I suspect lot of people who bought Windows Vista to install their outdated computer/laptop, which is not hardware compatible, they want to switch. Then suddenly change their mind to switch Windows XP back!!!

They don't bother to read the system specification requirement of Windows Vista to be matched on their computer/laptop FIRST. That's what happen they get too many issues on their computer/laptop stuck!!!

Windows Vista, Graphic/Image editing software, MS office suite, AutoCAD, video/music editing software and high quality computer gamer ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE very largest RAM memory chip at least 512MB to 3GB and largest hard disk drive at least 80GB to 320GB.

I will not switch to Windows Vista that was newly released already. . .rather to wait 6 months to one year Vista finished fixing error bugs/flaws. 

This time i FED UP WITH MICROSOFT products anymore, coming soon I will switch to Linux operating system.  I used 5 years ago but that XANDROS Linux distro was not popular anymore TODAY! Choose Ubuntu Linux is the one best of 10 HOTTEST TOP LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM from my Linux Distro Watch online.

REASON LOT OF PEOPLE SWITCH DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft memory consuming/eaten up, NUMEROUS OF WINDOWS UPDATES FREQUENTLY and VIRUS ATTACK they sick and tired of it!!!

TODAY: Still compete each other Linux, Microsoft, and Mac operating systems everywhere in the world.

Easy to use, functionality, user-friendly, consistency, and corporate standard around the world include can incorporate with other Adobe product: Flash, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other to export the Dreamweaver extension/files there. No problem!!!

I used to be MS FrontPage switching to Dreamweaver due to too many Microsoft FLAWS in FrontPage syntax errors not working for FireFox, Opera, etc. Not corporate standard, not friendly web accessible you have to add manually. That make me FURIOUS struggling to debug FrontPage TOO MANY TIMES.

That was 4 years ago, I DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH MS FRONTPAGE has changed. . .I refused accepting bad coding glitches on FRONTPAGE!!! Plus wasted my money taking 3-days MS FrontPage boot-camp training. I am self-taught learning Dreamweaver easy and faster, because Dreamweaver has inside helpline guide for FrontPage user to get familiar with Dreamweaver switching.

Can you imagine if you hire experienced FrontPage Developer then suddenly quits or dies, then you replace new experienced Dreamweaver Developer to clean up all FrontPage coding syntax not match with Dreamweaver coding syntax- - -TOO MUCH HEADACHE to modify, read, understand the existing sites that created by former FrontPage developer?     

Result, i believe that Dreamweaver Developer won't do anything with old FrontPage sites for re-develop/design, simply to link external files such as .PHP, .ASP, or other codes on the fly FrontPage web pages or create new Dreamweaver site replacing old ones.

Never mixed with two different web developers: FrontPage and Dreamweaver together!!! LOL!!!

Plus in my distance university where I earned my BFA degree in Visual Communications, there were over 200 students online ARGUE ABOUT MS FrontPage VS. Dreamweaver as part of our online classroom assignment. I enjoyed learning their voices AGAINST MS FRONTPAGE. I mean FrontPage-bashing!

Same idea for Adobe Photoshop VS. Corel Paint Shop Pro, again there was lot of bashing!

Different Designers/Developers on Different strokes!!! Personal Preferences!

Well, if i understand the problem, i guess you ought to first install Active Directory and if its a standalone server like Uspry1 rightly said, you should make it Domain Controller then you can reinstall DHCP and Authorize within the domain, also note that if you might need to install DNS and make it your primary DNS, else you would have some problems with Vista. If your clients or potential clients need to meet with you face to face on issues pertaining to money or payments then it makes sense for you to have an office.

With an office a client or a potential one will know where to locate you in case you disappear with his/her money.

Needless to say no serious company will risk paying a lot of money to you when they cannot see something to hold on to.

It is not about how good you are, it is about reducing the risks businesses take when contracting web projects out to web developers.

Getting an office is not compulsory but if you can please get one, there is no down side to it.

Again, work from home style is not that common here in Nigeria so we should understand that when comparing Nigeria to say US or UK where people work from home and it is considered ok.

For Windows Vista Setup:

When you run through the setup using the Vista DVD, it will ask you which language you wish to install. If it doesn't give you that option then you may have to ask Microsoft for another version of the image (or wherever you downloaded it from). If it doesn't offer you the language to change to english, then install Vista and you will be able to do it from the control panel using "Regional Settings"
