I enter forums hosting people across several nationalities across many countries across the world, and I'll be honest you can't see even close to the level of ignorance, chaos, hate and outright stupidity in those forums like on the threads of Naija.
Even forums of our fellow sub Saharan countries are more edifying and intelligent.

That church - both the auditorium and the premises in itself are probably the largest in the entire country today.
It would be dumb for the church leadership not to have multiple (armed) security men guarding the premises at all times especially nowadays that this country is heavily crime infested.

There is a type of ignorance about our realities that we the masses usually vent on comment threads that gets me worried sometimes like _ if our leaders are dumb at least let of have sense and be different from them.
The OP is blaming bad road and in the same breath blaming brake failure for the accident. Which one should we settle for as the reason she was crushed to death?
If the roads are really that bad, then the vehicles wouldn't gain the momentum that will require the application of the brake in order to avoid accidents.

Our problem on our roads is reckless driving and overspeeding. Shikena! No too much talk. The type of recklessness and diabolical speed levels that drivers on our roads use - from commercial transporters, to private car drivers, to (and tragically) trailer/lorry drivers - is so criminal and unacceptable. Trailer drivers especially are the craziest! How can someone be doing top speeds with such heavy vehicles on roads that have substantial pedestrian and vehicular traffic? It's crazy.
Even today I was in a car, and a loud horn from a trailer with a speed that wouldn't have been below 80 to 85 kmh forced a keke to swerve of my left and enter my front so quickly.
I just wonder if you see the speed the trailer was at, it's very probable that if the keke did not leave the path fast enough it would have been crushed.
The craziness is unbelievable.

I've always had a problem with this practice of our military personnel releasing statements to the public or holding a news conference to address the public.
I think that is a wrong way to go in terms of interacting with the citizenry. We are in a democratic governed society where civilians are in power. Having the military freely dispense messages to the nation in any form shows a wrong signal, and leaves a door open for rogue soldiers to feel overly empowered and have a desire to plan a coup.

This message should have been announced by a minister or any other government official in the Buhari government.

I would have suspected a pack of dogs, but the OP did not report hearing growling sounds of dogs, so I go for two possible scenarios.

1) It was killed in a fight with a cat or several cats
2) It was a rabid cat that finally succumbed to the virus. Rabid cats or dogs when dying could make lots of noise similar to what the OP heard.

Be concerned about the state Tax collected in your own state of origin, and how it is used to sustain the state. Leave Lagos and other states to have their authority over collection of domestic Taxes in their own states.
When Lagos needs revenue to develop and rehabilitate infrastructures and sustain the state, they do not go like nosy thieves to ask the Northern region for money or ideas.

See this one talking as if Nigerian governor's reluctance to sign death warrants is a problem that started in the recent past.
This has been the trend amongst our governors since time immemorial.
They are proud to hold the office, but are not ready to develop and strengthen the know-how required to be dynamic and progressive leaders.

I have often wondered how it could be so difficult for governors to sign warrants for instance for convicts that committed gruesome murders. A lot of them are taking up space in jail, while adding to prison over population.

These are the type of occurrences you pray not to even occur in your dream, but unfortunately they happen much more often than we hear about.
It is a horrific blow to the child's family. The agony is unthinkable.
And when I see cases like this happen I always connect it back to a country where the leadership have no ideas or vision that can entrench law and order in the land.
People do things here with no regulation. What are the laws for having numerous dogs in one's yard?
What is the stipulated punishment one gets if their dogs maul a human to death?
When we don't have civil laws and regulations put in place to protect us these things happen.

In well governed societies for instance it is required by law that any pet dog or cat must have their rabies shot to prevent transmission to humans, and if somehow your pet bites someone and it is discovered that it was not given the rabies treatment, that is a one way ticket to jail for the owner.

So the times when they blocked you in a way that there was no road to move, what did you do? Run over them with your car? Mtcheew!

On my way back from work, driving on a highway, I noticed two cars reversing. This is usually a sign of FRSC officers ahead but i couldn't see any so I trottled on.

A short distance ahead I sighted a police van then I came on VIO checking. I was told to pa4k which i did and the checks started.
They checked my tyres then went to my papers. The lad then said my papers look suspicious and went ahead to send my plate number to his office to authenticate my papers.

After a delay of close to an hour, hia affice called and he told me the data they have with them shows my papers ought to have expired in february 2021 but what i had with me is to expire in february 2022.

Arguments ensued and I was told the fine is 50k. I have a lot to do with the car next week and besides children's school's resuming so i couldn't allow them take the cqr to their office.

To cut a long story short, I parted with 40k to the lad and gave him 10k to get me authentic papers by monday next week.

The said 'fame papers' was issued to me at Board of Internal Revenue office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom Stage, where one is to renew his papers. I actually got there and gave a lady i was introduced to the money and she went ahead to make payments- as i assumed, and gave me the papers.

If a government agency can issue fake papers and a sister agency collect penalties what's the hope for Nigeria?

Honestly i don't think i can let this slide i have to pursue this matter, only wish i can vividly recognise the lady that got me the papers at BIR.

This is my worst experience on the road so far and ita happened when i need money. Sad!

You obviously do not understand what it means or what it takes to call someone a sore loser.
The 'objects' you say he destroys is nothing outside of a tennis racket, and it is always on the court, and most importantly to refute you accusation - it is always done in the middle of his matches and not at the end of losses to opponents.
