address provided by Wise, and choose your country as UK. It's very simple to link it since your option at stage 4 will be a non-US resident.

I don't know if Wise offers ACH-receiving accounts like Payoneer. If it does, there's a workaround.

You simply need to connect with Afternic support and request to be allowed to receive payments via ACH. The option can be enabled for you if they want to.

Hi guys, you need to be very careful while using SAV.
At exactly 8:02pm, I received a mail from Afternic that one of my domains has sold. I knew I bought the name recently so I rushed to check for the name in my account. On getting to my SAV account, I couldn't find my domain there. it was as if I was dreaming. I searched my domains one by one using different filters but I couldn't find it. Then I rushed to my email to see if I truly bought the domain, on getting there, I saw the receipt and the message they sent me that the domain is in my account.
I message SAV's customer care and they responded that I deleted the domain. Omo my head spark. Throughout my domaining career, I have never deleted any domain before. I had to give them some street madness. Last last, they have returned my domain to my account. The domain is still 15 days old so I have to wait for 45 more days to transfer it out.
Definitely, they wanted to play a fast one on me maybe by selling the domain behind me.
I can't wait to move all my domains out of that registrar. I have lost 3 sales with them in the past. Na so I for take lose $2988 again now

Wow, this is bad publicity for Sav. When I was thinking it is a registrar I want to be with for the long term, especially for non-Geos because of their low prices.

Don't they send a notification email when someone deletes a domain name? So how would a person delete a name and not know? This one shock me o.

If they ever try that with me, I might be forced to pay higher fees for transfers to either Namesilo or Dynadot.

No, you can't do that. At least to the best of my knowledge. What I would suggest is to possibly change your bank account at Afternic to Grey.co US bank account. You can withdraw the funds directly to your Nigerian bank account at 588/$ exchange rate. which is far better than what you will sell your dom dollar.

I don’t normally add price in the first outbound. Did my first outbound immediately I bought it in December but there was no response. Did follow up again telling them I’ve reduced the price $550 yet no response. Did third follow up in February with $450 and no show too. Then I figured they were in winter period so vacations in that city might not be selling at that time so I decided to leave it till few weeks before summer vacations. decided to do a fresh outbound without price few days ago, got two people who were interested. Told one my price and he went mute. Told the second guy the price is $650 and he said if I would collect $375 that he’d make sure to pay that day so I accepted, imported lead and he paid few hours after. Funniest thing is the price on the landing page was $250. Had to change it immediately.
