Compliments of the season everyone. So I passed my driving test yesterday with 3 minors. I remember when I came here to complain some months back about my instructor (whom I did change) and driving in general.lol.
I had never driven before, had between 35- 40 hours and passed first time. I'm not a motivational speaker or anything but if I can drive and pass the test, Anybody can! My family still can't believe I passed. They couldn't even believe I was learning cos I can fear for Africa.

Congratulations.

Make sure you keep driving cautiously always...

This is the best time to migrate. Also, the current post-Brexit climate is relatively favorable for African migrants.
She has no student loans, she has the time and energy to put in hours + build a career. If she takes her opportunities well, 10 yrs down the line, this move should prove hugely rewarding.

Well said....

I am a serial job changer....lol. story for another day but what you typed up has been my experience

As long as you have accrued it and there is enough team coverage, its not even a big deal or worth a second thought. No normal manager will be upset

I have collected all my annual leave, study leave etc in my office.... grin grin

Waiting for next year to start arranging all the leaves. British people in my office have collected theirs....... grin

I think you were so eager to buy a car from a ‘friend’ that you didn’t bother to do the most basic research about road taxes.

Road tax 101 is very clear that it a not transferable. The day a car is sold, the burden shifts to the new owner. Infact, if the old owner had already paid fully, they will be refunded.

I guess you have paid school fees, to learn the hard way.

Lessons learned. Move on.
Exactly

Serious school fees paid unfortunately

Hmmm....

Learn from this and trust only yourself next time.

Please settle the tax man before they will dispose of the car.....tax man does not laugh when it comes to what belongs to him

We pay rent 3 monthly upfront payments. Currently, the one we have paid will expire January 8. We are supposed to pay again by January 9 for 3 months till April 8.

I will check the contract and speak with the letting agent too by nexg week.

Why 3 months upfront payments all the time please

Not all investors, for e.g. if your funds are due during a crash, that will be the value you will get. People commit suicide because of cases like this, so it’s no joking matter. They could loose all their life savings in the process.

The stock market crash is good for the investors on cash is king....

Shebi you say they are abusing the system, How do people abuse a system by bringing in their families legally? Are Nigerians alone bringing a strain on housing and schools. The Syrians, Ukraine who came in with huge families nko. Na only Nigerians waka come?

Exactly

Those ones who pack themselves in houses are illegal immigrants.

We are talking about those Nigerians who are abusing the student visa route by packing their whole families to the UK. It is putting a strain on housing and schools. Please stick to the topic.

But the UK government should build more infrastructure with the billions of funds realised from the visa applications and HS fees...

Moreover, those on benefits are majorly non Nigerians grin

Thanks guys for your advice. I didn't drive the husband today. The wife said no need that I can't drive a manual car. The husband said they don't have an automatic car they would have given me.
He advised I apply for a UK provisional license and get an instructor to teach me so I can buy my car when I have a UK license. He said for now I should get a bicycle and recommend were to get cheap deals. He also said he will limit my clients to places close to where I live.

I am greatful it turned out this way. I had feard the worst but thank God it went well. thanks everyone for your concern and advise

Good it's sorted smoothly
