You asked three questions at the end. I will answer the second and third question respectively. * Answer = Telecoms will get you a job much easier because it is obviously very huge and one of the most vibrant and lucrative industries in the country. * Answer = Of course Telecoms will pay you better. Look the truth about renewable energy in Nigeria is That we have basically not started anything even remotely tangible in That sector. There is no road map, awareness or substantial allocation that the government has provided to take off the sector. So for now it's a future potential. ,,, VoltageDivida: |
Meanwhile how sustainable is this project? If this feeding program will fizzle out in a couple weeks, then it doesn't make sense that it was started at all. |
Hmmm. Looking at the people seated in the pics, with not really bad clothes and not looking malnourished, i hope the beneficiaries are truly amongst the less privileged. Because this country is notorious for being unable to stymie corruption in situations like this where a gifts or money is being shared to a large population. Anyway good gesture. |
This Annie sef! What's going on with her? If she was the talky type from day one I would understand - but she was never one to drop controversial utterances. However she seems to be taking a different persona, as this is the second controversial thing she's dropping just few days apart. We all remember her words when Tuface's studio gift to OAU wasn't publicized as expected? She should just take it easy abeg. |
Wow! Husband 27, wife 20. See i have nothing against marrying young. Although nowadays, unlike the era my parents generation were coupling up in the 70s and 80s it's a rarity seeing a married couple who are both so young, but i love it. However the truth is that this world has changed so much, and because of countless factors today, humans are much different from how they used to be in many ways - maturity, tolerance, temperament, morals, rationality, love and empathy. So in today's world if i see a married couple so young, i will be a bit surprised because in my mind i will wonder if they have the maturity to be married so young. Just look at this man strangling his own 8 month old child. What type of anger will push him into such a monstrous episode? It's tragic really. |
But that's what I'm talking about. It's childish. Which enemies in the industry? Is it Wizkid? Because i don't understand, but over the last few years i've been seeing insults thrown about between "so called" fans of Wizkid and Davido. If his aim is to pepper Wizkid, it's a waste of time bc Wizkid has got his own big assets too. Smh Fadafada231: |
This Davido is a full grown man, not a kid na. What's the need of coming online to announce this gift from his dad. Some people must realize that you don't have to chronicle your whole life on Social Media. Smh |
All these type of stories dey make me feel embarrassed for Nigerian masses. And this one i am not even blaming it on the mass of illiterates that would be claiming it's a witch bird. I blame the culture of lack of innovation and dynamism in our government and all their parastatals. Agencies that oversee wildlife should educate the people on all the possible eventualities possible in an encounter with wildlife, and of course teach them to respect and protect wildlife. |
You did not have to point out that you left went to that bar from leaving church. I know church going is a formality for many people today, as they are not living the life of righteousness, but still it sounds really preposterous to tell us that you went straight from church to such a place. Kuriosmynd: |
Ehen i was going somewhere with that question. And here goes my main important question. So if you discover that the foetus in the womb is SS what will you and your wife do? Kill the foetus abi? So you and your wife will just be killing a succession of babies in the womb if the test shows they are SS abi? I'm sure you now realise why I'm pissed off? funkmrflexx: |
You are not making sense. What has your so called pre genetic test got to do with your probability to get SS children? Does the test change your genotype? Smh funkmrflexx: |
Yeah sis, but it seems you used to ask about the genotype on the first date. I think asking on the first date might sound awkward.I usually used to drop the question after two or three dates. The couple by then would be very open and comfortable with each other. folake4u: |
Exactly what i wanted to tell her. You don't subtly ask. There is no trickery or pretense involved. Everyone knows about the dangers involved with pairing with the wrong genotype. All my dates in my entire dating life, i almost always asked about their genotype the first day they visited my apartment. It's not a risk that should be taken. PrimadonnaO: |
Are you trying to be mockingly funny or you really see no wrong in the question? ![]() PrimadonnaO: |
So sorry to know what you've gone through. I have been telling people it not a risk that should even be contemplated. Once you are not of AA genotype, then you must ensure that any partner you are mingling with or could get pregnant with, must be AA. There are countless sorrowful and heartbreaking stories of SS individuals dying tragically. And one of the sad things about the disease is that sometimes families would struggle and manage to nurse the patient to clock late thirties or early forties, only to lose them after forty. It's sad. OCHKESTINE: |
Once you are AS there are no ifs or buts. You must establish that any woman you are planning to procreate with is of AA genotype. If you have seen families with a Sickler, or heard and read stories of what they go through, you will realize that the pairing of two AS partners is a risk that should never even be contemplated. No matter how much you are attracted to each other, once you discover that you there is no AA partner in the pairing, then end any thoughts of getting pregnant immediately. |
The incompetence of any lab that would give someone a wrong genotype result is one that shouldn't go unpunished. In top standard societies where the law courts are well run and credible you can lay claims for damages against them if you are willing to make them pay. JONNYSPUTE: |
I'm struggling to understand how this man could possibly have ascended to the position of DG of NIIA in the past - with this type of clumsy and uneducated remark he made. How can Nigeria acquire nuclear weapons? For what? A country that is in such economic shambles where a significant percentage of the citizens can barely afford three square meals. We are a signatory to the Nuclear NPT. Besides countries of our status can't even dare to try to pursue Nuclear weapons, or we'll be put right back in our place by the world powers. His statement sounds like what a group of newspaper free readers members would utter by the road side. Very uneducated statement. |
To think that in 2022 there are still policemen wearing mufti on our streets while on duty shows how hopeless Nigeria is. And i am surprised the IGP has to order a monitoring unit to ensure compliance. I feel just his office giving the order should be enough the keep his men in check. |
40 billion Naira? What? This country is under a curse i swear. It is only in Nigeria that a major structure or facility that is very important will be neglected for several decades and left to rot. Where they could easily adopt a culture of repair and maintenance work on major national structures say for instance a cycle every five years and hypothetically allocate just a couple hundred million Naira, the leaders are not competent to do so. Instead they will abandon it for several decades and end up spending exponentially more than they would have spent if they were competent at their jobs. Meanwhile anyone that thinks that that project is really worth even up to 30 billion is naive. They have stolen so much money. |
You're a fool. You leave your wife helpless and hopeless, back in Nigeria and the landlord throws her out in the cold with two children and no roof over her head. The idiot that offered help decides to take advantage of her very hopeless Situation by asking for sex and you expect that she will not open her leg? You are crazy. Countless women across all races around the world wouldn't have been able to resist too. Stop insulting Nigerian women. It's not about Nigerian women. You are despicable. Zonefree: |
Correction. Its *Pottage not Porridge. |
It seems you're going out of your way in order to sound intelligent. Stop confusing yourself. Snakes do crawl. 'Slither' is a word used to describe a the movement of a snake based on how it looks - (the twisting movement) Get your facts right before you come out to make such confident statements. Hismasterpiece: |
See your mouth like python. What have you been doing with your youth? My ten year old self would know this can never be a python, and it takes no extra intelligence to figure that out. Mtcheew! |
My elder brother is his chef, and i am cordial with several people in his entourage. I can help facilitate you meeting him one on one. DM me.... MadamVanessa: |
This deployment of soldiers to spots of small scale civil unrest in this country is really unnecessary. Soldiers should stay in their barracks. If the NPF opens a vacancy calling for 1 million applications for recruitment today, they will get even double that number, so hire more officers and train them properly. Soldiers can come out when there is real anarchy across several areas of a state and a country happening at the same time e.g EndSars period. Allowing soldiers to mix and mingle with civilian population the way we do here is not good. |
It sounds comical when i hear a lot of comments from the masses always quick to say that these terrorists are sponsored by politicians. It does not make sense. Any society with economic turmoil, no security, stealing of funds in government etc, will surely suffer the rise of such criminal. These are guys that come together and decide to live a life of killing and pillaging. It can't always be sponsored by politicians. Getting weapons is so easy in Nigeria. There are terrorists across the entire regions today, it's our reality. awoniyi1236: |
I feel physically sick after reading this story. |
I'm very liberal minded with these types of issues surrounding the extent to which females can go to feel confident, accepted and popular in the entertainment industry, so i never really had a problem with the shocking body transformation that Khloe underwent in order to get her confidence (she was very, very flat). But my own outlook is this - If any socialite female must subject herself to the gruelling surgical transformation, then they have to go all out and have a splash in the celebrity circles whereby they are catapulted to the A-list or B-list at worst. But this woman is still an outsider and has not really come through in popularity and success which we all know was is her desire. So was it worth the stress? She is just reduced to the occasional bikini photos showing her derriere. |
How can a politician of Tinubu's stature use this phoney tactic of luring electorate to his camp by throwing cash them? Why is he like this? |
There is almost never a time i read comments on Nairaland that I am not shook at the numerousness of sick and depraved individuals that abound on this forum and by implication the big moral challenge we have in Nigeria. Just look at yourself. You even started well like a reasonable person in the first paragraph, but ended your post with such a rotten and abominable statement. You are a beast. You are not human. iezeiyida: |
I think asking on the first date might sound awkward.

Seriously things are not getting better in this country, the bitter truth is that “all this bandits are been sponsored by rich people and politicians” God will judge them
