AMZYMAYO:Boss, what you described above is practically what I have been experiencing! We pray for better days ahead. Your recent sale is a wonder. Imagine a $500 difference. I thought briefly at a time that maybe Dan was the problem, but people here are still making frequent sales on there. It's just confusing. ![]() |
viktor88:And you think "how well" is a factor of how much you have learned and put into practice, huh? If only you knew those who know less do better in many cases. How well isn't just based on how much you know! |
TheTraveler:Baba, let me just drop my two cents: 1. Take time to read at least the first 500 pages of this thread and then assess the domain names above based on what you read. 2. After reading almost all the pages (all is better), get more money and register more domains based on your learning. Godspeed! |
IdeasPro:You've been peeping into my mind, huh? ![]() Thanks for your advice. Of course, yes, I have reached out to you previously via email. Also, I have gone through the materials but I am trying to "clear my table" at the moment. ![]() There is a huge backlog of things I wanted to learn, so I am trying to establish an order so I don't abandon things halfway. @tranxo, thanks for your comment. What you wrote brought to mind the NP post that I read and shared the link here recently regarding pricing. I'm taking notes! I'd like to see more of this tranxo. ![]() @tinnymerit, you're recognised! |
Good morning, great ones! There's something bothering my mind and I was hoping someone here may be able to share some useful insights. What's the longest time that could be considered "normal" to not get a positive response from outbound, even when offering massive discounts? I think what I'm experiencing right now might not be normal. The last sale that I could easily trace to outbound marketing was around early to mid May. One of my two sales since then was a Geo and it sold unexpectedly at Afternic, even though no one took the discounted offer I had made several weeks before then. Even changing to a new email address (outbound wise) hasn't seemed to improve anything. What could wrong, anyone? Thanks in anticipation. |
allandutch:I think it's specifically the singular version, but I may be wrong. I had registered a couple "realtor" domain names in the past, that is after avoiding them for a long time due to the trademark palaver. Interestingly, both got sold despite one of the leads contacted pointing out that risk. |
halogate:Could be bot and/or people who saw it on the drop list. On the issue of views, it can be strange sometimes. I noticed "higher than usual" number of views with two domains I registered including the keyword "footcare" on DAN. However, I can't remember any of those I reached out to responding that they were interested. Good luck! |
DrOladipo:Great job you're doing here, DrOladipo. Well done! Please could you help me get the link between the quoted? Did you mean a seller not wanting to meet in a public place could be a scammer? |
This might make some interesting read on domain pricing for people who haven't seen it: https://www.namepros.com/threads/some-very-interesting-changes-in-pricing-numbers-and-strategy-during-2021.1247270/ I stumbled upon it today. Bonsujk, so na you be that person I don dey see for NP since. ![]() |
It just came to my mind to search "Glo *555* recharge fraudulent" and voila I saw this page at the top of the results. Monday5, I find it interesting that you put this in the crime section, too. ![]() Two years after and Glo still continues this trash. I can't remember seeing any other network use a recharge code of rival network for special recharge but Glo. This happened to me few minutes ago (for the second time). I became aware of the 5X bonus more or less after the first mistake. Imagine loading to buy data (and manage their network) and you get this shock. Seeing that the network has been allowed to continue using this code is simply another manifestation of the despondency-inducing state of the country. Things that work as they should are far outnumbered by those not working. NCC is practically useless as far as I am concerned. They'd make you go through protocols all for nothing! ![]() |
tonididdy:Possible. Clever thinking. But I think there is still a possibility of that being an oversight, however low. |
Congrats to all recent sellers. Bonsujk, massive results you have there! It seems like I can't even sell a pin these days through outbound marketing. |
IamNumeroUno:You're welcome. IMHO, I don't think Upwork is really to blame but the policy makers in the country. The official sell rate (you selling) was around N410 when I checked recently. Of course, Upwork's payment processor probably also charges something for their service. |
NetValueFX:Thanks! But could you give some tips on how to use those techniques/indicators to help me kick my study off? ![]() I have tried many things that didn't work in the end to the extent that I am having some self-doubt when it comes to trading. ![]() |
Iamnumerouno, I am really impressed by the earnings you posted! Makes me wonder what I have been doing with life. ![]() I wish to learn this as well but many things are competing for my attention right now that I have become rather indecisive. ![]() The power situation also doesn't help since the training will be done online. The last time I used power was on Saturday and I can't do many important things right now. Why don't you consider having a Payoneer account for holding your funds or are you using your converted funds immediately for some project in Nigeria? You're being short-changed with the exchange rate IMHO. |
I stumbled on this thread tonight from another thread. And I have to say you at least proved some points with your performance, NetValueFX. Ignore what some doubting persons have to say. It's left to each person to filter the lie from the truth and hatred from genuine concerns. You made reference to The Candle Stick Bible. I didn't realise it's something I have read in the past and never took action on until I downloaded it. One thing I can say about the book, though, is that it made for a good read. Please could you point me to materials on how to fine-tune signals with fractals, EMA and equidistant channel? Thanks in anticipation. |
allandutch:To me, Estibot is a hope-killer of sorts. You'd often see them estimate a domain that sold for higher $Bleep at less than $100. For instance, the tool priced two pending delete domains I was watching weeks ago at no more than $100 around the time. One was a city+dentist domain and the other Business/Law/Tampa. Both were drop-caught! All these tools are actually only better than nothing. It's still left to each person to decide what prices work for them. I prefer GoDaddy's appraisal tool plus maybe Namebio to determine prices. |
tranxo:This. In fact, they'd need to offer more than cryptos for me. |
dazzlingd:Man, what are you getting at? Who said being 100% honest? (I knew someone would pick on that). It's still a democracy and everyone has their way of doing things. What sits well with some don't with others. |
IdeasPro:Thanks, sir. I'll get in touch. |
tranxo: HIScraziness:Thanks, bosses! Yeah, I am aware that people with accents and even those that can't string together complete, error-free sentences are in America. But some leads in North America can ask where you are calling from. Actually, two (one in the US and one in Canada) have asked me that in the past. I told them from Africa (didn't mention Nigeria) because I have no intention of lying in this business - not saying I'm a saint, though. I can remember one telling me he preferred carrying out businesses with locals. This is why I was wondering if anyone is doing better using their Nigerian info in email signatures. |
Mr2kul:Videography it is IMHO. |
IdeasPro:Boss, can you mentor me on this please? |
Please has anyone here have good results with sales when including information such as website, phone number, and maybe a social media link (LinkedIn or Facebook) in their signature? I have repeatedly seen people mention the importance of personal or business information in email signatures. I'm trying to decide if including information that suggests I'm in Nigeria wouldn't hurt. Although I have a US phone number, I don't want to explain why my accent is how it is so I am reluctant to include it. ![]() What do you suggest I include, please? Thanks in anticipation. |
lacicrips:I can wait if I already felt bullish about the name before I discovered potential buyers have gone ahead to register other extensions. I fit renew am for 10 years sef while hoping and praying for a big pay day. This one wey Naira dey fall anyhow. |
IdeasPro:I think that even puts you in a commanding position with your .com, no? |
Seven years later and nothing seems to have changed, especially with Glo. MTN and 9mobile only sends unwanted SMS like 2-4 times a week. But Glo, hardly a day goes by without sending at least one. Another symptom of the country's malaise. |
DomainGist:Baba, you beat me to this! ![]() Sav seems to be ready for some serious business. I am only aware of their issue with Dan, even that you can list there once the 60-day lock expires. Na to just list for Afternic until then. I even noticed something curious about the registrar today. I listed a few fresh domains I registered there at Afternic yesterday or so and I received the Fast Transfer opt-in email today. I wasn't expecting that at all due to the standard 60-day transfer lock. Other registrars would delay the email. |
I sometimes wonder if deaths were responsible for some valuable domains that expire daily. That seems like the most convincing reason to me. Yesterday I read on Domaining how eBanking in king was allowed to drop. I was like |
Splendidsolo:Thanks! Bro, let me first point out that I am no expert by any stretch, more especially when it comes to brandables. Is that noted? |
TeeSha:Thanks, boss. I simply combined some common words, plus a few others I observed to be appealing (including rock, strength, king etc), and ran a search for availability. As I wrote in the original post, I pointed the domain to SquadHelp. So I didn't use any Afternic lander; I only listed there. |
