For me I don't consider Atheism to be a non-religion because in my person study. I have come to noticed that Atheism steals a lot of it's concept from Buddhism which is in itself is an "Atheist" kind of religion. At a certain time in history even the Roman pagan worshippers thought that Christians were Atheists because they disbelieved in the Roman pagan gods.

I personally see Atheism as the rollercoaster clutch for individuals who find no meaning to their life and hence take out their frustration on God most especially the Christian God and that is the God that they have the most problem with because Satan knows the other gods of other religions and Atheism are in same bed. You will see an Atheist hating on Jesus for instance despite his perfect life on Earth but would be scared to critic the embarrassing life of Muhammad. An Atheist on a good day will be scared to critic the Muslim god because they know what will be done to them but they know if they sort of in a way take out the Christian God then Satan will have the World to himself. The Bible and the Christian worldview remains the subject of critic for thousand of years and no christian is vexed about that as it has lead to more archeological findings and more evidences for the Christian faith system Atheists are just clowns who most of the time borrow the love messages and concepts of Christ without wanting to credit the source.

Atheism basically on its own has no answer to serious answers for life and this is a problem that goes back to even Atheists of antiquity. They were divided on what to answer. You see these clowns for instance arguing that there is no God while still basing the entirety of their argument on the problem of evil. Now, simple logic should tell these clowns that if there's no God then there is no evil in this world as we know it.

You see them trying to bash the Church for the mistakes of the Catholic Church like the Inquisition, etc(I have a problem with the Catholic Church head who are always making silly mistakes that I have come to consider the Vatican Head as the trilogy of the antichrist system alongside Islam, Atheism, Judaism as based on the Rabbinic tradition and not even on the Torah and other Unitarians like the Arian Heretics JW, Mormon, etcetera). I have no qualms against the average Catholic individual but the Vatican Head is something else. You can even see with the recent endorsement of same sex relationship by the Catholic Pope and If in years to come. Things change then you will see same Vatican Head apologizing again for the mistakes they made. They follow their traditions than the Word of God:/JESUS) so you see an ignorant Atheist bashing the Catholic Church say for the Inquisition when right in his backyard. Stalin and Mao, two Atheists killed more lives than all the deaths by the Catholic inquisition combined. Those two Atheists killed more than 100 million of their own people. Just imagine what just only two Atheists did. Now imagine when more of them get into these positions. Do we talk of Genghis Khan who was another ruthless Atheist because the bulk of Atheists come from Asia and Europe.

I believe that the quote above is the passage you mean. I think it is obvious from there that Paul was speaking of the two covenants, the one at Sinai and the one at the Cross.

For what it is worth, what Paul is teaching there is that the Law was given through Moses to teach the Jews (and the whole world by extension) that we are sinful people in need of a special intervention by God in order to escape going to Hell. That is what "the law is a schoolmaster whose job is to bring us to Christ" means.

So, that Jerusalem that Paul was speaking of was the regime of law that the Pharisees and the Scribes were perpetuating at that time. It offered no salvation, only guilt. That wasn't the Jerusalem of God's own offering. The Law was not supposed to be a stop. It was supposed to be a guide to salvation.

The Jerusalem that is "above" is the salvation that we all receive by faith in Jesus Christ. When we accept our sinfulness and our own inability to ever save ourselves, then we become able to accept the Gospel and be saved. When we do accept it, we become like Isaac, children of Abraham. That is not a different Israel. That is the true Israel. Those Pharisees, scribes, and other Jews who refused to believe were the ones who were false Israelites. Faith is what makes anyone a true Jew.

6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. So, no two "Israels," just one. All who believe the Gospel are part of Israel. All who don't are not.

In conclusion then, Israel is the Church and the Church is Israel, just as I said before.

i have no problem with the church as Israel...for me that is basic...but I have read interpretations here that allows the church to the Israel when it seems suitable and immediately rejects it when people start to draw lines in the sand about old and new covenants and how Israel ended in the old and has no relationship to the church of the new
