IbroSaunks: I believe Katsina would be more interesting than Oyo. Besides, not to make Oyo corpers feel bad, but i've heard that their camp is Le Worst! :x grin
i dont believe any camp could be as bad as Imo state orientation camp! The only thing positive about that camp was the military men, who were corper-friendly. The camp is a total disaster! The hostels are uncomfortable (1200 guys sharing just 4 toilets), no auditorium for lectures (they provided a tenth that cant sit more than 150 persons), no recreational sports activities (just volleybal & footbal), did i mention the hostel? It was an eye-sore! Prisoners could boast of better accomodation! The camp is not fenced, so villagers stroll in and out of the camp, most times to steal our stuffs when we're out for parade. Mtn network was terible, especially for Gprs and BB (this is the case for most camps, so u might wanna get an extra sim). There was no borehole, so they contracted a tanker that supplies water twice a day, in between it, no water at all. The food at mami was a remix of the food at the general camp kitchen, so u just wonder why u're paying for the trash when u could as well manage the kitchen food.
I cant believe i spent 3wks of my life there. It was a horible place to be. A fellow nairalander started a thread on the state of imo camp, i thut i was the only one that noticed.

Check out this thread for addresses and directions of various orientation camps.

@mega, from bayelsa to Lag: u cant take a flight from ph airport at omagwo to lagos. If u book ur flight online and ahead of time, u can get up to 50% discount. Try aero contractors (www.flyaero.com). U can get N11k flight, rather than the usual N28,600 u pay thru the counter.

Abbasufi: PLEASE ANYBODY WHO CANT FIND HIS NAME SHUD QUOTE MY LATEST BIG LIST AND THEN PUT HIS NAME AND POSTING , I WILL CORRECT IT INSHA ALLAH.
goodwork. Just keep requoting and editing.
You might want to list the states, then the housemates that was posted their for easy viewing.
Example:
Abia: keecee, edu4
Akwa ibom: monalisa, jingerman, dclue68
etc...
This will make editing easier, also, housemates will know who else is cruising the same state with him/her.
Batch B house did a lot of hooking up, some hooked up at camp and started a relatnship and are dating now. So, dont overlook what u're doing now.
Kudos y'all.

suffi, i could remember doing the batch B list. It was stressful, but u've got to be tough, keep editing and re-quoting the previews list with updates. This is ur thread, and its already at frontpage. Each new page u guys have should have a quote of the updated list.
Like i said earlier, this is ur thread, make it lively, dont abandon it for anyone.
Btw, where dem post u go grin
NYSCRe: Chat Room For Nysc Batch C 2012 Corpers by ujchief(m): 10:18am On Nov 02, 2012
For those of u asking for addresses of various orientation camps, what u need is not address but directions. Example, what good will it do for u knowing that Edo state camp is p.m.b, 76, okada if u dont know the direction to okada? I will pull up some threads we started about these directions later.
NYSCRe: Chat Room For Nysc Batch C 2012 Corpers by ujchief(m): 10:01am On Nov 02, 2012
Nice work suffi. U guys should endeavour to keep in touch with this house while at camp. Its going to be difficult doing that as u're goin to be pre-occupied with final shoping, traveling, registration at camp, and most especially, terrible network.
Our Batch B house has become a desolate ground as it was abandoned due to those factors i listed above.

miss this house, big time! I saw batch c's thread on the front page, and i saw how excited they all are. Reminds me of this house that kept us together thru the long wait. And how did we pay it back? We ignored it. I'm guilty of this too. Thanks Gombs, each time i browse thru this house, i always see ur comment.
I'm doing well sha, just as i planned, i returned to my work in Abia state, i drive to imo state once every 2wks for my cds and clearance, a 30mins drive from my town. My ppa is a local govt council, i payd 5k at camp to be posted there.
Service was a good scheme that has lost its former glory.
@loske, gombs, ms_stef, i snipe y'all. One luv.

Clerverly: Manchester City CEO just stepped down as FA Chairman after many years. Do you know anything at all about football?
dont mind them! Do they even know who and who makes up the Fa? Every club's CEO is automatically a member of Fa. City's Ceo has been fa chairman for ages now, no qualms, but when manutd david gill is apointed vice chairman, u guys start raising dust! Nanscence!
U guys were claiming webb is a manutd fan, now the story has changed.
I guess if it was an English ref that gave Drogba a red card for slapping vidic at champions league final in 2008.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Do Some Clubs Really Have Upper Hand In The English Fa? by ujchief(m): 5:13pm On Oct 31, 2012
KINGwax: Me, i don't knw anythin, but i knw dt DAVID GILL, the CEO of MANURE is currently the vice-chairman of the shameful FA and even currently vying for the post of the CHAIRMAN. how's dt bla bla bla
All chief executives of clubs are members of the FA, and within its members, elections are conducted to determine the fa chairman, vice, secretary, etc. David Gill has been a member of FA, so is the chief executive of man city, liv'pol, norwish, wigan etc. Next election, an executive from west ham could win Fa chairman, no big deal.
Felix Anyansi Agwu, the Chairman of Enyimba football Club, the Aba giants, has been a vice chairman in Nfa for long, does it mean that Enyimba get favour from officials? Nope! Enyimba remains the only African club to win champions league back to back, a feat no african (or european) club has ever done, 5 times Nigerian premiership winners, 4 times Fa cup winners, 2 times super 4 winners, yet our bitter rivals, Rangers of Enugu never accuses us of any match fixing!
If Manutd is having favours in England, then Barca is definitely having favours from uefa (v. Persie will be noding now if he reads my coment)

Billyonaire: Take it easy bro. Camry can get him up, if he will wash away his pride and go into taxi services.
what are the odds of that happening? Did he sound like someone that can 'wash away his pride' and start a taxi biz? The guy is searching for a new job already!! If he was sacked, it would be understandable, but he wasnt sacked! He saw the duration of the contract, but instead of saving for the unavoidable rainy day, he choose to compete wit big guns in the city. Let him cruize his camry and stop searching for a job.

Maricuzi: After NYSC 2010, I got a teaching job @ 15k. Less than 8months I got a contract job @ 110k for 16months. Now am out of d job, searchin for a new one

The 110k really help cos I ve a camry now and a little savings for feedin , till I find a new job.

God is Able
u got a 16 month contract job at N110k per month and all u thought of was buying a Camry? 16 months and all u could boast of was a Camry? U couldnt use the money to start up something of ur own when ur contract runs out?? U bought a camry? U were a teacher, earning 15k, then had a litle oppurtunity to help urself and u bought a camry? Did u say u're looking for a new job? What for? Why not drive around town wit ur 'camry' everymorning and retire to ur house? If u were my younger brother, i would have electrocuted u, no jokes! When others wash their camry to take it to work in the morning, u stil wash urs to drive it to where? Someone else's office to submit an application for work? I HATE YOU!
EducationRe: Abia Shuts-down Over 100 Illegal Schools by ujchief(m): 4:05pm On Oct 31, 2012
Dear Mrs Monica Philips,
why wouldnt private schools spout out like mushrooms when u & ur cousin, T.a. Orji has turned public schools into an eye-sore? Most of the so called mushroom schools are far better than the public schools. But i cease to wonder, b'cos such policies will benefit ur school, Britarch montesori, umuahia.
Please, quit the wild goose chase and improve the quality of public schools, as not all Abians can afford the exorbitant fees charged by ur private school. Stop fashioning policies that will suit ur school on the long run.
If this policy is born out of goodwill, then why is the same govt officials charging and collecting fees from these schools, returning their licences to operate even without them adding a single classroom block?
When u succeed in chasing ur competitors out of the labour market, parents that cant afford ur britarch will move to other states in search of quality education, as they're currently leaving Absu for other high institutions.
CultureRe: Igbo: A Tribe Or A Nation? by ujchief(m): 10:18pm On Oct 30, 2012
Antivirus92: answer this again. Can igalla, urhobo, tiv, efik, calabar ever come together and take up one language, culture, tradition etc? Who will agree to forfeit his own language/culture for the other? Have u ever heard of dead languages in igboland? Or do those different groups of people migrated with one language miracleously?
there are no dead languages in igbo land. But i guess that was a rhetorical question.
4 pages and we're stil on a wide goose chase.
I'v tried to highlite what we the igbos have in common, our similarities are soo strong that one can easily call us a tribe. But we're not just a tribe. We're a nation with similar language, custom, believe etc. A unique people with various tribes: aro, ngwa, awka, nsuka, ohafia, mbaise, abakiliki etc.
CultureRe: Igbo: A Tribe Or A Nation? by ujchief(m): 7:22pm On Oct 30, 2012
Antivirus92: What we are talking about is whether igbos are really related or just different groups of people bound by language.
Thats not what ur topic asked. Anyway, how could u ask if igbos are 'really related'? What do u even mean by that? Igbos share a whole lot of things together such as but not limited to language, culture, belief (eg in chi), traditions (igba nkwu - mariage rites, ibi ugwu - circumstition, osu - out caste, traditional rain making etc).
The ökùnkö society is found in most igbo tribes.
If such diverse tradition and belief is found in all igbo tribes, then igbo is a nation!

Stop contributing to the topic if you're sleepy, were did you read that Ngwa didn't originally identify as Igbo? Do know you that Aba is Ngwa? Do you know how the name Ngwa ( Ndi Ngwa Ngwa and Ndi Ohuhu) came about?

I may come back to comment on topic.
pls dont come back. Start a thread about the Ngwa-Ngwa and ohuhu and enlighten us. Dont derail the thread already.
CultureRe: Igbo: A Tribe Or A Nation? by ujchief(m): 4:09pm On Oct 30, 2012
Igbo is a nation.
The use of nation may not appeal to the contemporary usage, as one regards a nation as having a sovereign status and geopolitical boundary recorgnised both home and abroad.
But if a collection of different ethnic groups and tribes with common believe, religious/spiritual, same language, custom etc is a nation, then igbo is a perfect example.
The igbo nation comprises different groups and/or tribes: aro, oru, ngwa, nri, ikwere, abakiliki, ogbashi, onicha etc.
The common saying 'igbo enwe eze' says it all. The tribes in igbo land can have their eze(s), but igbo as a nation enweghi eze.
The powers of an eze can be effective in ruling his clan/tribe/ethnic group, but isnt enough to rule the entire igbo nation.

u'd play this ur line up when playing against Bristol City at home! U expect this ur cleverly, anderson, carick to play against chelsea? Thank God u arent a manager!
Scholes and carrick are manning that midfield, anything short of it is a diseaster on the making!

SailorXY: i laugh in Hebrews. Scholes and Carrick midfield? that midfield will lose COMFORTABLY. Scholes should have no business in the starting line up against Chelsea
scholes/carrick in the centre has been the best collabo in epl in recent times! Check the stats! Carrick plays the holding mid-field role while scholes spreads the passes to the flanks (nani and valencia).
If fergie plays this duo 2day, then i'v got nothing to worry about but my defence.

I'm going to miss Terry in this match! I needed him to be there so that my strikers can have an easy access to Cech. I'd love to see Rooney shooting the ball straight under his open legs, hernandez beating him on air to nod past Cech, see him slide uncontrallably past the ball as Rvp fakes the dummy and shoots at goal!
Terry is a liability, a diseaster and a shame to defenders! Too bad hes not gona play.
United all the way!
well I wouldn't want to stretch this any further. Members of the tribunal please act on my observations and my previous exchanges with @pointb
I take this as a formal appeal against the candidacy of one of the contestants. I'v reviewed the case presented by mr. Globe against a contestant for eze nwanyi. Although he has a valid case as stipulated in a section of the election guidline, it lacks merit.
Let me refer to the case Onyema Ugochukwu (PDP, Abia) vs T.A. Orji (PPA, Abia). After the 2007 gubernetorial election, when orji had been declared winner, Onyema challanged the candidacy of T.a orji based on the fact that he (orji) did not resign his previous apointment as the state's chief of staff under the previous administration. The election tribunal based its judgement on this true fact and nullified orji's election, declaring Onyema winner.
Upon appeal by Orji, the appealant court made it clear that Onyema should have filed against orji's candidacy b4 the election, not after the election. Based on this, the appealant court over-ruled the tribunal and
My verdict: you should have challanged the candidacy of the contestant at the nomination thread, not at this election thread. Its true u claimed u werent aware of such quotes by her except when someone else brought them up, but ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
Therefore, Ogugua remains a bonafide contestant, and all votes for her remains valid.
Mr. Globe, u're a good nwa afo igbo, and i urge u to maintain ur vigilant eye on any person or group of persons that may not mean well for the unity of umu igbo.
This is my verdit. Other members of the tribunal can make their submission and/or stand by this.
