daygee12:
Ask ur Father when u get to Anambra, ire oooo
Answer the question. Lagos wasn't even part of the new NIGERIA. It was founded by the Binis.

Lagos was later merged.

Furthermore, the issue of SUG... Is there a rule that a non Yoruba can't be an SUG president? If you're non of Igbo, then play your game very well. All the Igbos in Lagos that won political seats all played their game so well. I wasn't a Yoruba guy, but contested again one in my days in school and won. What if I didn't contest, will I be hand-picked? Leadership is not given...

In addition, Charlie boy having a bus stop in Lagos meaning he paid his dues. He excelled in his trade and made impact to warrant every accolades he got. If you go round all the Eastern street, you might still see Yoruba names popping up due to the dues those people paid in active service to their respective communities. An Igbo takes his home with him wherever he his. He built, establishes there. Apart of the Igbos, how many develope the societies they are when they're not in their own land?

Funny enough, people will think I'm an Igbo person, no, I'm not. But wherever I go, I see the Igbos, I see the development they bring to the community of their stay.

For me,the Igbos are the most patriotic. They've also not played politics of region like others do for almost 24yrs of NIGERIA unwavering democracy. They've never be Vice President, They've never be President. The two Apex position in the country, yet on paper, they're part of the Igbo major tribe and ethnicity. They've always supported the aspirations of others and other tribes from OBJ, through Yar'adua to GEJ and even Atiku, they've supported the Nigerian project

For equity sake, the Igbo man should be allowed to rule if we're truly one and not one selfish man saying it is his turn when your own region have been President and even Vice. It's total wickedness

Now back to the objection of Area Fada... He he out of point with his observations? The answer is no. Yorubas exist in every part of the country, doing their own thing, infact, in Warri and Port, their are places you think it's owned by the yorubas. I once worked in a company, if you're not Yoruba, you might not get a job there in PH. So, if you kill another tribe in your land, what about your tribe in their land or other lands? We see and hear this countless times, and nothing has been done. The Obi of Lagos sometime ago made the callous statement against an ethnic group, nothing was done. Just of recent, the wife of the APC presidential candidate said same thing, nothing was done. So, how many other tribes and states have threatened the yorubas living in their land every election year? How many?

Inconclusively, nobody has the Monopoly of voilence. Leaders should be careful of what they say in this dire time of our existence. The pressure and tension are high. Let's be careful with our utterances

Let's let love flows and rules

A great country is possible
God bless Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Old Naira Notes: FG Will Obey Supreme Court’s Judgment — Malami by udeh3(m): 3:58am On Feb 10, 2023
N3TRAL:
Only beer palour, illiterate, and unlearned analysts even assumed that the F.G will not honour the interlocutory decision of the Supreme Court.

When the Supreme Court of Nigeria makes a decision, the only authority that can upturn it is "God in heaven". There are courts and there is the SUPREME COURT. The decision of the Supreme Court is final as in

F
I
N
A
L

Powerful figures in democracies across the world influence the compositions of the Supreme Court to get their way because they know that the decision of the Supreme Court is final whether in America or anywhere.

The first thing Buhari did as a prelude to 2019 polls was to remove the CJN whom he couldn't trust. Last year, a "Yoruba Muslim" grin CJN was appointed.

Una think say the Presidential elections of Africa's most populous country na to insult una papa and mama for social media?
Nobody talked about FG, what is in the contention is CBN. CBN can still go on with their policies if they wanted to cos they're not even part of the suit in the first place. Another school of thought is, placing them in the suit will also ridicule the Supreme Court cos the CBN is an entity on it's own acting under an existing law
PoliticsRe: Override Supreme Court’s judgment, invoke Executive Order — CSOs tell Buhari by udeh3(m): 3:47am On Feb 10, 2023
FBS:
So this whole exercise and policy is/was to prevent politicians from buying votes?

I rest my case.
The CBN even with any court order won't pump still money into the economy for the now. They withdrawn almost all the old notes, say, 80%. Pumping of the money who have been done systematically.

The CBN didn't also stop the deadline of old cash return. The deadline was for the returning of the old cash to commercial banks. But if you can't return any money to the commercial bank before 10th, then you can always return it to any of their State offices. The Central Bank will always collect the old notes from you and perhaps give you the new note equivalent.

So, as usual, the banks is sabotaging the efforts via politicians. Even you check, majority of politicians crying fouls here are the ruling party

Beside, Supreme Court can't order CBN. It's an entity operating under a law. They can only do that when they breach any law, reason they're not part of the suit. So, the issue is actually between the governors and the presidency. Suing the CBN for the Naira policy is also like suing a police man reporting to the station in carrying out his required duties. The CBN actually gave 100days to the commercial banks. Every other issues here is pure politics

You better go and change your old notes. I've been saying this since yesterday that the Supreme Court has no right against the CBN policies. The order is meant for the FG and not CBN, who's not even a party to the suit

Is money not flowing? Throughout this week, I've not bought airtime via paper but bank transfer. Buying fuel, POS, for groceries, enter the mall and use your 🏧.

The little cash at hand you need for this few period is also available in the #100 notes which isn't affected by the policies. I have close to #1000 on me now and all are #50 and #100

What about the money the CBN gave banks and they sold it out, diverted some and the politicians hijacked the others. Sterling bank in Abuja kept and refuse to give out over #200m given to them. Is that CBN's fault too

See, CSOs are supposed to be on the side of the people and the only people that are suffering right now are the same people they love to claim as their driving force for change and good governance so why are they now not in ending the sufferings the general public is going through.?

I'm I missing something here?

Even if your intentions are genuine and you'd love to deal with election riggers, but the election riggers are not suffering, they are not the average Nigerians shouting and protesting, lining up and fighting in bank halls, lining up for endless hours in front of ATMs?

I'd understand if their are enough new notes out their and the ATMs are dispensing the new notes, but such is not the case so why exactly do you want Nigerians to keep suffering all because of politics?

Shouldn't your fight be against the CBN that got us into this mess to start with? Is it the CBN's fault this this policy is poorly and incompetently managed?

Even the CBN's deadly remains unsustainable and unrealistic, it just can not be done at the moment so isn't it prudent to adjust and prevent mass sufferings and economic collapse?

This is a sad refection of the typical fraudulent Nigerian mentality, they are out there shouting and wailing that Nigerians are suffering because of the new note, they are showing us pictures and videos of disasters in banking halls, bit the same Nigerians want their suffering to continue because in their misguided mind, they are hurting the politicians when in fact the politicians have access to the new notes that they don't have.

Well, they CSO crowd are part of our political system and a reelection of our cash and carry fake patriotism.
Please, can you State two reasons why you said the CBN deadline is unrealistic?

This is just the way to go.

The CBN never acted against the law. This policy is in accordance to the establishment of CBN. Over 90days were given to banks to sort themselves

ASUU were on strike for over 8months, medical practitioners trooping out of the country on daily basis, fuel scarcity of over 6months, killings with impunity everyday, yet, no governor took it to Supreme Court. Our problem is now Naira notes abi? Jokers

The Supreme Court ruling can only stand when there's a breach in the Constitution as it relates to the Cash redesign policy, otherwise, the ruling is arrogant and disrespectful to the CBN, president and the citizenry

Nigerains are just the biggest losers here. Slaves that loves their chains.

Well, not most of Yoruba hate Igbo. The well educated Yorubas (ability to speak and write good in English language does not mean that one is well educated) don't hate Igbo.
After all, Tinubu knows that rotation of the presidency between the north and the south has been it since 1999, and that it's the turn of the Igbo to present a president for Nigeria. Yet Tinubu demonstrates hatefilled against the Igbo as he declared "it's my turn" to become president. Tinubu is one of the few badly educated Yoruba who speak and write good in English language.
Thank you for this submission. Well, it's always going to be the turn of the south again in the future, and the yorubas keeping quiet now, thinking their selfish brother is doing the right thing will remember history, especially when the South East and South South team up... I'm from Delta, only negligible few supports the PDP candidate, because we know it's the turn of the South and this time around, an easterner who happens to be the best amongst all. Ordinarily, because the VP for the PDP is my governor, I would've supported him, but he's selfish and wicked to even agree to the position of the VP after an agreement by the Southern governors.

This phase will be over very soon...
