eddiebruk: This is actually true, it happened to me in Warri some early March, i stopped at a filling station just to get petrol of 1500 that will enable me get to NNPC filling station so that i can get my tank filled at a considerable rate and the guy went ahead, ran the machine as if he was putting some petrol in my tank just because i was looking away i didn't notice, unknown to him that my meter was already on reserve, after driving for about 3mins my petrol meter still didn't rise, i had to revise back to the service station, by this time i didn't know my friend who was with me was already furious about the whole thing, but he didn't say a word until we got there, on reaching there i asked the guy that how much petrol did he put in my tank, and he said 500, i was shocked, before i could say another word, my friend has given this guy a very hot slap that threw him to the ground, it was the intervention of the Manager that rescued this guy that day, we had to demand for our money back and they gladly gave it back.

The Westminster City Council warden put a £80 penalty notice on a silver Mercedes vehicle (centre) in Central London which had taken former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton (left) to an event at Chatham House. The row was caught on camera by photographer Greg Brennan, who said five of her guards were waiting inside a Mercedes van next to her car at the time because it was raining. The warden then arrived and put a ticket on the car, prompting her security detail to jump out of the van in protest (right), Mr Brennan said.

She had earlier arrived in a motorcade of five cars with around 10 security agents, Mr Brennan told MailOnline. Her car was parked in a bay on St James's Square in Mayfair, which costs £3.30 per hour.

The warden then arrived and put a ticket on the car which had transported 65-year-old Mrs Clinton to the event, prompting her security detail to jump out of the van in protest, Mr Brennan said.

Divorce breaks the hearts of those involved - couples, children, parents, friends, church, and the heart of God. One of the greatest underlying events destroying marriages today is adultery. The following is a frank and spiritual message on how to save a marriage after an affair.

My fervent passion is in saving marriages and making them healthy and holy again. I encourage you to at least make a commitment not to remain at a disinterested distance when couples you love have their lives coming apart.

So let's get started.

To better understand extramarital affairs, I sorted them into three categories.

1. The Short-Lived Affair lasts from one night to several months and is primarily about sex. Subcategories included Revenge Affairs, Affairs of Opportunity (at the right place at the right time to do the wrong thing), Self-Esteem Booster Affairs, and more.

2. The Allowed Affair has become more prevalent with the graying of morality in our culture. It was once called "Swinging" and now its participants just call it "The Lifestyle."

3. The most difficult kind of affair to overcome is the Relationship Affair. It typically starts as friendship that evolves into shared emotions and eventually shared bodies. Those in Relationship Affairs usually are in love with each other. Madly in love.

This is why so many Relationship Affairs lead to divorce - no matter how strongly you tell the person that s/he is sinning and no matter how hard the abandoned spouse tries to save the marriage. Because of such passages as Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9, churches usually grant the offended spouse the right to start over with a new mate, and few blame him or her for moving on with life.

May I offer another possibility?

Wouldn't it be better for everyone - the cheated, cheater, children, church, and community - if there were a way to rescue the straying spouse, heal the hurts, and guide husband and wife back to a marriage of love and commitment? We in the marriage business know that if a marriage survives an affair, it will be stronger and more loving than it was before the affair.

Salvaging a marriage when a spouse is in love with someone else usually isn't accomplished by pointing the adulterer to scripture, logic, or consequences. If I had space, I'd explain why. The short version is that they are driven by strong and compelling emotions that they're convinced you don't understand. Therefore, they disregard you, along with your Bible, lectures, and piety. Very often they'll even tell you that God sent the lover to them.

So how do you save these marriages?

Based on my experience, I suggest the following to the abandoned spouse and to all attempting to help:

1. Believe that an affair, even an exceptionally strong Relationship/Love Affair, is not necessarily the end of a marriage. It may be, but it doesn't have to be. Don't give up. Keep praying and doing the right things, no matter how hopeless it may seem.

2. Don't beg, cajole, or attempt to manipulate the adulterer. S/he is already emotionally on edge; emotional actions from you exacerbate the situation. Be firm, but always loving and calm.

3. Don't try to convince him or her that the lover is a bad person or primarily responsible for the affair. That might work in a Short-Lived Affair. However, it typically causes a person in a Relationship Affair to develop an "us against the world" union with the lover.

4. Drag out any divorce proceedings as long as possible. The intense emotions involved with being "madly in love" last anywhere from six to thirty-six months. Though the straying spouse may become angry and try to manipulate the abandoned spouse into divorce ("I'll make things tougher for you if you don't go along with me ...", the abandoned spouse should be strong, endure the other's wrath, and drag it out as long as possible. There is a very real possibility that the abandoning spouse will eventually lose the intensity of desire to be with the lover. Don't give up!

5. The abandoned spouse should demonstrate his or her ability to survive and prosper without the abandoning spouse. S/he must concentrate on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. This accomplishes two things. 1) The abandoned spouse needs this for him- herself. 2) The abandoning spouse often is drawn back to the abandoned spouse when s/he continues to be strong and self-sufficient.

6. In fervent prayer, ask God to bring chaos, financial distress, and anything else He will do to cause pain as a result of the sinner's actions and to create circumstances so that it is difficult for him or her to continue in the affair.

7. The abandoned spouse should procure an attorney that will protect his or her rights, finances, and the like. The attorney should make the divorce as painful as possible - financially and otherwise - to the abandoning spouse while still protecting the interests of the abandoned spouse. Expect the abandoning spouse to react with anger. However, making sin have strong negative consequences is the right thing to do.

8. The church should practice discipline, though in our day and age that hasn't nearly the effect it had in biblical times. It's so easy now to walk down the street and go to another church. However, if done in love and compassion, it still may have the needed effect.

9. Practice intervention. (If you need more information on how to do this, contact us and we'll send you a PDF with step by step details.)

10. Convince the straying spouse to take one last action before ending the marriage. Sometimes the abandoned spouse does this by offering a concession such as, "I'll give on this point in the divorce if you do this." Sometimes a friend, church leader, or even the person's child may convince him or her that, for conscience sake, s/he should do one more thing to see if there is any hope for the marriage.

In my weekend turnaround workshop for marriages in crisis, LovePath 911, we have many couples who come because someone convinced the abandoning spouse to attend for conscience sake or to get some concession. Over nearly a decade, we've witnessed one seemingly hopeless marriage after another turn around during that weekend. They don't have to want to be there; they just have to be there.

Whether you use our services, your own counselors, or someone else, the message is the same. We must not give up on marriages because we think that either spouse is beyond rescuing. Don't give up on the power of God and what He can do if only we do our parts.

A sister of President Goodluck Jonathan's Special Assistant on Research and Strategy, Mr. Oronto Douglas, was kidnapped by gun men on Monday night in Ogbia, the President’s Local Government area in Bayelsa State.

The victim, Augusta Douglas Ayam, who runs a shop at her residence in Ogbia, is reported to have been picked up in her home by the abductors.

The kidnappers were said to have arrived, shooting into the air to scare people away. They then seized Augusta and took her away in a boat to an unknown destination in the creeks.

Sources at the Joint Task Force headquarters in Yenagoa confirmed that the incident has been reported. A manhunt for the kidnappers has been launched.

The family of Gabriel Soriwei, a Nigerian student who was killed in the North Cyprus city of Nicosia, has cried out to President Goodluck Jonathan and the leadership of the National Assembly to help in their quest for justice.
Soriwei, 20, was a first year student of Electrical/Electronic/Engineering at the Cyprus International University in Nicosia when he was knocked down by a female driver on July 13, 2013.
The student fell into a coma and eventually died on September, 7. On September 12, the authorities of the Cyprus International University flew his remains to his family through the same Turkish Airline by which he had arrived in that country in February to clear as cargo.
While the family says it has accepted the reality of the painful loss of their, child, they say his death has raised some issues about the value placed on the life of the Nigerian outside the shores of this country.
“First, neither the Cyprus International University nor the family of the woman who drove the car that killed Gabriel has found it necessary to at least write to the family to condole with us on the death of this young man who until his death was contributing to the economy of Cyprus by paying school fees as a foreign student,” they said in a statement signed by his father, Patrick Soriwei.
They described as “unjust” the fact that the authorities of Cyprus are hiding the identity of the woman who killed Gabriel, noting that the Cypriot police insisted that it was the practice in their country to ensure that such a person was shielded from the family of the victim.
“The police told the father of the deceased, Mr. Patrick Soriwei, during a visit to Nicosia that the Turkish woman lost control of the vehicle which knocked down Gabriel. It was however gathered that the woman was drunk even though we have no proof of it. The police said that the woman was detained for three days and released.”
Similarly, the family said that its investigations revealed that the Cyprus International University, which was said to be pursuing the case and which is host to about 700 Nigerian students, has shown lack of interest in the issue. Several entreaties made to the school authorities to send the belongings of the late Gabriel to Nigeria have been ignored.
“We have informed the Nigerian Embassy in Cyprus and the mission there does not seem to see this screaming demand to defend the rights of Nigerians in a foreign country as a priority.

“The best the Nigerian Mission in Ankara has done was to send one Uche to the university to find out the cause of the death. The Mission has not rendered the necessary assistance in getting the police to write a report on his death. This delay in writing this report, we believe, is inspired by a plot to subvert the process of justice in this matter.”
The family said it has therefore written to President Jonathan and the leadership of the National Assembly, with copies of the letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Turkish Embassy in Nigeria, and others.
“While the Soriwei family intends to pursue this matter to the best of our abilities, we urge the Federal Government and all Nigerians of good conscience to come to our aid in the search for justice over the killing of this innocent Nigerian child,” it said, adding that the life of a Nigerian child should be treated more decently than that of a stray animal.

“The situation doesn't seem to be different in this case.”

The U.S. Army recently commissioned an Iron Man-like suit that would give soldiers superhuman abilities such as enhanced strength and night vision.
The armor, known as a Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit, would even be able to protect soldiers from gun fire, much like the suit Tony Stark wears in the Iron Man comics.
"The Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit, or TALOS, is an advanced infantry uniform that promises to provide superhuman strength with greater ballistic protection," wrote the army in a press release.
Every one of them would also have an on-board computer that is able to instantly respond to certain situations and provide the wearer with enhanced situational awareness.
The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command is currently submitting proposals for the suit.
"There is no one industry that can build it," said SOCOM Senior Enlisted Advisor Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Faris during a panel discussion at a conference at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
The request has been posted on Federal Business Opportunities as the Army is seeking out technology demonstration submissions from research and development organizations, private industry, individuals, government labs and academia to support the command-directed requirement issued by Adm. William McRaven, a USSOCOM commander.
"The requirement is a comprehensive family of systems in a combat armor suit where we bring together an exoskeleton with innovative armor, displays for power monitoring, health monitoring, and integrating a weapon into that-a whole bunch of stuff that RDECOM is playing heavily in," said Lt. Col. Borjes.
TALOS will also have a physiological subsystem that lies directly against the skin that is embedded which monitors body temperature, skin temperature, heart rate, body position and hydration levels.
They hope to have the new armor fully developed within three years' time.

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Two Somali suicide bombers who had planned to kill football fans during Ethiopia's World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria on Sunday blew themselves up accidentally before carrying out the attack, the Ethiopian government said on Monday.

The explosion on Sunday happened in the upscale Bole district of the capital, about 5 km (3 miles) from Addis Ababa Stadium where thousands of fans were gathering for the match.

"They were Somali nationals and plotted to carry out a suicide attack disguised as fans on either the stadium or areas where large crowds gathered to watch the game," government spokesman Shimeles Kemal said.

Explosives, arms, hand grenades and football shirts were found at the scene of the blast, at a residential address an hour before kick-off, Shimeles said. Three suspects were detained. The Bole district has a small Somali refugee community.

"Heavy police presence must have caused their nervousness and state of agitation which led to the detonation that caused their own death," Shimeles said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Somalia's al Shabaab Islamist rebels have vowed to exact revenge on Ethiopia for sending troops to Somalia to fight the al Qaeda-linked militants, alongside African Union forces from Uganda, Burundi and Kenya.

Ethiopia says it has thwarted attacks over the past two years which it has blamed on domestic rebel groups as well as the Somali insurgents.

However, it has so far been spared the sorts of attacks carried out in nearby countries - such as the siege at the Nairobi mall last month and an attack on football fans in Uganda in 2010.

An impeccable military source has confirmed to SaharaReporters that a combined team of Nigerian soldiers, police, and operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) has rounded up top Boko Haram ‘commanders’ after combing several locations in Kaduna State this week.
The source said the captured Boko Haram “commanders” were the brains behind a series of violent attacks carried out in the state in recent weeks. He added that they were caught as they planned to launch new attacks in the town of Kaduna during the Sallah festivities.
The military source stated that security operatives recovered extensive incriminating evidence from the captured leaders of the extremist Islamist leaders. “We got evidence from them to suggest their direct affiliation with Boko Haram and also that they were part and parcel of the recent attacks,” he said.   
The source also disclosed that his combined team also captured several foot soldiers of the Boko Haram sect, adding that they were under interrogation.
The joint military-SSS raid that netted the Boko Haram members was carried out in the Rigasa District in Kaduna State.
“The operations brought us face to face to the reality that we must intensify our operations. We are using patrols and other strategies we will not talk about now to contain any plans by them [Boko Haram] during Sallah festivities,” the military officer said.
Last Sunday, suspected Boko Haram sect members ambushed a policeman. They shot him dead, and then escaped with his rifle.

arrangements with a Chinese firm to
construct a 140 megawatts state independent
power plant.

Briefing journalists in Abuja, the state governor,
Alhaji Isa Yuguda explained that the project will
cost $201m and will be completed in nine months.

Governor Yuguda added that the Chinese EXIM
bank is providing the funds, which the state will
pay back over a period of twenty five years.

The federal government has provided a sovereign
guarantee for the project.

The governor added that sixty per cent of the
power generated from the plant will be delivered to
the national grid while the remaining 40 per cent
will be distributed within the state.

It will be recalled that governor Isa Yuguda
sometime in February this year expressed optimism
that an Independent Power Plant, IPP, would soon
be established in the state.

Yuguda, who was in the delegation led by the
Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Nweala which
visited China, said the trip would soon yield positive
dividends as the proposed IPP would be built in the
state.

Since corruption is already endemic in all spheres of our nation and our social strata, its easy to grease hands n shun safety...d men n women who approve these flying coffins re Nigerians lyk us and go home to families at the end of the day...they ve sold their conscience for leftover porridge.
