RomanceRe: A Word To The Ladies by uspry1(f): 2:38pm On Nov 16, 2007
When woman is too materistlic, too much nagging, or act childish, unaffectionate, don't know what her future will be, have no relationship/sexual experience before, telling guys what to do or too much demands, guys tend to avoid her.

Most guys prefer woman who is grown matured adult to take seriously responsibly taking care of herself, independence, and well-educated including know what she is doing and her goal/future will be. Also marriage-minded with set family values, doing her own housechore responsibly and does not live with her parent. Can talk open-minded to share about sexual compatibility shameless, and find the common interests/hobbies/sports the same as guys like to.

Good luck ladies to mend your attitudes making attractive toward guys!

This advice has been reviewed and reissued with an amendment to the Summary and the Safety and Security  section (abduction 21 October).  The overall level of the advice has not changed.

SUMMARY

We advise against all travel to the Niger Delta(Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers States, including Port Harcourt) and advise British nationals in these States to leave.  This is because of the very high risk of kidnapping, armed robbery and other armed attacks in these areas.  Since January 2006, 36 British nationals, (including one child), and more than 180 other foreign nationals have been kidnapped in the Niger Delta area, with one British national being killed.

We advise against all travel to riverine areas of Cross River State (i.e. the river and swamp locations on or close to, the coast accessible only by boat, but not by road).  We also advise against all but essential travel to Akwa Ibom State because of the high risk of kidnapping, armed robbery and other armed attacks.

If, despite this travel advice, you decide to travel to, or remain in, the Niger Delta or the riverine areas of Cross River State, you do so at your own risk.  Since 17 August 2007, a night time curfew has been in place in Port Harcourt. See the Terrorism/Security section of this advice for more details.

There is a high risk of kidnappings and other armed attacks in the Niger Delta to ships and oil-rigs at sea off the coast of the Delta.  In 2007 there has been an increase in attacks offshore.  There is also a risk of kidnapping in other States in south east Nigeria.  See the Sea Travel and Terrorism/Security sections of this advice for more details.

Localised outbreaks of civil unrest can occur at short notice.  Details and advice are circulated via the British High Commission's Community Liaison Officers' network.  We strongly advise British nationals staying in Nigeria for three months or more to register with the British High Commission.  See the General (Registration) section of this advice for more details.

The most common incidents for which British nationals required consular assistance in Nigeria in 2006, were attempts by scam artists to extract money.  Violent crime is also prevalent in the south of the country, including Lagos.  See the Crime (Scams) section of this travel advice for more details.

There is a general threat from terrorism in Nigeria.  There is reporting to suggest that terrorists may be planning attacks, which could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers such as Western official and commercial interests.  As a result the Nigerian authorities have reviewed security arrangements at Embassies and High Commissions in Abuja and Lagos.

Outbreaks of Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) in Nigeria have resulted in one human fatality.  See the Health (Avian Influenza) section of this advice and the Avian and Pandemic Influenza Factsheet for more details.

We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance before travelling.   You should check that your insurance company provides personal insurance cover for you in Nigeria, and that your policy covers you for all the activities you want to undertake.   Check any exclusions.  Please see: the General (Insurance) section of this advice and Travel Insurance for more details.

@kobojunkie

Great you talk about solar farm! However you should make aware the fact that last February 2007 i did try suggesting Nairalanders about proposing the wind-solar generators for their electricitifion resolution. Please read my peviously thread in the past where 50% of them were disagreed and another 50% of them agreed with me. Very few insulted me thinking that I was scammer because of my bad grammar writing skill. In fact that they, Nairalanders, did not know that i have hidden physical disability. It doesn't hinder my helping unfortunately people out making my dream become reality someday.

Here is link: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-40919.0.html

I presently work so hard researching online finding reasonable wind-solar generator prices. I found out that there has already established their own licensed solar-wind distributors locally in Nigeria as well as South Africa from USA and UK wind-solar generator manufacturer headquarters. I mean there are about 25 Nigeria/South Africa licensed solar-wind generator product distributors locally---but I find lot of resident/business Nigerians have complaint against local Nigeria/South Africa licensed solar-wind generator distributors on the ground of lousy customer service, defrauded and poor technicial support.

That mean I will have to create my own hybrid solar-wind generator presentation seminar simplified coming to Nigeria (specifically at Lagos hotel conference) to educate Nigerians how to avoid being ripped off from local solar-wind product distributors and take seriously responsibility of maintaining solar-wind generator system without relying on distributors after installed their solar-wind generator products at their home or business as well as to prepare for my feasibility study proposal to update my rough draft of my rural elelctrification system on hybrid solar-wind generator solution proposal.

Finally, I already have arranged accommodation by my Nigeria business partner and six business associates who support me all the way but I have not yet set the date when will I come to Nigeria as soon as I find a travel companionship---I HATE FLYING ALONE especially I am female and hidden physical disability I have. My business partner and associates HAVE NOT SEEN MY WRITTEN PROPOSAL, i refuse sending them personally in order to protect my idea. The fund will be come from the international microfinance investment as well as private venture capitalists.
TravelRe: What Does A Person Need To Apply For Passport/visa To U.s? by uspry1(f): 3:18pm On Nov 15, 2007
If you plan to invite Nigeria person come to the US, then following needs at below:

Nigeria person must apply himself/herself on Nigeria E-passport or E-visa with your letter of invitation (sponsorship authorization letter or guarantorship letter), your copies of 3 first-page valid passport, your proof of financial support via fax document, printed PDF document or mailing to bring them along with his/her proof of citizenship, bank statement/employment paystubs, and credible supporting documents at Passport/VISA interview appointment. (Email attachment are not acceptable). Nigeria person must pay the passport/VISA fee through Embassy-approved banks prior to the passport/VISA interview appointment due.

I recommend for Nigeria person going to American Embassy in Abuja for US Passport/VISA request better than in Lagos.

Nigeria Embassy will not ACCEPT paper Passport/VISA form, they prefer electronic Passport/VISA that will generate the bar-coded printing in the quality of anti-fraud Passport/VISA application improvement.
TravelRe: What Does A Person Need To Apply For Passport/visa To U.s? by uspry1(f): 3:04pm On Nov 15, 2007
I cannot help you answering your question, because there are different types of Passport/VISA you are applying for and varies fees to pay for whether you are single, married, engaged/to-be married, and/or have children/family that requires to apply separate Passport/VISA application per person.

You should make aware the fact that all spouse, family/relative, children and babies if you plan them to travel with you that are required to apply for passport/VISA each person per application separately. You also pay separate fees for each Passport/VISA application for your spouse, family/relative, children/baby individually. All of them are required to be presented for Passport/VISA interview appointment in order to get fingerprinting and/or biometrics if grant passport/visa.

TravelRe: How Can Someone Living Abroad Obtain The New E-passport? by uspry1(f): 8:49pm On Nov 13, 2007
I do not know how long will the passport be processed once the Embassy grants your application. As @jacq has said it took 2 days. Some other took two weeks by mail. Some used 3-days fastest express (it costs extra cost, check with your Embassy site on that rate).

I recommend you the best to obtain E-passport application at least 2-3 months in advance before your reserved travel itnerary due. It will give you more time to double-check packing your things while waiting for your finalized passport to be picked up.

Once you pick up your passport, then you are ready to go to the airport FINALLY AT LAST!!!!!

After you completed filling out the E-passport application online, it will automatically prompt you to the next Passport interview appointment schedule page that displays the specified date and time you MUST APPEAR at the SPECIFIED LOCATION of Embassy/Consulate office. It will tell you to bring required documents as follow below:
[li]printed bar-coded Passport application[/li]
[li]printed confirmed travel itinerary[/li]
[li]two identical Passport photo[/li]
[li]Sponsorship Authorization Letter[/li]
[li]Proof of Identification[/li]
[li]Proof of Citizenship[/li]
[li]Passport application fee[/li]
If you have children you plan to travel with you, you must apply special E-passport application for each children, separated application fees and bring all of your children's proof of citizenship and your children's identical passport photos individually.

If you are married to bring your spouse travelling with you, you must apply special application for married couples and bring your proof of marriage certificate.

After you confirmed the online Passport interview appointment, you will be asked for printing it out and bring it with you at the your interview appointment due. It will tell you to prepare to pay the exact amount of Passport application fee at the specified Embassy-approved banks or other payment agency prior to your interview appointment due.

By the time your Passport interview is due, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE APPEAR face to face interview along with printed bar-coded E-passport application, credible supporting documents, and required proof of identification. If Embassy grants your E-passport, you will be told where to get E-passport and how long to get it. If Embassy declines your E-passport, they will tell you the reason why they reject your E-passport and your fee will not be REFUNDABLE!!!

It helps all Embassy/Consulate to eliminate the FRAUD PASSPORT and to reduce the paperwork FASTER if you follow their instruction how to obtain E-passport properly.

If you are in the US, the E-passport procedure is QUITE DIFFERENT than above mentioned. Check with your real US government-sponsored immigrant site or US official licensed passport expediter site where to obtain E-passport application.

The primary purpose of the marriage is
[li]beyond happiness, sexual expression, the bearing of children, companionship, mutual care, provision and/or anything else is to please God;[/li]
[li]the real transforming work of marriage is the twenty-four hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week commitment;[/li]
[li]for this reason, a man will leave his father and mother, be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery to the Christ and the Church I say because of the high rate of divorce everywhere in the world.[/li]

2. For business purpose, to arrange a meeting in person in different place.

3. To go university or church in different city.

4. To attend your school class reunion, baby shower party, bachelor/bachelorette party in differnt place away from your current resident.

5. To attend your friend's wedding or funeral in different place.

6. Your boss send you going to different branch for meeting or picking up important document or whatever it is.

7. To bring your sick one or pregnant one to the hospital in emergency far away from your home.

RomanceRe: 1st Heartbreak by uspry1(f): 11:09pm On Oct 21, 2007
My first heartbreak was way way back 24 years ago with longtime sweetheart then engaged bf that we planned to get married as soon as he graduated from secondary school while i was sophomore college student.

He (19 yr old) dumped me (18 yr old) for 15 yr old virgin girl at same alma mater secondary school. I remembered it was hell painful hurt my feeling----my dream shattered into many pieces. Because we together were 4 years relationship all those year, we both met both families together. Everyone in school knew us.

Yeah, both families, friends, and even our pastors on both side(my home and his home) SHOCKED about breakup and felt so disgusted with him---of course hell furious at him.

I will never go back with him EVER AGAIN!

Guess what? What happen to him now 24 years later? He is HIV-positive, drug-addict, and have too many health problems---menatality, he was not the same guy like 24 yr ago. That's too bad he never see what I am doing. Yes, he heard lot about me thru class reunion he avoided to go, felt ashamed and embarrassed for the rest of his life thinking about---could have me if he marry me. Nope he does not have job, nothing at all, just potato couch or freeloader.

Stick with P4 and newer processors!!!
WebmastersRe: Implementing A Paypal Payment System? by uspry1(f): 8:30pm On Oct 21, 2007
Cited by GoldOasis.co.za (South Africa)
Keep in your mind that PayPal do support South Africa PayPal users, not support Nigeria.

What is PayPal?

Paypal is an online payment system that enables its users to send money online, using their credit/debit card, funds from their bank account or Paypal account balance. Paypal also serves as an online wallet that enables users to to save online, and even invest in the Money Market (US users only). Paypal users can also receive money online and later withdraw it to their local or US bank account, request for a cheque from Paypal, or withdraw funds using a Paypal debit card or shop online.

Features offered by Paypal vary from country to country. For example, local bank withdrawal is unavailable to users in Malaysia (who however can withdraw to a US bank account), but is available to users in Singapore. Many countries (including South Africa) can only send money via Paypal, and do not have the privilege of receiving funds via Paypal.

Paypal is available to users in only 190 countries and the US-based company lays claim to over 100 million accounts. This makes Paypal a must for any serious online merchant. Leading online stores like Dell, Skype, ebay etc accept funds via Paypal.

Another good feature of Paypal is that it shields your financial payment information (credit/debit card and or bank account details) to a large extent. You only need to store your financial information with Paypal, and do not need to share it with merchants or other Paypal users since all you need to complete a transaction is your email address (one attached to Paypal) and Paypal account password when making payment.

Paypal is not without downsides. Users contend that Paypal does not pay interest on the money it stores on behalf of its users though it earns interest on such money in its own bank accounts. Others point out to the fact that all a crook needs is your Paypal-attached email address and account password to gain access and wipe out your account balance. I can however point out that going by Paypal™'s huge responsibility of securing over 100 million accounts, various security checks & balances are in place to reduce the incidence of fraud to the barest minimum. The security measures I know of are too innumerable for me to list here.

How can Paypal be of use to you?

Your use of Paypal will depend on what exactly you intend to do online. Are you an online shopper, a small-time seller or a full-blown merchant? Paypal has something for you.

Personal Accounts: This allows users to send/receive money online for free but receiving credit/debit card payment is limited to 5 times a year and attracts charges higher than Premier/Business accounts.

Premier Accounts: This allows users to access the following: eBay Tools, Merchant Services, Accept credit or debit cards, PayPal ATM/Debit Card.

Business Accounts: This functions basically as a Premier account with the added benefit of being able to do business in the name of your company and also provide multiple access (with varying degree of control) to the Paypal account.

According to Paypal™'s website, PayPal allows members to have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account. However, each PayPal account must contain unique email addresses and financial information. You may upgrade your account at any time.
WebmastersRe: Implementing A Paypal Payment System? by uspry1(f): 8:19pm On Oct 21, 2007
@niyyie

I said PayPal is a free merchant account provider (payment processing account provider), i talk about upfront merchant account application requirement. Most merchant account providers require upfront fee to screen your business profile and credit background before approval allowing your business to transact all credit card payments/ACH electronic checks.

Ok, you insisted that PayPal is not a MERCHANT ACCOUNT PROVIDER.  Why PayPal has credit card icons (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, bank e-check) to accept payment processing system on their business e-commerce sites just like most other merchant account providers? Not only for sending and receiving money?
