It's possible, you just have to be smart about it. My mates and I worked and still ended up with very good grades. The trick is to be very attentive in class, once you do that it will be easier.

I had a funny experience, went for a gig out of town for five days (the pay was good I had to take it) had my Java exam the morning I got back, finished the exam early and got an A. So it's tough but possible.

It's an interesting field, but to sit at the table with the big boys in naija, you have to tilt more towards Data Analysis. In the past one month there has been a lot of Data Analysis related vacancies. That said, there's nothing as cool as predictive analysis...makes you feel like a god.

Reading some comments here, you have to wonder if people actually have working brains. How can a sovereign government willfully hand over data of its citizens to a foreign organisation? How in this world does that make sense? I know most folks have inferiority complex issues but this is simple and straightforward you keep Nigerian data on Nigerian soil. As a Data Analyst this decision baffles me, in the past few months why has Germany and China being extra sensitive about their data falling into foreign hands? Folks are getting dumber by the day in this country.

To the serious part, if you are designing a login page, do you have a database? A registration page? Answer these questions and let's take it from there.

How can you call a woman 5 times a day? That alone is enough reason for her to reject you. To get a woman, you must learn how to 'reject' her. Women love it when you show a bit of "I don't care" attitude. For them that slight rejection/ pain makes love worthwhile.

For Nigeria, I would recommend web based apps.

For mobile, you would have to divide your development energy across all the common platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows), and not everyone uses a smartphone either. You would be inefficient and would cut out an entire demographic.
