Celebrities / Re: “Forgive Me & I Would Serve Your God” — Man Begs Nathaniel Bassey & Mercy Chinwo by ubee(m): 9:10am On Apr 07 |
People like you are the worst! You are trying to hide behind the cloak of pretense in pointing out that the child really looks like Nathaniel, just stopping short if going full blast in claiming that it is Nathaniel's child like this comedian did, so that you cannot be easily identified as a trouble maker making criminal allegations. You are a coward. What has the child looking like Nathaniel got to do with anything? There's a point I have been putting forth to all the defamatory gossip peddlers like you and your ilk who loves engaging in this disrespectful gossip. - If Mercy and Nathaniel were not musical associates who have severally toured together, not a single person across the whole social media and country as a whole would have seen any resemblance anywhere. There would have been no such observation and story. Yeye people. Proudman1: 2 Likes |
Celebrities / Re: Court Summons Five Persons For Defamation Of Mercy Chinwo As Ibeh Apologises by ubee(m): 6:56pm On Apr 04 |
I see that a significant portion of the commentary on this story are people condemning the foolish individuals that criminally maligned the reputations of Mercy Chinwo, and Nathaniel Bassey with the scandalous and defamatory claims. I would have been totally pleased and encouraged about that, if it did not reveal a deep level of hypocrisy and treacherousness amongst us Nigerian youth and citizenry in general. (What do I mean?) If you all go back to the previous headlines posted on Nairaland about this saga, you will see that a high percentage of the comments are in support of the defamatory news by those bloggers. So this means that a lot of the folks posting in support of Mercy Chinwo and Nathaniel on this thread are people that mocked them and peddled the falsehood a matter of days earlier. What changed? They are trying to chameleon themselves away from the shame and condemnation that has befallen the criminal bloggers who started this accusations. For everyone seeing this my post, if you have come out to comment in solidarity of Chinwo and Bassey, after earlier mocking them or peddling the false news, I want to say that you are all cowards beyond imagination. You are slimy, hypocrites and you are snakes. My prayer this moment is that may you pay for your acts one way or the other in this life. May you suffer for your behaviour. Amen. |

Your statement is disjointed and quite confused. To make your statement credible you would have added words such as these - ...... just as an Akwa Ibom man is not a Calabar Man, but some Calabar men can be referred to as Akwa Ibom men because they speak Efik. But more importantly there should be no mention of whether one can a particular language or not here. The crux of the matter is that (as quoted in the interview) he adopted the stereotype used against people from Akwa/Cross region by describing himself as a "Calabar Man". He was wrong and showed great ignorance in using that term. Edit: I have seen a couple of comments with people confirming that the guy is really from Cross River state. This means he was right to describe himself as a Calabar guy. That he chooses to embrace the false stereotype about people from his region is his problem.quote author=We4all post=128720505] A Calabar man is not an Akwa Ibom man, but some Akwa Ibom men can be referred to as Calabar men because they speak efik. uniquetechng: The person he quoted isn't right as you wrongly claim. In fact the person is just embarrassing and dumb for going on a rant and insulting people. while accusing them for an offence they are not guilty of. If you read the article, it is the man himself - "Etim Effiong" - that describes himself as a 'Calabar Man'. So he is foolishly propagating the stereotype often used to collectively refer all people of AkwaIbom and Cross River origin, without recognising that Akwa Ibom people are not Calabar people. It is not anyone on this threads fault if they follow suit and use the term - "Calabar Man" - because they are rightfully working with the information they got from the Horse's mouth. For what it's worth, I'm AkwaIbomite... 1 Like 1 Share |

Our leaders are corrupt, lieing thieves and we the citizens seem to be packed with people that are no different. Imagine a Nairalander under no form of duress, anonymous behind a device just telling lies casually that he killed a rat, and stealing a 2 year old picture from the Internet of webbed feet rat (which is found nowhere in Nigeria) claiming he killed it here in Naija. The typical inept and bland method by which most reporters construct their writeups in this country. After reading their stories, you are left puzzled and with questions, rather than having a clear understanding of what transpired in an incident. Feed lion how? Was he in their enclosure standing up close in their midst while feeding them? I think a normal human being with a functional brain will feed lions from behind a separation between human and beasts, so how did the lion seize him? Why can't this be clarified? 2 Likes 1 Share |
Food / Re: Who Remembers This Ghana Bread From The 80s? by ubee(m): 11:41pm On Feb 17 |
Just quit being an impulsive liar. It's really a very bad trait. And especially this your type that you lied when there was no prompting factor whatsoever. You were not under duress, and you were conveniently behind the cloak of anonymity that the Internet provides. Why did you have to lie? You are full grown man in your forties. Act like one. Ogiame: |
Food / Re: Who Remembers This Ghana Bread From The 80s? by ubee(m): 10:41pm On Feb 17 |
Sometimes I wonder how people like you could so compulsively tell unnecessary lies even with the cover of anonymity that the Internet provides for you. Your first two comments on this thread where you go nostalgic about the Bread while mentioning mainstay brands of the 80's like "Blue Band" and "Limca" clearly prove that you are someone who lived his childhood through the 80's. The Bread was effectively off the streets by even the mid-nineties so there's no way you can try to claim you were born at the back-end of the eighties. In fact I am even doing an overkill with my points to point out your lie. The big point here is that there's no way some who's nostalgic about Limca and BlueBand would not be in their forties today, or at least the end of thirties - which is still quite unlikely. Grow up and stop telling lies for fun. Ogiame: |
Business / Re: Lagos Shuts Mandilas Market by ubee(m): 10:08pm On Feb 17 |
I have often wondered and asked folks during discussions why we are never able to enforce laws - (civil laws in particular) in this country. If you go through the history of this Mandillas issue, you'll definitely see that this is like the millionth time that government has to take action to rid the walkways and streets of the illegal structures. After a month or so (and even possibly few weeks) the illegal trading and structures will return. We are not a serious people in Nigeria |

Health / Re: Syringe-manufacturing Company Packs Up, Cites Challenging Business Situation by ubee(m): 6:58pm On Jan 03 |
Mumu people. The jamboree and wild celebrations that ushered in the company made me ashamed of my state government and Nigerian leaders in general. Syringe production anywhere in the world, no matter the quality, is a low-to-moderate profit venture, so it baffled me why there was so much noise about the project, when it was only going to employ a tiny fraction of citizens, and it was not going to provide much revenue to the state. But typically with Nigerian leaders across all levels, the state government cannot manage a very uncomplicated factory that produces Syringe. Useless people. 1 Like |
Car Talk / Re: Opinions Needed: My Mechanic Said I Should Use Only Water First In New Radiator. by ubee(m): 7:54pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
The info I expected you to put down is "if your car is the type designed for coolant-only in the radiator. But whether that's the case or not, I want to give you a very important advice. *Always heed to the instructions from a source that your common sense tells you is more credible than the rest. I bought a v6 Honda engine years back which is designed for coolant-only radiator. In the following months and years I met mechanics telling me that it's okay to use only water in the radiator. Imagine the nonsense advice! In the car manual, the owner is warned to use only 100% anti-freeze coolant, then some ignorant mechanics are looking for ways to destroy your peace and finances. When you get a device or automobile, follow the instructions on the user manual 2 Likes |

Imagine such a dumb reply you've posted to defend your crass and utterly foolish post. And to think that you're a full grown adult who's had an education, it's shameful the type of twisted youth (like you) that abound in Naija today. A boy got missing inside the house at the same time his father's phone got missing, and in your thoughts that should be enough for the child to be seen as a suspect who probably has stolen the phone? Why are you not moved by families in agony and grief over their missing person? May you remain cursed. You are just too evil. If this was female you'll say she went over to a man's house for sex. Food / Re: This Wicked Snake That's Killing My Christmas Chicken Was Finally Caught by ubee(m): 12:28pm On Dec 02, 2023 |
Go and find out what truly has killed your chickens. It's definitely not this snake. The extent to which a lot of Nigerians are ignorant and uninformed about a lot of life facts and principles surprises me. That snake is sooooo small I find it difficult to call it a juvenile. It's still in It's not completely out of It's baby stage. It cannot swallow an egg (if your chickens lay eggs), it obviously cannot swallow a chicken, so what's it doing in the chicken coop? Even an adult viper would avoid chickens because they know they would be in danger of being pecked to death. Go investigate if your chickens are sick, maybe from the feed you give them, or any of the avian diseases. |

That rat is called a 'pouched rat'. It can be seen in the entirety of the South of the country. I'm not sure if it's seen in the middle belt and North. It's brown colour is noticeably lighter than that of the common rat we have in the country. The lower part of it's tail is white and scaled. 1 Like |
