I'm from Uyo,village is Afaha Oku. Born and brought up in lagos. Late mum used to take me home bak wen I was small but d gap later com much o,lol. Last was 1989,next was 2002,then fastforward to 2011 when we went to bury my late mum,and then dis year (Feb and Aug,I try jare,lol)
I hope to be goin frequently o,cos dey hav termed us lagos pple,infact my mum's relative called my late mum"sister lagos"hahaha. Its jus d distance and and wit dis silly drivers on d road now. Except by His grace,I'm bouyant,I can be flying and in one hour I can be in uyo.

I've never been d loud type(trust me I hav a degree in shyness) so I doubt I'll be a party to all dos loud and flamboyant type. Infact jus com see Mr Thomas AKA my father and he'll giv u list,u buy give am,carry me dey go,lol! But seriosly I can,and as for d wedding gwon,one can stil wear a nice wedding gown to a court wedding abi and not make too much noise afterwards?and so to ur question,my answer is YES I can!

Most people will say you forming hard to get and that you will soon hit menopause but when you say ok o,lemme give it a trial,shei age is nothing but a number,you discover they are nothing to write home about,and again of cos you can't agree to every Tom Dick and Harry.

Early last year (2014) at 32, I attempted to date a guy 5 years younger than me - first time ever I would attempt such a feat. The experience was for the most part an unpleasant & annoying one.

Daniel ( not his real name) wanted sex practically all the time and he had this obnoxious habit of calling incessantly at all hours of the day - common like who does that?

He would call at 5 am on his way to work - when I was either having my quiet time with Heaven, working out or just trying to wrap my mind and head around a new day. He would call during working hours when I was seriously pressured with tasks, and call again in the evenings.

This was someone I informed early on, that if you call me twice and I don't answer, pls send a text message and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible. Did he listen - no he didn't he just wore me out with calls. I felt severely harassed at the frequency of his calls and I am not exaggerating about the calls or this entire story.

Our phone conversations were often like this:

Me: Hi how was your day and what's happening with you.
Daniel: I am feeling Hot when was the last time you had sex.
Me: Can't we have a meaningful conversation without you bringing up sex?
Daniel: Ok, fine my day was ...... so what are you wearing now?

Exhausting conversation right? As if that wasn't bad enough the dude would ask me to come see him at his office after working hours during the week when you are trying to beat traffic and get home. Seeing him on a Friday would have been cool cos there's no work on Saturday but he never thought that way.

These are just a few incidents, the dude was too immature & unreasonable in how he conducted himself. I mentally cringe when I recall things and I say to myself - girl what the hell were you thinking?

I am extremely wary of men younger than me, Daniel put a sour taste in my mouth about that. That whole affair with him didn't last more than 4 months but I still cringe. I wasn't dating him for marriage's sake, I was just being spontaneous, trying something new & different.

I mean no offence to younger men but very often we are worlds apart in our emotional & mental maturity as well as in other things. I still prefer my men older than me - the older the better.

Der is smtn abt singing that's synonymous with drugs,and drinking.Its hard to be "clean" when you're in dat industry evn if ur singing gospel(trust me)and I don't tink its an inspirational tin,I tink its more of a cult or clique thing. If u don't smoke or drink,ur termed "weak" so everyone wants to belong. Oga Majek,evn if u spend a year in rehab,ur not gonna come bak d way we knew you dos years because one:age has caught up with u and two,d drug has done a lot of damage to ur system and appearance. What u need now is a job,dat will keep u out of the limelight. You can maybe write songs for people,produce but don't sing! Singing u will be seeing pple and maybe go to clubs and perform and dat will lure u bak to drugs! You can evn leav entertainment and make it "rain" in som oda bis(oga ayiri can set u up on som kind of biz,he's got d financial power jo,lol)

All these forming and hypocrisy dey always vex me where you see people always try to paint a superlative picture of themselves.

Igboro o rerin and many ladies you see out there don't know what they want but trust me, if a lady hooks up with you online for a date you can be more certain that she means business especially if she is 30 or above.

You will hardly see decent ladies out there except maybe in theire work place where you cant disturb them and another place is in their homes where you cant barge into.

The other option is online where they can be in their bedroom and hook up with you. It will amaze you the quality of friends i have on nairaland both male and female and i don't think i have ever met such friends offline.Decent and responsible set of ladies that any man will be proud of.

Trust me, it can be frustrating wooing a lady offline because you dont even know the one that is married,engaged or not even searching but online you are most likely to get a decent single and searching lady just at a click.

Look at the creator of this thread and observe her personality and tell me if she does not seem very responsible yet you will hardly even think of walking up to her one on one due to prejudice.
