What is he passing through, yet, he saved 2m. He was there and started receiving 750k monthly for 6months now. Many of us wished we had this kind of opportunities

Well, I wish him success in his future endeavors

Can 2M be enough for a single guy to rent a house and living comfortably in Lagos?

I'm currently living with my parents and I'll be 22 by June.. I plan on moving out of their house by the end of this year or latest, early next year (so help me my creator)...

But I'd like to know or have a rough Idea of how much I should budget to live comfortably... I've place my budget at 2M for rent and other amenities or accessories. I'll be schooling at LASU and I know the price for a decent room and parlour self con is around that kind 200-250k....so guys, please help me out.
So, at 22, you're itching to leave your parents house to rent your own apartment on a 2M budget. Hmmmm... Things dey happen Sha

Well, I left home at 18, just because I had to go hustle for my family. I envy people will stay in their parent's house to grow and develop in their sphere of influence.

Fave the pressure, overcome it, then leave honorably. Don't start your life on a high budget, e get y!

The street isn't the way you know, I've been in it over 12yrs now.
Like I said, I dey envy dis of una wen stay under the roof and guidance of your parents, to come cap am, Dem pay your fees still u finish school. Chaiii!

Why are the ruling party against electronic transmission of results and now, they're against those going to court to seek redress

Other parties have protested, except for LP and the Obidient. Now, they're scared while they're silent and patiently waiting and watching as the legal battles begins

A state generating the highest IGR, over N700b in Nigeria, owing over N1tr as debt, has one of the least roads in Nigeria. No domestic airport, no good stadiums. The most populated state in Nigeria with massive deficit in the numbers of general hospitals and schools

We're yet to see what Sanwolu has done for almost 4yrs now. He couldn't even campaign with any of his achievements cos there's none

Lagos was FCT since 1914 to 1991. But BAT built it and has the masterplan

You are right.

But let us be Frank to ourselves, since the beginning of the world, the number one reason women marry men is for provision and defense, every other reason is secondary to them.

So don't be deceived oh, behind all those lovey dovey from your sweetheart, know it that if she doesn't see prospect of a good life in you at the moment or in the future, she will never accept to be with you.

Women are definite with their goals before settling down, except those that got unwanted pregnancy and ended up being married cos of pregnancy.

Ordinarily, every women considers her present and future well being before accepting to marry a man.

What happens in Nigeria is that most ladies marry guys who aren't financially buoyant with the great hope that he would become rich someday and she would then enjoy all his wealth alone as the one that stood with him from his struggling days. When you analyze this, you will realize that its still boils down to the fact that ladies marry men mostly for provision and prospect of a good life.

Some Nigerian ladies go as far as going spiritual to enquire about the future of that their so called broke boyfriend before they agree to marry him, so don't even think that some ladies marry broke guys because they are angels, na so.

In all these, there are exceptions who marry for other reasons like sexual needs, and it mostly applies to ladies who have met their financial needs and just looking for a man to meet their sexual and emotional needs, and they usually come as older women.

Some also marry for procreation.
As a young guy trying in my field of endeavor, you think I need a lady who won't inspire me? You think I need a lady whom I can't rely on at some point?

Relationship is companionship... When it comes to marriage, most men are real. No man in his right senses marries a liability

Ladies who have visions and are go getter are easier to deal with, especially when there's love unlike a lady who depends on you for everything.

Most ladies today are looking for something in a man they can't give
Iron sharpens iron.

My brother, the op have a good point, let single men learn from her write up instead of getting worked up.

There is a difference between our forefathers and father's time and our present time.

During our forefathers' or father's time, the population of the world was very small, in fact sizable and opportunities were enough for willing men ready to exploit them unlike now that overpopulation is fast depleting available opportunities and making things highly competitive.

Some decades ago, Europe had so many opportunities such that once you find your way and enter Europe, your life will become better but the case is different today.

US DV lottery existed for Nigerians and many countries some years back which helped a lot of Nigerian families to escape generational poverty, is that opportunity available today again?

There were several scholarships for intelligent students in Nigeria back then, today such scholarships are highly competitive.

In our forefathers' time, women were mostly housewives and helped their husbands in the farm, but today we have even more educated and qualified women than men who have taken up jobs that men once had exclusively.

Where do I even start and stop?

So don't expect the dynamics of marriage to remain the same brother, marriage must change, husbands and wives must change as life and situation changes too. We are humans born to adapt to changes in order to survive
Please, go read the ops point of view again... You are equally aligning with my point

For every action, there must be a proportional reason.

Now ask, as a lady, why do I want a relationship? Is the relationship because I want a man who will feed and take care of me?

If your problem is money, then, you don't need a man. All you need as a lady is job

The lady said, she can never marry a guy who's trying to make it or a struggling guy. She can only date guys that can take care of her needs.
So, you think the made guys don't have histories? They don't have ladies that gave them values? So, you'll just come from nowhere, without significance, and start dating and eventually, marriage. The ops must have watched too much Nollywood movies about luck

To every action, there's a corresponding equal and opposite reaction

You're missing the point and that is why a lot of you men have become so complacent and have refused to rise up to your duties as a man; expecting what a woman will bring to the table to feed you.

Go back to ancient landmarks our forefathers set.
What happened to our forefathers? We had Dorcas in the Bible, we had Abigail... There was a woman who stood and led war...

You speak out of your experience and ignorance... You clearly don't understand when the Bible talks about "HELP MEET". Please, check the meaning of help meet as it relates to a lady in a relationship. You're actually looking for a helper and not a companion

Then back to Nigeria, we had Margaret Ekpo, we had Dora, the NAFDAC DG, today, we're talking about Okonji Iweaka. A woman has been a president in Africa country, many of them are prime ministers all over the continent

You talk about the olden days where women are limited and not given equal opportunities, but today, women attends same school, same courses, even gets lucrative jobs more than the men, yet, you want the man to be responsible for all your needs while doing nothing

Let me say, you're confused, lazy and timid. I'm a guy of vision, so, when I see a woman of vision, I know one. I'm still single, but in a relationship, my girl is a BM already at age 26.... We compliment each other

Peace

caution001:
Dear nairalanders,
Help me, I'm actually seeking advice for someone because the person is at a point she has allowed her past to dictate the recent trouble she brought upon herself. Anyway the person is my sister. She had several abortions years back. In year 2020, she is in her early 30s when she met a guy and they both agreed to do introduction, of which they did but the guy is not aware of her past. But it was quite unfortunate to discover the both of them has AS genotype at the time they were preparing for their traditional marriage and the parents of the bride disagreed, my parents. Later, the groom parents also disagreed considering the implications of two AS marrying each other. I personally pleaded with my sister that she should let the guy go but she wouldn't listen. Fast forward to this year. She told me she is pregnant for the same guy they are both incompatible as regards to the genotype. My parents are not yet aware but if they know they will disown her with immediate effect.
What can she do please? Because she's seeking my opinion but I personally don't know what she can do because I have warned her several times.

Please advice.
How many months pregnancy? They can actually do a test to know the genotype of the child, though, very expensive and risky. Risky in the sense, it can affect the child. If the child is SS, I'm afraid, they can just flush the child

I'm AS and I've passed through this situation before. Never allow emotions to overtake you in choosing a life partner. In the face of reality, emotions will disappear.

Best advice, is for them to see a medical practitioner

They cannot even take care of some of the basics - the really low hanging fruit.

Traffic management is one area where an immediate impact could have been made - and sustained without too much effort. Instead of getting to work, Sanwo olu went to sleep and handed over the roads to NURTW goons. undecided

Sanwo olu deserves to lose. But Nigerians/Lagosians have notoriously short memories and they usually vote against their interests. Perhaps Lagosians still don't believe they have suffered enough - and they still want to continue wasting away their lives in endless traffic on bad roads.

Saturday isn't long now.
God bless you. I love involving with guys speaking from a well informed mind. See, by all standards, Sanwolu has failed. How Ambode reduced the traffic of Lagos is magical and needs to be studied. Funny enough, he didn't even borrow a dime to execute his project all through the four(4) years as a governor. Meaning, the over #1tr foreign debt of Lagos State as we speak was borrowed by two(2) ex governors and a sitting governor. Yet, Ambode was booted out

If we vote another party and they fail within four(4) years, we change them, with this, we will get there gradually, and not voting along tribal, religious and emotional sentiments
