PoliticsRe: Jimi Agbaje Declares For PDP, Running For Lagos Guber by Urine:
SMH @ all the comments, you don't want Tinubu yet you're shouting Jimi Agbaje. Let me burst your bubble, Agbaje is a Tinubu boy! He's a major contractor for the Lagos State Government. Let me give you a clue, find out the major suppliers of drugs to government hospitals.

Also I'm tired of people disturbing themselves about Tinubu, he is not the sole King maker, any decision that will be made will have to be a joint one among The Oba of Lagos, Former IG of Police Musiliu Smith, and Jagaban. You all know next to nothing about Lagos politics. SMH

You are using "node.js", the one you should be using is "node.js command prompt", this is the place you can install express etc.

Click "all programs" you will see it in your Node.js folder.

Kinkybraids: Good Day

Im 25 years old and am currently doing a postgraduate degree in Accounting. I am the oldest female in from my father's first wife. My parents are old school.

In the past my parents have never really told me when they expect me to be married but now they are asking me when am I bringing someone home shocked . I explained to them that im still focusing on my studies and university isnt the best place to meet a husband. They told me no one will want me when im old.

I have dated in the past but none of the relationships were serious...and ill be honest Im not sure if I intended them to lead to marriege. I just didnt think about marriege at that time.

My question is how do I attract a serious man? My demands are not hard to please...but my brother says Im too picky. I want the following from a man:

1. He must be educated

2. He must have the potential to earn enough money to take care of me and our family even though Ill be capable of contributing

3. He mustn't be too traditional... Id like him to respect my fathers wishes and still be morden

4. Id like him to be handsome but not extremely handsom that he is a player

5. Id also like him to be open minded about sex...ie He shouldnt expect a virgin and he should be experienced enough

6. Lasty Id like him to have intergrity and be faithful

Is this too much to ask? And where do i find him sad
PS: I am attractive enough (but I am not a supermodel) lol... Im not slim or fat but based on my prior suitors I believe I have what most African men want (use your imagenation because am not providing pictures cheesy )
The way you're going about this issue is sooooo wrong! Do you want to get married because your parents are putting pressure on you or you're ready for marriage? Trust me, if you're a good woman very soon a good man will notice you and everything will work out well. Your "earn more than R50, 000" demand is also funny. What will you do if he looses his job after you get married or he takes a pay cut? That's a recipe for disaster. You will meet your man, unfortunately when that happens he might be the direct opposite of what you want, it will take a great deal of wisdom to see the end from the beginning.

Please this is not an attempt at telling you to lower your standard, I'm just saying things like this happen naturally. DONT FORCE IT!

oluwaslim: i already did that but when i run npm search express, this is what i get:
"Error: 9784:error:1408F119:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:decryption failed or bad record mac:openssl\ssl\s3_pkt.c:485:"

if i run "npm install -g yo" i also get fetch failed

i cant seem to use npm to install anything:i've tried several things include installing several versions and my prsent version is v0.10.29.For my app i need to install yeoman and angular generator.

thanks in advance
You have to install express before you search for it. Run this commands from your node.js command prompt and tell me what you see

1. node -v (press enter)
2. npm -v(press enter)

If these two are ok you can now install express by running this command;

npm install -g express-generator (press enter) This will install express perfectly for you.

Download the latest node.js version here http://nodejs.org/download/. Once you install, node.js and npm will be 'sitting' comfortably in your system.

lekzzydo: chairman it's not evrybdy that will code to be a computer scientist. Computer science is vast such that it's not necessary you know about coding(writing programs). I could remember that my project was based on Business intelligence under Management Information System. @ master level u'll understand it better.
My brother I graduated with a Master's degree in Computing from RGU 18 months ago so your master level theory is wrong.

What you have written above implies you have a Master's degree too, am I right? Please explain to me and the other bunch of computer enthusiasts here how on earth you will 'battle' Business intelligence/MIS without a single line of code? Once you are done with that, please tell me the school you graduated from.

Thanks.

Nihilist: Mate I work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer and have absolutely NOTHING to do with coding of any kind.

Yes scripting is extremely useful....but is by no means the 'best way to prove skill in computing as you claimed earlier'
You work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer? What type of infrastructure? How does that infrastructure deal with security challenges? If you answer this question correctly, we will put this argument to bed "mate".
EducationRe: She Graduated With A CGPA Of 4.99 From Covenant University by Urine: 1:50pm On Jul 10, 2014
Nihilist: This is correct...

But this was not what you said earlier
This is a detailed explanation of what I said earlier. Let me give you a practical example. System Administration on the surface level doesn't involve coding, but to be ahead of the game and to rise above your peers, you have to be able to do stuff like writing a munin plugin. How will you do that if you can't script in perl etc?

Do you know Java can be used as a very interesting 'tool' in networking? I hope you get the gist?

rutchiekens: Don't mind his ignorance.. Imagine a comp. Sci. graduate having an interview at Google and does not know how to code.
His statement made me weak initially, but it's OUR duty to educate people like him because it's not his fault. How many Nigerian lecturers can 'handle' Java, node.js etc?
EducationRe: She Graduated With A CGPA Of 4.99 From Covenant University by Urine: 1:27pm On Jul 10, 2014
Nihilist: Errr No it is NOT!

Not everyone that studied Computing is remotely interested in programming undecided
If you are a true computing person, you must be "remotely interested" in Software Development, Database Management, System Administration or Networking. These are the core areas of study in school and there's no way you will get a computing job without being "remotely interested" in one of the above.

Op,

HTML = you are naked.

CSS = you have covered your unclothedness by wearing a very beautiful dress.

There's nothing like a HTML or CSS site, both work together.

Cordova is a mobile development framework.
Cassandra is a database.
Nosql is database specific commands and most are sql based.

fingard02k: Only one set of people (they know themselves) hate Phyno and all his songs.

Reason
1) They don't understand him because he doesnt speak their language.

2) He doesnt make noise like other but keep making big hits.

3) He is the best in the game

4) People love him esp His "Alobam"

5) He is the Man of the year
I'm 100% Yoruba and I love Phyno's music, these days I ask my Igbo friends to translate some lines for me. Phyno and Olamide on a track? The best ever! When Awilo Logomba was topping the chats, how many of us had an idea of what he was saying? Good music will always break the language barrier and Phyno is not an exception.

You my brother is the big anumanu for trying to put a limitation on Phyno's fan base. That said, Phyno nwane Chukwu gozie gi for giving us good music.
