I submitted this name this name "CartAsap", whois said it's available, GoDaddy said it's available to Squadhelp on the 27th of August and it was rejected only for me to check it today and it's being registered. Hmmmmmm am really pained right now

Yeah, you don't have any reason to take my word on this. But I'd rather risk the $9 on a name I feel good about - that's why I try to avoid registering too many brandables.

TWIMC: if you have some money you won't need to use anytime soon in the bank, you might do better getting some valuable domains with part of it and pray for the best. The inflation trend in the country is frightening!

I think I have sold one or two state domains in the past and I did outbound them. I usually collect relevant leads anywhere in such a state. However, I may skip those ones that specifically state that they serve a particular city in the state.

Standard listing domains are not promoted (except you pay for promotion).

It's just the way I think. I have never tried submitting unregistered names for the reason stated.

But then I might just explore the idea of starting to submit names that I have no interest in registering by myself.

By the way, I didn't do any optimisation or pay for promotion for the domain that sold on Afternic. SH is just more or less an experimental tool for me right now.

As I wrote, I don't have a premium listing, but I do have standard listings there. I have decided to not use any more money to submit for review until I make a sale there (if God grants).

SH isn't in my long-term plan. The single brandable I have sold (just recently) seems to further suggest I may not be wrong with that stance. The sale came from elsewhere despite pointing nameservers to SH and completing the description.

You are not the only one searching for good names. Whether it's on watch list or not, if will be picked, it will be picked and registered. Have you not witnessed a situation whereby a name you thought about, written in your jotter was registered few days after you checked it was available. It shows, people think like you.

To decide if name is good is one's perogative which is kinda twisted.

Every SH owned name is great but ask yourself, can you manage the portfolio you currently have if you owned them?

Imagine,a portfolio of 300+ ain't easy to manage. To break even,no beans oo

You think if you registered that name, the owner will actually buy it from you or search for similar niche?

Lots of these people don't have the luxury of money to buy $1K+ names. They rather go for $9 and make it suitable for their purpose.

My advice - names you believe you can renew for 3yrs+ are those you should register. If you can't, no matter how you love the name, let SH own it.

The bold portion is more than a coincidence. That is more likely to happen if you check domain name availability in the wrong places IMHO.

On this squadhelp issue, I'd advice everyone against submitting names you have faith in as an unregistered domain to them.

Most of their so called review experts and in-house review teams are Indians, and they're hungry like us. Those guys engage in backdoor practice. They'll delay your submission until they're sure they've regged the exceptional ones before approving it for you to chase shadows.

If you don't have the fund to buy the name, keep it in your watchlist until money comes. You can then register and submit to them - if you like.

I have never submitted an unregistered name to SH; don't even have a single listing in Premium.

Maybe it's the Nigerian in me. I distrust such models. I'd rather risk the 7-10 bucks on a name I see value in and then observe for any hint of real value.

I had the feeling it won't last despite someone who pitched it to me last year claiming it gives earning for life. To think this person was someone I knew from afar at church.

I have conditioned myself to not be swept off by what people say or who they are. I will allow you to say what you want to say and then go ahead to make my own research and do my permutations before deciding how much I am willing to risk.

Call me a non-serious, difficult or time-wasting person. It won't move to hurry and take any action.

You're not the only one experiencing this UI. This year for me hasn't been my best also. I've changed emails, changed templates, and other methods. Still, no positive results.

My recent sale came from Afternic at $799 despite having it for only $299 on Dan.

Even if I don't get a sale before, I still get some "no thanks". The case is now a little different as end users aren't interested in stressing and wasting their replies.

Ive opted to removing prices from my emails just to get the curious prospects to reply. I pray God of sales come to our aid.

I've since reduced all my domain names (almost at least) to $100 just to get some sales. Hopefully results will come

1. Take time to read at least the first 500 pages of this thread and then assess the domain names above based on what you read.

2. After reading almost all the pages (all is better), get more money and register more domains based on your learning.

Good morning, great ones! There's something bothering my mind and I was hoping someone here may be able to share some useful insights.

What's the longest time that could be considered "normal" to not get a positive response from outbound, even when offering massive discounts? I think what I'm experiencing right now might not be normal.

The last sale that I could easily trace to outbound marketing was around early to mid May. One of my two sales since then was a Geo and it sold unexpectedly at Afternic, even though no one took the discounted offer I had made several weeks before then.

Even changing to a new email address (outbound wise) hasn't seemed to improve anything. What could wrong, anyone?

I had registered a couple "realtor" domain names in the past, that is after avoiding them for a long time due to the trademark palaver. Interestingly, both got sold despite one of the leads contacted pointing out that risk.

On the issue of views, it can be strange sometimes. I noticed "higher than usual" number of views with two domains I registered including the keyword "footcare" on DAN. However, I can't remember any of those I reached out to responding that they were interested.

Well, I believe that 90% of people interested in doing this are in Nigeria and will definitely be using pickup services of folks in the USA. In most cases sellers prefer to meet in a public place like a bank environment, eateries or on the street. Just like we have some ‘dangerous’ areas in Nigeria the same is true with certain communities in the west too. So I will reemphasize checking to make sure the item is not underpriced, that’s a big red flag!

I have issue activating my Payoneer because I lost access to my Nigerian phone number. Until I travel back home to fix that, Gtbank and Upwork will continue to shortchange me.

The official sell rate (you selling) was around N410 when I checked recently. Of course, Upwork's payment processor probably also charges something for their service.

Guys, why is it that Ubersuggest, Domain Index and Estibot give different data for the same domain name.

Today, i used ubersuggest and it gave me SV: 590 CPC: $6.84 for a domain but Estibot and Domain Index gave SV: 0 CPC: 0.

Among these three, whose data is more reliable?

To me, Estibot is a hope-killer of sorts. You'd often see them estimate a domain that sold for higher $Bleep at less than $100.

For instance, the tool priced two pending delete domains I was watching weeks ago at no more than $100 around the time. One was a city+dentist domain and the other Business/Law/Tampa. Both were drop-caught!

All these tools are actually only better than nothing. It's still left to each person to decide what prices work for them. I prefer GoDaddy's appraisal tool plus maybe Namebio to determine prices.
