I also knew a girl and her family back in the days.She just finished secondary school and me still in the uni.She was so damn good and from such a good family. She wasn't loose like most girls in her area. I tried to get close to her and her family but her mama says it's not ok because the girl was just a teenager and still innocent bla bla bla. It is grossly unfortunate that the average Nigerian is very poor at trend analysis and using figures obtained from facts to make deductions. The west whom you worship through their ways of life and religions has much higher divorce rates than Nigeria. They tell you a woman and her husband are equal.The more they push the equality,the more the divorce rates climb.Now it's tending to half of all marriages in the west breaking up.

In the west and other highly individualistic societies,more money=more happiness. But in many other non western styled societies,preserving their heritage gives them more happiness than increase in GDP. Can't we respect that ?

Iranian authorities sentenced Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani to 99 lashes after the Times published a picture purportedly of her without a headscarf, the British Broadcasting Corporation reports.

The Times later published a correction, saying the photograph was of a different Iranian woman.

After an international outcry, Iranian officials temporarily halted Ashtiani’s stoning sentence in July.

There are fears that the death sentence could still be carried out by hanging.

Ashtiani’s son had given several interviews saying he was told of the new sentence of 99 lashes by people who were recently released from the prison in Tabriz where his mother is being held.

On August 28, the Times published a picture it said was of Ashtiani that it had obtained from one of her lawyers.

The lawyer, Mohammad Mostafei, who has fled Iran, said he received the picture from her son, Sajad Ghaderzadeh - a claim Ghaderzadeh denies.

Ghaderzadeh said the new sentence was “an excuse to increase (the authorities’) harassment of our mother.”

In an open letter, he said his mother had been sentenced to receive 99 lashes “on false charges of spreading corruption and indecency by disseminating this picture of a woman presumed to be her without hijab.”

He said he did not believe the sentence had been carried out but that her family and lawyer had not been allowed to visit her for two weeks and she had not been allowed to use a telephone.

Ghaderzadeh said the family was appealing against the sentence.

In May 2006, a criminal court in East Azerbaijan province found Ashtiani guilty of having had an “illicit relationship” with two men following the death of her husband. She was given 99 lashes.

But that September, during the trial of a man accused of murdering her husband, another court reopened an adultery case based on events that allegedly took place before her husband died.

We must respect the fact that their society seriously frowns at adultery by a woman and do not take it with the levity of the west.
That law operates in that society and everybody must abide by it. It seems most people in the west do not see anything wrong in telling another country how to run it's internal affairs.

I am not in support of stoning to death or the 99 lashes BS but for fork's sake she is f****king aware of the f***king law and she f***king broke it. So,she should face the f***king consequences.

All pasts are not the same.Some do not have any lasting evidences and some do.
If you have a past with a lasting evidence (such as unclothed pix/videos on peoples phones or children with known or unknown fathers,inability to have children due to womb damage after several abortions,etc) then you must honestly tell him o_{r at least someone very close to him}.
She claims to still be a virgin means she is up to something very criminal.

Thanx for your points, advice and insights. Ive been thinkin about what u said and i see real true sense in it. If this lady can afford to spend btw £15 to £25k just to do a "re-virgin" operation to cover her tracks, then she must be capable of a whole lot more. What if i sent an anonymous tip, or mail with the video to my friend and own up to it long after d dust had settled (maybe years) whateva d outcome? My only worry is that it would definately destroy the new life she is trying to build and dat of many others connected to both of them. This is my present decision, should i go wit it.

This is a serious issue IMO. I am amazed at the quick response of those who ave advised you to squeal her secrets to your friend. What makes you think she won't turn your friend against you when it all comes down? What makes you think your friend won't turn on you for wanting to spoil his happiness n what makes you think your friend would be happy with you if you show him proofs about his FIANCEE not girlfriend oh! Besides how do you know the girl won't hunt you for the rest of her life if you expose her secrets?

Ma best bet would be for you to ignore both of them. Do not even join issues with the girl in question. If he eventually finds out, I am sure he'll hate you but then you'd make him realize it was for the best.

Good.Elect Engr has many subcategories.If you plan to get into the Infotech subcategory then you only need to finish your BscEd and do at least one professional certifications (Cisco,Oracle,Microsoft,etc) which is directly related to the career you wanna pursue.Infotech employers care little about what you studied. There is more emphasis on your ability to do the job and a professional certification is the easiest way for you to prove that you can do the job.
If,however you choose some other subcategories such as power or instrumentation you may have to go for a new jamb as that is your surest way of breaking into such a field.

Your age of at graduation of your first degree is important.The younger you are the better.So,i will advise that you finish your BScEd and go into Infotech where there is no discrimination about what you studied as long as you are certified.

You should have re-written JAMB _{and chosen another school} after your 100L.By now,you will be in 100L engineering.You would have lost just 2 years.You can still do it now if you do not mind the time that will be wasted.But it is better to finish the BscEd since you are on a good grade now.But note this:
