The worst mistake I've made as a Nigerian living in diaspora is having properties in Nigeria and I will never fall for such nonsense again. a mistake I will not make myself Apart from portfolio investments that I can dump anytime, no other type of investment is worth it in Nigeria TO ME. Note : TO ME. Buying up property will tie you big time. except you intend living there in future, or you build an apartment complex that will generate cash flow for you, buying a property in Nigeria and leaving it fallow is not such a good idea |

UyiIredia: Racist. But if land you conquer is yours then blacks can conquer whites and take back their land. Even better since they were there before whites conquered them. Your quote there is silly and can be used to justify colonialism, racism and neo-colonialism. if the lsnd is taken from you, its no longer yours It's the natural law. it's just that sentimental black nigg.as like you don't get it If you were conquered, the land is not yours anymore That is how the fulani conquered the Hausa kingdoms, ihos the arabs conquered the sudan it's a global thing Now that Zimbabwe seized the lsnd from the white folk, it's not theirs anymore, but can Zimbabwe stand what will follow? If they can hold their own and defend themselves, then the lsnd remains theirs It's the same with SA if the govt want to seize the lsnd, no p, but they should be ready for what follows A man who has territory MUST defend it from all forms of attack And if SA survived it, then they are good We have armies for a reason. to avoid the law of nature /conquest making an example of us. |

What else did Nigerians want?
Will there be a time we will ever be satisfied and get contented with the kind of leaders we have?

Its easy to know them, they like to live big and show off. For them life is a contest. They dont take life easy at all its always like they are battling with something. If you ever have any dealings with such children, they will swindle you and call you a mugu. These ones grew up in a struggle to live environment where you can do anything to survive. The end justifices the means kind of environment. If you commit any crime and survive its ok as long as you are not caught.
Unlike children born from elite homes, they take life easy, their upbringing was not in a winner takes it all enviroment. They love and share. They live one day at a time no unnecessary struggle. You are right tho |
Politics › Re: APC Accuses Saraki Of Committing ‘Treason’ by Ugosample(m): 7:38pm On Aug 14, 2018 |
zicoraads: It has never been this terrible. I mean, is Saraki the reason why the country is in a messed up situation right now?!
I was at the headquarters of the Federal Inland Revenue Service for hours yesterday and kept thinking of these online irritants that are always quick to support this Government.
Throughout my stay, I was at the Human Resources room. Guess who and who were coming to conclude the final lap of their documentation? The kids of those who are either related or were formally related to those in power.
Apart from one lady or two, whose surname was not recognizable, almost every name that submitted their form after documentation was a familiar name in political circles.
I know there's an FIRS thread here that stated sometime around 2016, where some people that started that recruitment process have lost hope or are still waiting for word. Those who came to that office yesterday didn't even write any test nor was it advertised as it is supposed to be.
I have known the workings of the FIRS since 2010. I know those who got jobs there with no single person to vouch for them. Another batch got in 2012 and there was still no need to know a political godfather. Now, it's as terrible as anything.
Those who are in CBN will tell you that there are no enough seats for those who were brought in sometime after Buhari's electoral victory. Did anyone call any one of you or your relations?
Same thing happened to the NCC. The DSS was worse.
Or after everything, we should be happy that N-Power was left to us, the masses? What is 30k in today's Nigeria? Does anyone of you know the start-up salaries and allowances of those agencies I mentioned above?
But if we talk about how high nepotism is in this Government, some of you that are not even beneficiaries, but are probably reliant on a paltry 40 or 30k will be ready to insult someone.
Nonsense and ingredients! no mind Nigerians o mumu people The well to do don't jostle for jobs, the political elite are connected and they secure their children's lives But for the msssrd |

Politics › Re: "Why APC Senators Found It Difficult To Impeach Saraki" – Lai Mohammed Reveals by Ugosample(m): 2:42pm On Aug 14, 2018 |
linearity: I think, the sure way to remove Saraki from being the Senate President is for APC to challenge his emergence as the President in court.
They should force the court to interpret the 2/3rd majority threshold needed to appoint a Senate President, since Saraki did not meet that threshold when he was voted into power, as he only got 55 votes and used a different interpretation of the constitution i.e. 2/3rd majority of a quorum to get elected. The Supreme Court should be forced to render judgment on this.
They will need a good lawyer, to over the overcome the doctrine of collateral estoppel; which in this case is that, ‘having accepted him as their Senate President for years, they are estoppel from challenging his election as illegal’. Judges usually apply this doctrine, and strike cases when there are no constitutional breaches.
The case can be expedited, if the Presidency refer it directly to the Supreme Court in form of asking them to clearly interpret the constitution, which is their job.
The Supreme Court can come out with a ruling within weeks and whichever way the court rules, Saraki will be tossed...ie if the court does not reject or strike the case.
If the court ruled that, you need 2/3rd of active members; then Saraki’s Presidency is invalidated; if they rule that; 2/3rd of quorum members is okay, Saraki’s Presidency is validated...but it means that, all APC need to remove him from office is 2/3rd of quorum members, which is like 2/3rd of 1/3 of members. look at this one? "the supreme court should be forced" in other words compromise the autonomy of the supreme court in order to achieve your foolish aims Wisdom is lacking in this country unfortunately. let us even assume that your silly plan works You really think the house can have only 36 apc members in the house to pull the plug on saraki? Without even 10 to 15 Pdp members in the house? Even within the apc ranks, not all will vote to boot saraki out. And let us assume that thr stupid plan works, it also means that Buhari can be pushed out of office with 2/3 of the quorum in the both houses (36 and 120 respectively) You guysshould use your brains |
