Godlylifeoneart: I woke up early today, reflecting on our once beloved nation, the book writers giant of Africa in corruption, mismanagement, favoritism and nepotism, the new capital of poverty in the world home to many corrupt multi billionaires in $ A nation that does not protect minority investors, A country where your losses at the capital market is meaningless to the government. Can we ever get it right again in this country? A nation where budgeting does not means execution or completion,A nation where pronunciation is not an action, A nation where optimists are actually pessimists in reality. Suddenly, Nigeria overthrew Indian as the headquarter of poverty in the world under the lifeless president (Trump analogy) What would happen should Buhari rules for another 4 yrs? The bubble will burst, our investment will go down the drain of history. What will happen should pdp take over the governance of Nigeria... Your guess is as good as mine... Back to square zero. We do not deserve the Atiku the kwankwaso, the tambuwa, the Saraki of this world. What many analysts do not understand is that it is not just the bear that is wiping away our investment in NSE, the danger we do not see has been sighted by the foreign raiders (investors) If GT bank one the best manage institution in the world is being exited at the speed of light by foreign raiders then there is a hand writing on the wall which many minority investors have failed to acknowledged. GT bank is an anti bear, GT bank symbolizes the hope of NSE, once foreign raiders interest declined in GT then we are all in trouble. My view to right the hardship being faced by minority investors is for us to call on the insensitive politicians that are ruining Nigeria to pass a bill or an executive order for an establishment of portfolio protection insurance at a reasonable price.... Maybe 0.005% per portfolio, reduction of brokerage fee from 1.35% to 0.5% The brokers in Nigeria do nothing and earn like Agbalowomeri... In order word they are gold diggers. May God rescue us from the fear of the unknown. Amen This your post got me thinking Too much malpractice, corruption and wickedness is what troubles Nigeria Any ways Najia go survive |

Health › Re: My Thoughts About Nigeria Medical Doctors. by Ugosample(m): 12:05am On Sep 02, 2018 |
Kabaka100: I'll just give u radical explanation on why we have this epidemic of attitude problems in our medical sector and other professional sectors too. Focussing on the medical sector, once u see a doctor with stupid attitude and another with good attitude, I urge u to first to make a quick guess of the doctor's background and environmental influences b4 he/she became s doctor. In most cases if u do further research into that doctor's background, u will understand that in most cases doctors from well to do families will treat u better than doctors from poor families and backgrounds. This is not so 100% all the time but it is so about 98% of the time. The logical reason for this is because rich people to to make this easy for their kids while poor people can even they try but their struggle like them till the become doctor. So when these doctors from different background go out in the real world, they will treat kike they see the world. Most doctors from the rich family will make tgeir patients feel good because thats how they see their workd while the doctors from tge poor familiees will make things rough for the patients because psychologically they are on a rebellion against a systm which made them suffer. This rebellious attitude applies to all sectors of our system, from politcs to medicine. The people in that system are just responding, reacting and and in most cases rebelling againt the foundation which has moulded them to what they've become. It's just human nature and if not kept in check with system designed punishments, it can destroy a nation like its affecting all our sectirs right now I agree 100 % with you on this one. A!lot of Nigerians are psychologically transducer due to the sufferings and all. Even tho they don't admit it, it's true |

Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, here's a brief profile (or 'inclusion criteria', if you will) of the characters in that rarified gathering:
Aliko - Oligarch - multi billion dollars, preeminent Nigerian 'centre of gravity'.
Femi - Oligarch - approximately a billion dollars, a perennial Aliko sidekick.
Tunde Ayeni - Oligarch - approximately a billion dollars.
Duke - Aristocratic political figure with a big personality: quintessential upper crust 'life of the party'.
Segun Awolowo - Aristocratic silverspoon with a quasi-dynastic heritage. Always welcome.
Otunba Niyi - Aristocratic silverspoon/political has-been, with a self-effacing albeit charming personality.
Sam Iwuajoku - dollar multi-millionaire mover, shaker, influence peddler, fixer, arranger, long time Aliko inner circle member, and man with ways and means. Proven underground player.
Charles Ahize - eminent social climbing and charismatic arriviste, reliable P. I. M. P, social arranger and "supplier', and man about town. interesting |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Ugosample(m): 5:55pm On Sep 01, 2018 |
Deadlytruth: In my own opinion, you need to sell and avoid further losses which are obviously inherent in FO, then look for a more promising one and buy with the proceeds. No quoted company on NSE is worth falling in love with and residing in more than six months. It is not marriage where it is for better for worse as long as it is not your father's company. Not even the so called bluest chips are exempted. They can do to you what FO has just done. From my own experience, long terming in Nigeria is dangerous and could be counterproductive especially to low portfolio size owners like some of us. You can wake up one day and begin to hear stories that touch concerning your company and bailing out becomes almost impossible.
The intersting feature of the stock market is that when one door is closed, another one is open right then but just the ability to recognize it. It is not actually difficult to recoup your losses if you sell and buy into another company which is healthy but trading below its fair value. The stock market is like politics where there aren't permanent friend or enemy companies but permanent interest of dividends and capital appreciation. Once a company your are in no longer holds the capacity to deliver your interest you defect to another which holds out such prospect.
Many investors have been sent to their villages permanently as a consequence of this hold tight syndrome. So Beware. are you advising people not to hold stocks for the long term |
