Let me chip in a piece of advice for doctors planning to migrate to Canada,Canada is not your best choice if you really want to continue practising.UK is better as you have the opportunity of practising both in Canada and Australia if you do residency training in Family Medicine in UK.

All you need to do is write PLAB and within 6 to 9 months,you should be done with it then you can apply for Trust Grade jobs which are readily available.Once you start working,you can sit for residency exams in Family Medicine and if you pass,you can start your training.If you are lucky,you can even get a bursary of £12.5k after tax for training in some areas.While training,you can apply for Express Entry and this gives you the opportunity of practising in Canada as a Family Physician or moving to Australia and practising as a GP too.Right now,Australia seems to have more perks in terms of pay and weather compared to Canada.

All the best in your pursuit but always look at the. long term when making these decisions.

I was one of the many people that has always dreamed of how long my epistle was going to be. I had recited and gone over so many ways to announce my ppr. Alas it is here and my words fail me. All I can say is that I thank the one who has done exceeedinly above my every expectations.
Secondly, I want to also thank the RNs in the house who took their time to point me in the right direction. Also thank you all for your moral support and all the wonderful testimonies that keeps us hopeful.

You can use ices or iqas
ICES
Cons...You would pay for each certificate ie nursing 200 and midwifery 200 dollars
Pro......assessment would be completed in about 5weeks

Iqas
Cons.....it takes at least 4mths ro get the assessment back
Pros......its just 200 no matter how many certs.

So your choice would depend on how much time you have.
To determine how much time you have, go to page one and read it all up.

You fill all required and for residence it's the USA and you put in her US address. It's not gonna ask for her immigration status in the US.

Residence means where she currently lives.

Her immigration history has no bearing 9n how your application would be treated. But you should definately add her so she can stand a chance of claiming points when you become a PR.
Also a few pages back someone said that they personally got a 10year ban and were truthful about it and has already gotten ppr before people with a clean immigration history.
If for some reason you don't add her, you can never add her again. That is officially in canada, you are not a twin.
I don't think your want to gi that route.
She doesnt also need to be in Nigeria before u can add her. While filling your PR application, it's just her name and doB you would likely fill. No other information about your relative is requested.

That's a generalization and it's very judgmental without considering individual stories. Personally my official age is higher than my actual.

Type ICES ECA evaluation and detailed process pops out.However,click on *apply now*, fill in your details,your reference number with A000.....,will be displayed,take note of that then after filling it,scan and upload original B.sc or whatever degree you have in coloured as well as your international passport.There is a placeholder for each document.Of you are married,upload your marriage certificate in the placeholder for*others* this is important to prove the reason for discrepancy for the names in your certificate and international passport.

Go ahead to make payment with debit card as it is accepted notwithstanding their website specifically said only credit card is accepted.Courier fee for Canadian address is $26 while international address is$75.

Then for official transcript,your school *must* send it to ICES through the school's official email address or they can courier it to ICES.Official school email address should not be yahoo or gmail.

I would suggest you follow up with your school so that once the transcript is ready,you can create an ICES acccount,submit then send the reference no to your school to submit the next day or so.

They only send acknowledgement of documents,and completion of ECA to your email or you can log in to your account to see it too.

Once your school sends your transcript to ICES,send them a mail to confirm receipt and you will get response within 48 hrs.Goodluck guys.

The whole process was 5weeks.

It does count as a misrepresentation solely because your answer to the question of do u have a spouse or common law partner was "NO".

If you put yes and indicated him as non accompanying then that's a totally different ball game but am guessing you didnt.

I dont think it is feasible because a common law partner by definition in canada implies that you have been living with the said individual for at least 1-2yrs and have Bill's or kids in common.

This would imply that the person must have already been you partner BEFORE you submitted your AOR. Thus, not declaring it was a misrepresentation of your facts at the time of AOR.

You can choose to do a court wedding at any point within your application and add your spouse without any recourse.

Not just prove the relationship but also prove that it happened after your AOR.

So if you're to calculate the 2yrs validity of your result, do you count from the test date or the date the result was issued ?

It is counted from the test date.

My question is can I go into nursing or any other health related programme in canada without chemistry and biology.

Well in some schools you may be required to take the high school equivalent of chem and biology at the university as pre requisites to the year 1 courses.

Canada has universal health insurance, meaning basic care needs and basic medications are covered for all PRs and Canadians. You could also purchase extra insurance to cover dental and vision care. This could be part of a work benefit if you have a full time job with this benefit. Or you may purchase independently on your own. Example of some is "bluecross"...."the coperators"....etc

The bolded isnt quite the case. The boards of nursing in Canada doesnt use wes Ives iqas etc....these are strictly immigration related.
The ONLY approved body for credential evaluation for the purpose of practice remains NNAS(application fee about 750cad or there about)

I also change the document by document to course by course instead. The reason is I might be using it for Nursing society in Canada.

First of all Changing it is a total waste of time and money in respect to the above.
Reasons are;
1......the assessment body for professional licensure for nurses in canada is NOT WES but " NNAS".
2.......you cant even use the course by course for a bridging program because to do that, you would have to be a RN in canada ist.

So if you are interested in practicing in canada, you can start your application now while you are working on your EE just to safe your time because it is a journey that also needs more chill pills than EE

Is the 25k the total amount? If it is then your contact is cheap( but I hope they are efficient also).
I paid almost 60k for my RN and RM verification.

Sometimes last month or so, I was on to using ICES for evaluating Nigerian Nursing Certificate, RN only after WES began to show their meaness. I paid for ICES evaluation, all documents got delivered August 16th, evaluation completed September 24th, document got delivered to Canadian address 2 hours ago... A month and 10 days.
ICES evaluated the RN as 3 years advanced diploma certificate!!! WES got to be kidding me with their trashy evaluation of Nigerian RN as Secondary Diploma.
Nurses in the house, use ICES.

For this process, it really doesnt matter.

After you arrive in canada u can worry about lamination.

Congrats @mepconsultant but out of curiosity, why did you use an agent? What role did the agent play? Cos You seem to have done everything yourself.

Sometimes you just want that feeling of doing EVERYTHING humanly possible so you can face the spiritual aspect .

For my study permit I used Cohen for my 2nd application and I also had load of info and I practically did everything also.

I hired them because they told me from the start that their fee is non refundable and they have no power over the outcome of my application.
For me that's the defining sentence of a genuine immigrant consultant.

There is a beneficial online 25 dollar course offered by the board. Once you watch the lecture, you would have heard/seen all you need to pass the exam.

Note that he used the bolded......CORE CRS. So you should understand what a core CRS is.
Example core CRS is 300 and u add mpnp nomination of 600 points, that makes u to get an ITA even with a low "core crs".

Well at this point in time, the entrance bodies aren't the focus but if wes works with your current immigration plan and also future prospects, you can use them.

Also note that the wes evaluation needed for educational and professional purposes isnt the ECA. You would have to convert it to the required format. The only adv is that you may not have to resend your documents.

Havent had someone do it this way before cos I went to 2 separate institutions.

But I believe since you have transcripts and certificates for each, you stand a good chance.

Assess it with iqas because you stand a higher chance for a favorable assessment. Also ensure that NMCN sends verification confirming your RN and RM licenses.

If you have the funds, I would advise you leave out the BSN from iqas and do it with wes then use iqas for the breakdown of the certs.
