I have closely followed this crop of Presidential candidates and all of them are lost bare non.


Atiku, Moghalu, Ezekwesili seem to have some bearing.

Sowore is an addicted activist who is clearly trivialising our problems.

Dorotye is just spewing ideas, theories and wishful thinking.

Buhari has done his worst and is too arrogant to try anything new.

Most of us like the blame game. These political wanabeees keep lamenting about youths, as if their should be some collective annointing to give power charitably.

Power is tough and treacherous anywhere in the world. It is the duty of a politicians to galvanise the so called youths, build national political structures, market their craft with business seriousness and simply win!

But in my experience - sheer will for change is the major ingredient for change. What good leaders have in common is the desire for positive change. Look at Ghandi, Martin Luther, Obama, Nd even our own Yaradua.

May be Obama alone is that methodic n the sense you are alluding to - Buh usually it’s the hunger for change that propelled their success. I don’t see that hunger in Atiku/Buhari - they are bunch of greedy men. And the thing is we can’t keep doing the same thing over and expect a different result. I say try new hands.

Showing these problems is enough reason to question why we are not trying new hands.

I wish the youths can really stop and rethink the recycling of old leaders who made a shipwreck of our country: with all their shambles working policy which still leave Nigerians deprived of basic life amenities.

Nigeria is really messed up and tbh no one should have any reason not to ACTIVELY CAMPAIGN AND VOTE FOR these new guys: Even if they don’t end up winning - we would know we at least made efforts to provide a better life for our children.

I so dislike the whole Atiku/Buhari stance - they all don’t care about the common man on the streets.

Atiku and Obasanjo mismanaged lots of FG’s owned assets and failed to pay Nigerian Airways staff their meagre pensions.

That’s just one in many of their ills.

But these new guys don’t hold a chance under this current structure of godfatherism. The problem is that election is won at the grassroot level (local level corruption) - and to get the elites - you need a sound economic and foreign policy template that is clear and workable.

I doubt they possess any. The best bet is to go for the guy that makes the promises of restructuring and will “implement same by devolving lots of power to lower tiers “. Until then - I fear the whole recycling is bound to continue - as long as the centre is so attractive!

Infrastructures like this are important for FDIs into the SE and SS.

Airports have to be world standard everywhere in the world. In London alone, there are up to 5 major airports.

That’s not to say you are wrong abt the roads - Buh the current structure is too bad. Roads should be the responsibilities of local governments. Citizens shouldn’t expect federal governments to build their local roads for them.

I think you are wrong on this. Social media is the best place to get any attention on governance matters in Nigeria. Imagine reporting Ganduje’s bribe to the state house or police or Efcc; nothing will be done and it will be swept away before investigations even begin.

It’s not that simple. Facebook is a listed company... there are stringent Sec rules towards transperancy, independence and accountability that it must abide by. Moreover, you need the confidence of your present investors to garner more investors.

Successful business are successful because they understand rules of business.

This are actually places where institutions work. That being said, the case is dead on arrival.

Yu will be surprised she will most likely win the case. Usually cases without merits don’t get to make trials at all in the UK. They are usually thrown off or settled out of court. I am sure the plaintiff brought the case under the Consumer Protection Act. The Act is really Draculian. It imposes huge duty of care on suppliers and producers of consumer goods and the liability is grevious when their products causes harm or death.

I am not qualified to practice law in Nigeria but claims for murder are not brought by individuals. They are brought by the State itself, at no cost to the victim’s family. Murder is a crime against the state not the person.

It’s not stupendous, she has a highly legitimate claim. She just bought it two weeks before the incident. There are higher thresholds on supplier and producers of consumer goods in the UK (and EU generally) - especially when they cause harms.

There is actually no intention to hate. Identifying with a region does not make the person an indigenous member. It’s just like Nigerians who acquire foreign citizenships. Being a member of a class and having originate from there are mutually exclusive. Hear her speak then you can tell the difference.

Btw I have nothing against northerners or any tribe in Nigeria. I don’t have the time for such, Cos it adds nothing to my life. I only come here to catch up with Nigerian news, make intelligent comments and that’s all.

An unfortunate road accident claimed the lives of not less than eighteen (18) people yesterday Wednesday, 10th of October 2018 in Gombe state. 

The victims, residents of the same village of Jimin (Darazo Local Govt of Bauchi state), were on their way to attend a weekly market day of Dukku town of Gombe state before the fatal accident. 

Report has it that all the victims were married men, leaving behind various numbers of wives and children.

The corpse of the deceases have already been buried at the Darazo Cemetery in accordance with the Islamic injunctions.

This man and his ministry must have wasted a lot of public funds branding and selling the Air Nigeria idea to the world, only to announce again that it cannot be implemented.

In a sane country, someone should be held responsible and made to refund the wasted funds on projects they knew they could not finance.

The ministry is as good as useless. Nothing stops them from running local carriers first. You don’t walk on the same day you are born. A sane country should have at least one national carrier.
