kokoA: 1. and what make their lives more important than hundreds of other people that die in plane crashes?@1. Men of God are not the only private jet owners in this country, u just pick on them b'cos u prefer they die in plane crash with everyother Nigerian. Your problem is that u're ok with the likes of otedola and uba having private jets after swindling the country, but its un-imaginable for the CAN president to have one, despite having to travel all the lenght of the country and abroad by virtue of the nature of his office. @2. What do u think the jets they have is for? U actually think they live at the jets? Dont border answering, i'v seen how shallow so many nigerians are. For ur info, the jet is for the work of God! They travel around with it for ease of transportation. How will pst Adeboye attend a program being hosted by redeemed church, owerri with his entourage? Pastorial assistants, music directors, personal asst, wife and other pastors he may want to travel along with? If Kukah had his jet, he would have flewn down to Lag to deliver his own speech rather than sending a representative. Quit hating, it makes u look shallow and empty. The word of God is working. |
Oya face ur front, you hear??
oops! U gave up? U started the insults, u saw ur match, now u're runing wit ur tail inbetween ur legs! |
Few years back, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 'of single and married' lost her precious life on the sosoliso plane crash. Another pastor (name forgoten) lost his life on the Dana plane crash. It seems u guys are more interested in seeing people die daily on ur ill-managed and non-regulated airplanes than seeing men of God prosper beyond ur myopic imagination. If not for the poor state of the nation, how much does a private jet cost? I would have been enjoying pastor bimbo's programs till date if she had her own jet to fly her around. Ride on pastors, u guys give me hope and help re-affirm my faith that the word of God really works! |
Gej is on a self-destruct mission. Its either he destroys the nation, or he destroys himself! I keep wondering why its easier for him to fight the citizens than to fight coruption? Anything that can destroy this administration is a welcome development. |
Yea, right! So that the Nuc/Tuc can hijack the protest, get their settlement and abandon us when we need them most? |
Reminds me of one of the characters in the movie 'HEROES'. Whats that his name again? |

I guess Eze Onlytruth will have to use his veto power to implement most of the proposals made so far. It will be one of the greatest achievements of this tenure to succesfully establish laid down guidlines and principles for elected Ezes/ezenwanyi and electoral guidlines. |
i gues Eze Onlytruth will have to use his veto power to make a implement lots of proposals and laws. It will be one of the greatest achievement of this tenure. |
Fresh air everywhere ![]() One of the strongest points we made while kicking against the subsidy removal, 'why dont mr president repair our refineries? We argued that if the refineries were working at full capacity, we'd have enough for local consuption, and even a little more for export, then who'd talk of subsidy again? Isnt this one of his electoral promises? I bet Gej and denziani has a lot to gain by leaving our refineries in a pathetic situation. |

Gwam Gwam Gwam! Gwam Eze elect nairaland? |
@pointB, so far, many proposals have been made, so whats the way forward? Are we adopting them by default are passing them into a vote? We've got lots of things to do, lets start adopting some of these proposals b4 this thread looses steam. 1. I made a proposal about appointment and tenure of electoral commissioner and tribunal. 2. Ngwakwe made a proposal about conditions for removal of elected office holders. His proposal has recieved lots of suports already. 3. We discuss about adopting the profiling method for acception nominations and votes. Please do consider these proposals and adopt or bring them up for a vote. |
Regarding the office of electoral commissioner and tribunal, i'll suggest for it to be the sole duty of council members to apoint prior to election, and the tenure to elapse after the coronation of the new Eze, when its obvious there are no other matters arising from the election. This constitution amendment we're undergoing now will make the work of the electoral bodies easier. |
This bill should be signed into law asap. Ngwakwe: On the issue of removal of elected officer, I suggest that a motion of no confidence vote be called by the Election commissioner on receiving a call/complain to that effect by 1/3 the number of votes the officer received when voted into office. |
biafranbaby: All of the above. + many more.Nwanne, cool ur temper. When Ngwakwe's bill is signed into law, u'll stand a chance of pioneering the removal of any elected oficial. According to the bill, all u need is one-third of the total number of votes he/she had during election, in this particular case, if ogugua got 34 votes (or thereabout), all u need is 12 members to oppose her election, then the electoral commisioner wil poll her up once again, then a 50.1% majority vote takes her out of ofice. So i'll advice u once more to chanel ur energy in this process at hand. |
Ngwakwe's bill on guidlines for removal of elected Eze and Ezenwanyi has recieved endorsements from umu igbo and should be signed into law asap. Whoever is moderation this section should take note. I'll re-post his submision when i find it. We're making progres. |
Happy birthday pastor. May God continue to anoint ur head with oil, and cause ur cup to overflow with His blessings. We, the flock needs more news like this, so to reassure us that the word really works. |
I believe we've successfully treated one of the sub-menu in part 1- qualifications to nominate. I believe the profiling method is adopted. Now the 2nd sub-menu of same part one; qualification to be nominated and grounds for disqualification from being nominated is still inconclusive. Many (i myself, Ify, achi4u, goldylock and a few othes) are of the opinion that the grounds stated for disqualification does not allow a fair playing ground since the subject matter is not well defined and that the section of the electoral guideline should be relaxed a bit. Pls, lets critically analyse this issue and give it a more satisfactory conclusion. I believe a clear condition for being nominated should be first and foremost, being a full blooded igbo, identifying with igbos here on Nl and believing on the need for a united igbo. If there are coments he made in the past, it is the duty of we all to bring forth such coments, use it against him and discourage peeps from voting him. |
Still on nomination issues... If we agree that someone can be disqualified for denigrating what the igbos hold in high esteem, question is, what is the yardstick for such measurements? Using the Rochas scenario, some peeps stil believe that Rochas philantropic system of governance is a charade aimed at decieving the naive. Now, would u consider such a statement an insult to igbo leaders? Isnt T.a orji, the governor of Abia state an igbo leader? Now will anyone blink an eyelid if hes insulted? No? Why? Afterall, peeps like patrickobi and emindu will argue that hes a true igbo leader. I've argued with peeps like abagworo, antivirus and chinenyeN at the culture section, will it be fair if i sugest that abagworo be disqualified in an election b'cos he didnt agree with my submision that igbos are a nation and not just a tribe as he claimed? My point. . .the disqualification of nominees based on denigration of igbos is stil controversial, that section of the electoral guidline should be amended. Pls, lets all look into that and come up with better options rather than disqualification over undefined subject matters. Inasmuch as we're trying to protect naive voters, we should try and come up with a robust process that will carry everyone along, least we start having factions and parallel elections. |

CHESSBOARD: She has summarily said she will continue bashing all IGBOS in Nairaland , since she think the ppl that kidnap, steal and kill represent all IGBOS and are equal to BOKO Haram. Stewpid girl. Now I can see why you cannot think well as EZEnwayi, you r working round the clock doing 3 jobs. A$$ Lickerwhy the insult mr chessboard? Thats not what i read from her post; didnt u see where she welcomed constructive criticism? I saw in her post where she apologised if the way she conveyed her thuts offends anyone. She even emphasized that she had been and always will be commited to ndi igbo and that she has our best interest at heart. What more do u need? Unless, of course u have some personal beef with her, which is evident in ur last paragraph. Pls, do visit this thread to make electoral reforms, its the only way forward. www.nairaland.com/1097552/eze-ndi-igbo-nairaland-electoral |
The electoral reform thread has been opened. Instead of opening threads to slant elected/appointed council members, we should put our head together at that thread and ensure that a more robust process will emanate. Nice post ogugua, its great to know u've got a thick skin against these cheap blackmailers. The Op used his other moniker, Mr. Globe to oppose ur nomination at the election thread. But when we the tribunal threw away his petition, he used this handle to create this thread. Watch out for peeps like him, yes, they abound in Nl. |
coogar: each vote was screened to the last detail....you wouldn't have been allowed on the thread, let alone vote......onlytruth went through the posts of each member that voted to see their tribal affiliations!u mean pointB? Lol... U so much detest pointB that u dont want to give him the credit of a succesful election. Hahahaha... Some beef u've got up there! Btw, thanks for acknowledging that the election was transparent. A lot of u guys did comend us after the result was announced. |
shymexx: Where is Ogugua88??shes already made her 'ACCEPTANCE' speech at the election thread! All these ranting resulting in 23 pages of wasted kilobytes amounts to nothing! |
miteolu: ResignationHes sponsoring a bill to burrow $90 bil, this is going to plunge us into 25yrs of captivity! |
Kini big deal? Same way Abacha had millions of people 'BEGGING' him to continue, same way Obj had millions of people 'URGING' him to amend the constitution to suit his 3rd term agenda! Kini big deal? Every leader, no matter how incompetent will always have psychophant praise singers! |
