Even US cannot repay their $30 Trillion talk more of 9ja's paltry $10billion. Forget, its all politics.
what is this one saying?

One, the US govt is not owing 30 trillion

Two, the U.S. economy is buoyant enough to even support debt to GDP ratio of 200 %a feat the US can not even get to in the next 30 yrs

Nigeria on the other hand has a vulnerable economy at the mercy of external shocks, and given these shaky fundamentals, the dullard is still stock piling debt

What if Naira further depreciates and oil prices tank again?

How will Nigeria service it's debtshuh

The country is just full with dullness and USELESS people

Keeping my kids away from that zoo is amongst the best gifts I'll ever give them

The guy is, if nothing else, a coward. Couldn't he have stood his ground and stopped the girl from ordering? Or sternly tell her that he'll not be paying for her excesses? What sort of lily-livered man-child goes out with a girl and then abandons her? And fellow touts on Nairaland are applauding him? Some dudes are just a disgrace to manhood.
I'm just shaking my head, at the comments of these kids here

A real man will NEVER get himself into such situations in the first place.

If he cannot be man enough to caution her on her excesses, or lay down the rules of engagements shortly before the date, he should be ashamed of himself, and donate his balls to the nearest "ritualist" because he cannot use them

Guys /men

America is really funny

All in the bid to be bigger than China... Apple that sale less than 120 million phones and laptop ( that Samsung even make more profit then them) is bigger more than twice than Samsung

Amazon that service less than 400 million people is bigger than alliexperess that service billions

This are just shares manipulation and over blown imaginary figure

It can never be converted to real money any attempt to sale off this shares would see the price drop blow 20% of its present value

Money can't be hidden
What is this one saying? huhhuhhuhhuh.

Africans should go and fix their various countries , this idea of looking for ready made economies to go settle by Africans is a threat to humanity if we must say the truth .
Fix which countries? huhhuh

I've said it time and time again

Africans (most of them) don't have the capacity to develop a country, and don't even know what/how a developed country shoukd look like.

They are the ones who vote in bad leaders; the one who are nepotism struck, archaic and barbaric tendencies etc

How do you help a continent like this?

The ones who want to help the continent are being back stabbed by the barbaric elements in Africa.

it pains me to say this, but its the damn truth

The only way this continent can move forward is for the barbaric elements to take a back seat, and let the intellects amongst us run the show, like its done elsewhere

But as long as they insist they want to be at the front burner; Africa is going nowhere

Before you all say trash, that nigga is a nationalist and have the best interest of his country at heart.

If Africa with all its natural and human resources cannot take care of themselves anf respect their citizens then a time would come no body will.

Have you seen kuwait, UAE citizens, Oman, Americans being economic pests in other countries?

They brag about their nationality anywhere they go, try any shit with them, and they would leave tmyour country.

A friend of mine is paying for visa and tickets to travel to australia to go and seek asylum, how on earth would u expect to be respected?
The state of the countries in Africa is to blame

not just the economic state

The life there is too toxic; so I don't blame whoever wants to flee the gigantic $hithole

However; how you conduct yourself at your destination goes a long way to determine whether you will be respected or not.

And it's common news that we don't conduct ourselves well out there

Mr man you do not know what you are talking about and I am ashamed (but not surprised that you hold such an opinion). Nigerian publishers have been publishing African works for decades. Wole Soyinka, Olusegun Obasanjo, El-Rufai, Chinua Achebe, Ben Nwabueze, Kayode Esso, Pat Utomi and many others have been published by Nigerian houses. Resist the brain washing.
resist which brain washing?

I'm talking based on the experience of someone close to me, plus stories I have heard

The truth is that if you want quality, you are less likely to get it from a Nigerian publisher

I get it that you are "pan africamist " and all that, but it should not blind you from the truth

Pick a textbook from a Nigerian publisher and one from outside

The DIFFERENCE is clear

Our publishers need to step up

in fact every sector in Nigeria needs to step up

However, in Africa, they support their people and firms to commit all sort of unethical crimes and diplomatic cover to escape when shit hits fan

Western corporations are more ethical, pay staff better, does csr and if their countries find out that they practiced unethical things abroad; they will be in big trouble, that is why they are careful, and that is why tgey are having it rough in Africa with the incursion of the Chinese

The Chinese can deal with autocratic regimes freely, bribe, steal and ruin the environment with NO consequence

China has not helped us in any way. The loans they give us, have high interest rates.
The infrastructures they build are done only by Chinese companies and by Chinese citizens. They do not transfer any knowledge or skill needed for us to replicate such feat in other countries.

They do not benefit us in anyway!!!

Oh, I understand... this is a US-centric fear of Chinese dominance in trade with Africa.

They didn't complain when they were making all those loans in the 70's and 80's via IMF and World Bank that crippled most African economies until 2000's. They didn't complain when the money was used to buy their own products, with interested paid on top. Now that their lunch is being threatened, they're pointing out the dangers of loans...

Chinese entrepreneurs are investing heavily in Africa, hiring labour and building infrastructure. They are also a cheaper source of goods and machinery that African entrepreneurs are buying and using to boost our economy.

Around the world the USA is retreating - insulting friends and allies all the way - and China is quietly stepping in to fill those shoes, making deals with Europe, with Japan, with the rest of Asia, and with Africa. No dogma or imposing their views, just doing business.
Trust me, China is a worse imperialist than the West

The Chinese are ruthless and unethical

They are here in Africa for raw materials, resources And plunder.
They hire their own people, use their own company and all Africa gets is crumbs

Illegal mining is going on everywhere in Africa, land grabbing is real, and instead of our leaders to use their brain and dine with the devil with long spoon, in tyoical black man foolishness and emptiness, they are putting out countries up for sale for their benefit

Only Africans can develop Africa, and has the best interest of Africa at heart, and are in the best position to develop it

But Alas, even the Africans do not want the development of their countries

Anyways, wetin concern me, my descendents will be far from that cesspit when the repercussions come

You think they have the time to be sorting out who is from which tribe?

How!many tribes do you know in Togo, Ghana or Benin

But anything that goes wrong in that country, we go tag am by the whole country

Even in Nigeria, I think you know that Edo state is filled with different tribes, and the things Edo people are "tagged for" is predominantly done by a particular ethnic group in that state

But if you must, l challenge you to come up with verifiable proof of your assertion, that they are from the North.
Give us names and service Numbers or anything verifiable to back up your claim
At least 60% of those posted there are northern folk

Christians and Muslims, but that does not matter because they are from the north, whether Christian or Muslim.

And I got my info from reliable sources, because I have enough relatives who are service men.
(that is a major reason why I am sympathetic to them)

The problem we are having is that this rotation and deployment of a thing is done via connection, meaning that if you have a godfather, you will be less likely to be deployed to the war front.

But because southern folks are already biased, stupid people are spreading the narrative that it is southern (Igbo) people that they are sending to the front to die.

When Col. Ali was killed, did you check the name of those who died with him in his team?

When Lt Haruna was also killed with his squad, did you bother to check the names,,?

I will not say more than this, those who know, know what's happening

But Nigerians being biased, dumb and stupid are easily manipulated to believe biased narratives
