You know a country is basically finished when even their judiciary and entire justice system is inept and shallow.
How on earth should internet fraudsters in Nigeria be given 6 month jail terms?
These guys literally destroy lives and leave families in tatters by their criminal activities. They spend their time daily devising ways to steal from people.
Our image abroad has been completely sullied and disgraced making life difficult for honest Nigerian's.
They are even afforded a gift of an option of a fine? Which kind of curse is on our head?

Holier than thou hypocrites like you are one of the real problems we have in Naija. You have all the time to follow the show whether on the TV screen or the Internet, you watch and assimilate the events, but you come out here to pretend you are offended.
We are in a country that our leaders have irreversibly damaged generations of families across every ethnic group by looting and pillaging our wealth sharing it amongst themselves.

Poverty has been imposed on people who were hardworking and creative people, robberies, criminals raping and murdering people, and your problem is Bb Naija in a secular society? You don't know anything.
Meanwhile stop that lie you said that the show was banned in SA and some other African countries. Multichoice figured out that they could make even more money by hosting the Nigerian version, by the indices they were picking up all those years it was open multiple countries. The show has a monstrous following in Nigeria, and we have the population to sustain it.
So it's a case of them spending less to get even much more.
KingAzari:
Can FG Please Ensure That This Season Will Be The Last Of This Show Of Shame? All Other African Countries, Including South Africa Where This Madness Was Conceived, Have For Long Banned This Nonsense Meaningless Toxic And Acidic Show. But Nigeria, As A Dumping Ground For Everything Foreign, Has Continued To Air This Stupidity Every Year Since It Was Dumped On Us.

Be concerned about the state Tax collected in your own state of origin, and how it is used to sustain the state. Leave Lagos and other states to have their authority over collection of domestic Taxes in their own states.
When Lagos needs revenue to develop and rehabilitate infrastructures and sustain the state, they do not go like nosy thieves to ask the Northern region for money or ideas.
My God! What type of shameless leaders do we have in this country? Imagine what this quack governor is saying!
Enugupikin:
There is some sense in what he is saying ,Lagos can't stand alone without the rest of Nigeria. Those corporate headquarters too and the ports and all that stems from the Nigerian people

See this one talking as if Nigerian governor's reluctance to sign death warrants is a problem that started in the recent past.
This has been the trend amongst our governors since time immemorial.
They are proud to hold the office, but are not ready to develop and strengthen the know-how required to be dynamic and progressive leaders.

I have often wondered how it could be so difficult for governors to sign warrants for instance for convicts that committed gruesome murders. A lot of them are taking up space in jail, while adding to prison over population.

These are the type of occurrences you pray not to even occur in your dream, but unfortunately they happen much more often than we hear about.
It is a horrific blow to the child's family. The agony is unthinkable.
And when I see cases like this happen I always connect it back to a country where the leadership have no ideas or vision that can entrench law and order in the land.
People do things here with no regulation. What are the laws for having numerous dogs in one's yard?
What is the stipulated punishment one gets if their dogs maul a human to death?
When we don't have civil laws and regulations put in place to protect us these things happen.

In well governed societies for instance it is required by law that any pet dog or cat must have their rabies shot to prevent transmission to humans, and if somehow your pet bites someone and it is discovered that it was not given the rabies treatment, that is a one way ticket to jail for the owner.

Why on earth would you give away that amount of money if you are sure that you did not knowingly obtain falsified particulars? It just doesn't make sense.
I can understand if you decided to give an amount like 10k to escape those demons, but 40k? Haba! Did they point guns at you? In fact da! Be truthful now, you knowingly falsified your papers abi?
wordychap:
On my way back from work, driving on a highway, I noticed two cars reversing. This is usually a sign of FRSC officers ahead but i couldn't see any so I trottled on.

A short distance ahead I sighted a police van then I came on VIO checking. I was told to pa4k which i did and the checks started.
They checked my tyres then went to my papers. The lad then said my papers look suspicious and went ahead to send my plate number to his office to authenticate my papers.

After a delay of close to an hour, hia affice called and he told me the data they have with them shows my papers ought to have expired in february 2021 but what i had with me is to expire in february 2022.

Arguments ensued and I was told the fine is 50k. I have a lot to do with the car next week and besides children's school's resuming so i couldn't allow them take the cqr to their office.

To cut a long story short, I parted with 40k to the lad and gave him 10k to get me authentic papers by monday next week.

The said 'fame papers' was issued to me at Board of Internal Revenue office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom Stage, where one is to renew his papers. I actually got there and gave a lady i was introduced to the money and she went ahead to make payments- as i assumed, and gave me the papers.

If a government agency can issue fake papers and a sister agency collect penalties what's the hope for Nigeria?

Honestly i don't think i can let this slide i have to pursue this matter, only wish i can vividly recognise the lady that got me the papers at BIR.

This is my worst experience on the road so far and ita happened when i need money. Sad!
Sports / Re: Medvedev Beats Djokovic To Win US Open by ubee(m): 8:26am On Sep 13, 2021
You obviously do not understand what it means or what it takes to call someone a sore loser.
The 'objects' you say he destroys is nothing outside of a tennis racket, and it is always on the court, and most importantly to refute you accusation - it is always done in the middle of his matches and not at the end of losses to opponents.
You can't call him a sore loser when he almost always behaves and congratulates his opponents after a loss as warmly as he did Medvedev.

I am a huge Nadal fan btw. Just to put that out here. I am certain Novak isn't a sore lower.
KosiGee:

I’ve followed his career as a boy. I watched him best my favourite at the time Wilfried Tsonga to lift his first grand slam at Australia in 2008.
His talent and meteoric rise isn’t in doubt but he remains a sore loser. His speeches when given the mic won’t camouflage that.

He is a nice person, funny with an great photo personality but Djokovic remains a bad loser…in my opinion and I hope they continue dishing the fines on him everything he destroys objects in the court or endanger and put others at risk of harm.

You go just dey eject 100 words per minute.
I salute you ma.
RiyadhGoddess:
It is shocking to see Annie call out her husband publicly over his constant visit to his baby mama (Pero) & his 3 kids.
Who ever deceived Annie that Tubaba will stick to her only will never see Heaven's gate!
Pero is Tubaba's first Baby Mama (not girlfriend) and their relationship produced odindin omo meta. In Yoruba land, a woman who has a child for a man is no longer regarded or referred to as Ale - Concubine, She is now a wife. Forget religion and western culture now. She will be referred to as wife once she have a child for the man whether they are married or not. Also such woman is entitled to everything the man owns, she is entitled to attend family meetings and events etc let alone a woman who had a whole 3 children for a man!

Now Tubaba left Pero, went ahead to knack what is the name of this mummy GO again?
Their relationship produced 2 cute boys.
The only reason Annie isn't fighting this babe is because the babe decided to move on by getting married. If she hadn't gotten married, today, Annie would have had to contend with two ladies for life Because there's no way you would stop a man from visiting his children and of course, during visits, they must knack!

Children has a way of bringing parents together whether you like it or not. Pero's express way still belongs to Tubaba as long as another man hasn't started plying that route, she's still haven't gotten over him and the 3 kids will one way or the other bring their parents together and even instigate a fresh relationship.

Annie saw all these red flags but choose to play "I WON HIS HEART", " I WON" to pepper the rest. I be babe and we sabi as he dey go - manipulating tricks.

His children, baby mamas will forever be in his life whether Annie likes it or not. Pero son is the first son whether Annie likes or not.
Though she is his first babe but iyen o matter because na who first born be the koko.

She accepted to be his wife despite all that is on ground which means she choose to swallow whatever comes out of it whether it is sweet or bitter. She choose to bear the burns the moment she choose to say Yes I Do to a polygamous man. She should carry her cross for life. She should just chill! That cry that she should have cried when she had just a baby and then move on But refused to move on but rather decided to accept his ring, that cry isn't necessary now.

As for the in-laws, there's is no way they can be shut out of the children's (their nieces, nephews, grand children) Hausa man go say INA! They will not only love the children but their mothers whether Annie likes it or not.

And when Tubaba dies, Na all the women go wear Anko (the same attire) stand together along with their children to honor their Father.
Also first son will be given the privilege to take some decision during family meetings & events too.
Will nko, na everyone go inherit father's property.

Make Annie go take chill pill jor. What she should be concerned about is the welfare of her kids and her which Tubaba is really trying.

As for you ladies wey go see man wey don born scatter full ground still shook head enter in the name of assurance and love this will be your fate! Be ready to become watch lady, monitoring spirit and you will have to be on BP & anti-envy pills for life.

No amount of Jaruma's kayanmatta will save you.

I come in Peace!

I totally understand and support the idea of ensuring that traffic flows smoothing around the stadium road and it's axis ahead of the arrival of our guest and during exit, but I'm wondering if they could not dispatch transport officials to be stationed on the roads to direct and control and enforce smooth traffic without having to divert the routes entirely.

Hmmm, this is Liberia o! That means if it was one of the football world, powers like Brazil and England they for forbid citizens entirelyfrom even driving car on those roads.

The one that comes to my mind happened in my sec skool back in school.
I was just sitting in one of our labs and got a horrible shock on my knee inside one of the lab cabinet's. This shock was so bad it drew a little blood, leaving a visible wound. Years later when i think about it i get so angry why a school authority is so careless to have an exposed socket uncovered in the lab.

You are mentioning databases?Which databases? You mentioned that we are not harnessing them, and that explains it all.
But i will further say it's more like we don't have the know-how to use them to get investigative results, and that says it all.
Our security outfits are a joke, and a clear example to point out is the handling of the Chidinma/Ataga case.
A suspect has just been arrested, and before a blink of an eye, she's done numerous interviews in front of the press, and government agencies.
Now she's made a mockery the system by denying committing the murder she initially confessed to have done.
Abeg leave our matter jare. I will be at the forefront of praising our system if it's good enough.
We are just a joke.
modsfucker:

It will interest you to know that we habe robust databases to check the exhibit fingerprints against, only that we're not properly harnessing those databases.

Some 70% of Nigerians have their data record in one of these institutions, banks, telecoms operators, NIMC etc...

The crime/forensic documentaries you like to watch, a multitude of us on this forum have watched too. Many probably much more than you have.
But you should not drift into delusions about the capabilities or the know-how of our security forces compared to those in the Western world.
It was funny, and a bit annoying seeing your post.
Which finger print records? For which country? grin smh
modsfucker:
Since they left behind, the car they came with, the Police should go to the untampered scene and take fingerprint records of the occupants, especially the driver, and from there, they'd have a lead to work woth. Simple security routine but no we can't do it, due to insufficient funding.

Different guys go just wan create traffic on NL by asking irrelevant questions of which the answer is staring them in the face.

Hourly payment works in societies were everything is working like a finely oiled machine.
Fiscal accountability, constant power, security, roads, very healthy GDP in a very wealthy and sophisticated economy.

None of those qualities i stated above can be attributed to Nigeria, which ensures we are not even nearly ready for hourly payment.

My reply to your first paragraph - Stop trying to be 'slick'. Just own up that you overly exaggerated with the age. I acknowledged the point you were trying to make.

2nd paragraph - Your post has been reasonably rational, so no need to go the route of classless insults at folks that criticize the dress. We are all complaining about the realities of sick child predators in the world today, but are refusing to apply the adjustment into the lives of our children. They are little yes, but they are out there in the view of sick predators. Shield them! Protect their innocence!
Now look how high that skirt is. Can you allow your 16, 17 to mid twenties girl to wear that? If not then why are you okay with a 3 year old wearing it? Wearing that cloth is sexualising her in today's world. That is our sad reality.

3rd paragraph - your point about the depravity of contemporary men as opposed to our Father's is correct, but don't make it be like a "men back then vs men today" issue. If you switch places between our fathers and today's men, this depravity will still be there. It had been foretold in the scriptures. Its the inevitable.

Paragraph 4: If you can understand and appreciate my previous points on this post, you will understand what changed.
Have a nice day.
Ladycewhy:
Na the 15 years old be your problem or the point? undecided.

Anyone who has a problem seeing the thighs of a 3 years old needs to have their heads checked, that man is no doubt a pedophile. That is my stand.

And it's good that you agree that it's the world we find ourselves, and I hope you agree with me that this generation of men are no way better than their fathers, they are more depraved and monstrous as far as child molestation is concerned.

I need to ask what changed because now people like you have a problem seeing the thighs of a 3 years old while as you claimed having grown up in the 80's children her age where all over the place playing with just paints on their waist. undecided undecided undecided ,you should be in the better position to tell me why you are now uncomfortable seeing the thighs of a 3 years old,I need to know.
