Family › Re: Have You Been Betrayed Before? Share Your Story, You Might Heal by U1(m): 10:04pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
Came across this thread and the original narrative brought an experience of over 12 years ago to mind - when my hand was deformed by a machine where I worked then. I didn't really have a girl or close friends back then - just acquaintances. This was due to my personality. The story hasn't really changed that much today. So, I didn't actually expect people to come flocking around to show me love back then. But I felt hurt that people who should have shown more concern couldn't be bothered. The guy who normally operated the machine that caused the accident only came around once, if at all. I stayed at the Igbobi orthopaedic hospital for at least 50 days. I think the fellow even claimed a special flash drive I had on me at the time of the incident - won it from the Chinese Embassy in a quiz. He never had one before the accident, but I saw him with a drive that looked exactly like mine when I got discharged. Pa came around only once (from a state about two hours away). A girl I admired and who was willing enough to exchange numbers and calls with me never visited at all. There were others I can also mention, but... I didn't expect things to have turned out that bad. This is because I believe I couldn't have done such to someone I have related with at a similar level. However, the experience made me to rely more on myself. I live my life not expecting help from anyone and I pray to never have to depend on anybody. But if help comes from anywhere unexpected, I am always grateful, usually very so. |

OP, sadly, you couldn't overcome the temptation, as someone wrote.
In case of next time:
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:2-4 NIV)
Peace. |

I don't see any big deal here. The palm oil I have consumed (mostly, if not all), especially during my childhood years, was made this way. I could remember seeing those folks, women in particular, doing it this way those years we regularly went to farm.
I thought the process should have been improved by now, though. |

Juell: Nah, it doesn't work that way. My parents siblings knew I'm quite outside cos people don't understand me, but at home I'm very loud cos they know me and accepted me for who I am. But those outside will just assume he's quite and will not even make an attempt to reach out first. Funny enough some of them later see me with those I'm comfortable with and will shocked and be like "so u can talk like this". In summary what I'm saying don't make an introvert feel like him being an introvert is socially wrong, cos if you do dat he'll withdraw further back into his shell. For me no one helped me to become outspoken or out going and I didn't beat myself up cos I wanted to be out going. And I've met a lot of introverts and still meeting them, all I do is study them and try to pick their interests b4 you know it we're flowing like we've known for ages. I can relate with the bold, bro. The second sentence captures what I was trying to state in a post here some time ago. Some of us can seem like extroverts when in the right company. I could remember when I was in secondary school many years ago. Most of my classmates initially thought I didn't like relating with people, except a few that used to sit close to me. Two to three years later, they were somewhat shocked about the talkative I had become. The same thing happened during my university days. It's not even really about people reaching out first in all cases. There are times you'd try to relate and you would probably get a cold response, if any. That right there can send an introvert back into their shell! |

God did it again today despite the coronavirus palaver. I saw emails from Dan regarding a sale ($299) after turning on my data this morning. I was like... Believe it or not, this was my first sale that's up to $200 all these years. I must say sammchuck1 contributed to this sale, although he might not realize it. Thanks, bro! I looked at and slightly modified the short email sample sammchuck1 shared days back. I then used his method of collecting leads from Google's business directory to get more leads for this domain name - I first did outbounding for it some weeks ago. The only person that requested price after the first outbounding lost interest (if I remember correctly) after I told him the price was $205 - I initially listed at about $199. I just vex hike the price to $299 when no one showed interest. All die na die. I used the new email format to contact the fresh leads I collected yesterday. That's how I woke up to a sale notification this morning. Praise God!

ThisisIkemefuna: Okay. Yes, I believe in grace. Moreso, being more practical; should any adjustments be made to the salesletter in view of the lockdown. Or you advise it to be the same way as before?
It still feels somehow though. Like my conscious judging me. Bro, I had this concern as well and I decided to put off outbounding seeing the situation in the world right now, especially in the U.S. However, I decided to resume outbounding after noticing that some sales were still being made. It appears like that's about to yield some bucks. Whenever I remember, the only thing I include in mails to show concern is "stay safe," somewhere towards the end of my messages. nkeona: it is not must you will close a deal with dan or epik etc You can ask the buyer to pay into your PayPal account then you do the transfer to him or you first transfer the domain to him then he pays you. Romance › Re: Man Dies During Sex With Pregnant Married Lover Inside Container In Lagos by U1(m): 11:11pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
helpishere: Interesting!
German writer Esther Villar, in her book "The Manipulated Man" that caused outrage and hostile criticism from women, explains how women since the earliest times have manipulated men and turned them into their slaves. They have pretended to be the oppressed sex while, in the real sense, they are the oppressors. She explains how a woman manipulates a man skillfully by steps like courtship and finally marriage, hence the saying "a man chases a woman until SHE catches him" In her book she explains how the man is tricked to care for the woman and her offspring all his life. He rolls the stone like Sisyphus and in turn gets rewarded by a few minutes of sexual pleasure. We can, by observing Esther Villars assertions that a man is a slave of his desires and the women uses and has used this for thousands of years as a stick and carrot to keep the man chasing vanity and commit his life to serving her. She goes ahead to explain the rivalry of women, how each woman feels the powerful urge and need to own a male for her alone. Like a slave owner, she detests any move the man would make to offer his services to another woman. She uses all means to keep the man to herself and her offspring alone.
Esther Villar’s sentiments are captured by Nigerian poet, critic and Writer Chinweizu Ibekwe in his book "The anatomy of female power" (AFP) and Will Farrel's "The Predatory Female”. They all push the theory that all societies are matriarchal and not patriarchal as we are pushed and forced to believe. Matriarchy has ruled, not through brawn, but wits and tricks, women feigning weakness to be protected etc. Thus the male becomes the most exploited sex in human history (in wars the man is always ready to die for the woman; he has been trained to do that). Chinweizu calls the ritual of dating and courtship training, like that of a horse. It’s during this time that a woman, having kept the man on a leash by denying him sex and getting him addicted to her by false charms, trains and breaks him to whatever she wants him to become. The marriage celebration becomes a celebration for the woman and her friends where they all congratulate her for having succeeded in getting herself a slave. The man, on his wedding day, waves goodbye to his independence and his coalition of males and commits himself to a Sisyphean life rolling the stone, an act he cannot abandon, having society and the government checking him and always ready to jail, shame or exile him for absconding his duties. Thus the government and society helps the woman in keeping her slave in check.
Chinweizu gives a narration of how women are trained by older matriarchs to tame men. He explains how a man is trained to rely on women by his own mother, how he is shamed for cooking for himself and doing other domestic chores by his own mother who is an agent of the global matriarchal rule. By getting the man to hate domestic work and having this hated by enforced by culture, which warns men against going into the kitchen, doing laundry etc., the mother trains her son for the woman who will captivate him and, when the time comes, his wife takes hold of the man's stomach and, by getting him addicted to her body, she holds him by the two, in bed and in the kitchen. With those two weapons she manipulates the man and turns him into her plaything. In the "Myth of the Male Power", Esther Villar's " A man's right to the other woman" "The polygamous sex" the authors of those books challenge the narrative that men oppress women and, by detailed research across African, Western and Eastern both in ancient and modern societies, the authors unravel the hidden power of the ruthless matriarchal power that rules the world
Presidents, Emperors,Kings are all puppets of the matriarchy forces that rule by pulling the strings from behind the curtain. Wow. This is an interesting exposition, even though I didn't read to the end. |

Promxy94: Did you place the domain name for sale, if yes at what price.
Secondly try to goggle more on the name of the person to check if he has any relationship with the domain.
Last one, is the name trademarked. Of course, I listed the name on the Epik marketplace and it's from there that he sent the message in. I can't remember the specific price right now, but I know it's less than $400. There's nothing trademarked about it. This is a regular city plus keyword name. The "scott" email ID has the domain name in focus attached, although I don't have any custom email attached currently. I even wonder why he had to include it and the Johnny Bell name; couldn't find anything useful about those on Google. |

To my utmost disappointment, I found it was a rubbish message (in siggy). Here's a domain name I never do any outbounding for. Found the person was one Abdel Illah Stambouli. GboyegaD: All I was trying to stress was that the last paragraph of the previous post is condescending in its own way. And also, that life happens to people.
My sincere apology if my post came to you as rude. Happy Easter! Sorry, sire, I have to disagree with the bold sentence if you are referring to the PS. It depends on the individual. For someone like me, it could come across as just a jocular way of excusing oneself. The reason I decided to put that was because someone might just see it and write something like: "N1,000 means a lot to me right now, please send it." I was only trying to avoid that sort of. I agree completely that life happens! No argument at all. You might even notice something along that line in some of my past posts. Happy Easter to you, sir. |
Family › Re: Mommyeaster's Giveaway by U1(m): 4:53pm On Apr 12, 2020 |
GboyegaD: Trying to decipher your post in particular, the last paragraph. I find it absurd when many hide under the faceless forum guise to throw insults.
You don't have to degrade those who are currently going through challenges and come online to ask for help. That they are in their present situation today doesn't mean they will remain there forever. Lastly, I pray life doesn't happen to you in the negative and take you down South. First, I say amen to the prayer. But for the rest of your post, I think they are out of context to me. Perhaps, it's the "N1,000 part" that got you confused. That was in reference to the original post you quoted where someone inferred that it's nothing! Whom did I insult? I am struggling to find where you found anything condescending in my post. I don't think I have ever looked down on people who may be worse off! And by the way, did I mention anywhere that I come from a wealthy family? The PostScript was actually more of telling people who might think that what I wrote was the reason I don't want to help that it wasn't like I have some money I was planning to share! |
