Toyota with lexus can take any form of abuse,so far e no short engine oil. Try to get scanner and scan the car,or was the engine ringed. If the engine was rigned abeg use the ac,but no pass 2000rpm. Be prepared to but new tokks engine. However while going to ladipo,mushin,have it at the back of your mind that toks engine na rebuilt naija used for ladipor. I have a laptop that after I did an update the laptop refuses to boot. this update was from Lenovo vantage and it include bios update.

Nothing comes up on the screen, fan spins, keyboard shows light but the screen is black

Sometimes if I press any F keys it will show entering boot mode for like on second and very big and disappears and the screen remains black.

If I force shot down I on it again. Fans spin key board show light and the power button shows light and off and on again. It will repeat this for so many times before it finally stays with only fan spinning, keyboard light and the power button light.

What I have done
I have punch the reset button
I have remove ram and change ram
I have remove the bios battery
I stayed for hours removing all this before inserting it back but all with no success.

I was thinking is a Bios or UEFI problem

The laptop is
Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2
32 Gig ram, 1 Terabyte SSD

Please anybody that have faced this issue can be of help too. I will appreciate any help. Thank you

Fault : 225% laptop charging fault.

A Lenovo motherboard with part number la-d562p was brought in for repair.

The engr said he tried more than 3 new batteries but it keep showing 225% at the charging icon,one showed 100% but immediately he removed the charger the laptop went off.

Charging occurs between these 3 things, the battery,the charging ic and the SIO.

When battery is not fully charged,the SIO communicate with the charging ic to keep charging, cut off charging when it is fully charged, identify which power source you're using, either the battery or charger etc.

Now there are components between these lines,if faulty Will send a false signal to the sio chip and fault like 225% in some cases 100% even after trying several batteries will occur.
The solution is simple,I replaced the two components on that line and mobo works fine.

Laptop charge fine without giving the 225% error.

Had a similar case yesterday,the technician said the battery indicator is showing 225% and not charging, when replaced with another battery it shows 100% and laptop goes off immediately the charger is removed, which means it doesn't hold charge.

I replaced the two smdata/smclk resistor and the battery shows it normal remaining percentage.
Unfortunately it didn't charge , battery start to drain even when the charger is connected.

Since it's a typical fault,I didn't bother to check other requirements,the mobo was brought back,I check charging ic requirements, check charger and battery CLR for communication and it was fine.

Check the smdata/smclk voltage on the battery terminal and noticed they were fluctuating, check ok charging ic and noticed the same thing.

Replaced charging ic, and it became stable.

Mobo now charge perfectly.
