Da Praescriptione haereticorum, 38
"..........Corruption of the Scriptures and of their interpretation is to be expected wherever difference in doctrine is discovered. Those who proposed to teach differently were of necessity driven to tamper with the literature of doctrine, for they could not have taught differently had they not possessed different sources of teaching….."
For good measure here is Dionysius, Bishop of Corinth.
".........When my fellow-Christians invited me to write letters to them I did so. These the devil’s apostles have filled with tares, taking away some things and adding others. For them the woe is reserved. Small wonder then if some have dared to tamper even with the word of the Lord himself, when they have conspired to mutilate my own humble efforts......"[\QUOTE] THEY SEEMS TO BE BLAMING HERETICS NOT PROVIDING PROOF THAT ALL IS UNRELIABLE |

That some people choose to gloat over the situation and attribute the current crisis as to because Buhari won at the presidential polls is the highest unit of pseudo intelligence. The current govt will strive to manage this trying times, and if it does it well, which i believe it will, the next 6-9 months, we will gradually get out of the quagmire.
The previous govt had all the opportunity to made a whole lot of difference in an oil boom, but it flunked, it is now in the past. The 2016 budget , the first of this new govt is on its way, the ministers are less than 30 days, but they are showing quite promising signs.

No offense taken. Try studying the Bible first yourself, But out of all the so-called churches who claim to be `Christian` do do not follow the Bible as they should. For instance, Christ wasnt even born the 25th of December. At that time of the year its very cold and the Jewish calender Chislev, isnt a time shepherds tend to their flock.
Make research. The truth is out there and its to those who adhere strictly to Bible Principles.

ok, pastoraio today i am persuaded to pinch your thoughts a little. xtianity provides an ideal that most times we fail to live up to due to human weakness and stupidity. the ideal on which the church was built is similar to what u describe of a communion. a close nit family where there is no need for pretense, a path for true spiritual growth. d church is an assembly of those called who share the 'life' of Christ amid falls and rising(dis doesnt scratch d surface bt it will do). do we lose d title "christian" each time we fall short of dis ideal. sometimes we turn the communion into association other times we mix them all up. does this make everything useless and the community unnecessary? i wonder if it is possible to see a communion where everyone lives up to the ideal and human weakness don't come in. does the church cease when the ideal isn't followed by all?
i'm not sure my thoughts come out clearly so i'll let u respond. |

PastorAIO:

Don't you know that God only speaks english and the gospel is only for english speaking peoples. That is why he went to great lengths to make sure that the only true and proper version of the bible is the King James Version so that english speaking people can have the true and proper bible but the french, the spanish, the germans and all other nations that didn't have a King James to translate the bible for them, ... well, they'll just have to go to hell.
ps. The 'James' matter is even more twisted than that. James is the english version of the Jewish Jacob. or more precisely Ya'aqov.
Translated in Italian to Iago and in spanish it is translated as Diego. In portuguese it is Tiago.
James, Iago, Jacub, Diego, Tiago which one is the true one that the brother of Yehushah would properly answer to.
When you see a Jew called Joshua that's your Jesus right there.
And an eastern european called Ivan. Well that's John. Or even Euan. or Ewan. |

Scholar8200: Your sample was a few out of over 700 million and will your conclusion be valid ?? my dear i have also heard ur friends give judgement base on hearsay, atleast my generalisation is based on experience. Adding d fact that there are no statistics for d topic in question, personal xperience seems like a good bet. While I am not a member of RCCG, I will reconsider the Op's claim when Pastor Adeboye bids his members beseech HID's intercession for them! What he simply did was to express an opinion based on his knowledge of the life she lived and where he believes she will end up. However, that's no proof that he is right! Besides, I dont hear him calling her a saint (in the catholic way) dat is exactly what it means to declear sum1 a saint! It simply mean looking at d persons life and death and sayin he is in heaven. Dat is what adeboye did. Jesus assured the thief on the cross of paradise, was that canonization? yeah, that seem to b d first recorded xtian canonization. Paul stated that he was sure of a crown just before being decapitated, was that self canonization? quote d passage, dat was his hope based on faith. Enoch and Elijah were translated sans seeing death and any one in those times would be sure that they were not in hell, what do you say?
If the below defines Catholic canonization correctly, then I would say it has nothing to do with PAstor Adeboye's statement but rather another addition to the Bible by the RCC because saints are made so on earth (The epistles of the apostles were addressed to saints - building block of the Church) while still alive not a recognition (like a title) given after death!
Canonization (in American English and Oxford spelling) or canonisation (in British English) is the act by which the Orthodox, Oriental Orthodoxy, Roman Catholic, or Anglican Church declares that a person who has died was a saint, upon which declaration the person is included in the canon, or list, of recognized saints. Originally, people were recognized as saints without any formal process. Later, different processes, such as those used today in the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches, were developed. Wikipedia as u quote infer, canonisation was actually a bishops stating clearly dat mr 'a' lived a good xtian life, died in Gods grace and is now in heaven! Sumtin oyedopo just did. |

Certainly believing a departed soul is in heaven is poles apart from the doctrine of worshipping saints aka necromancy and more interestingly u protestants are copying them one after d other, adeboye has already started declearing his own saint. |
