U did nt demonstrate strong ties to ur country means dat u sounded like an immigrant. Som1 who isn't willin to come bak home after study. U need to prove strong ties like to a job(dis is a study leave from ur workin place) or family(u r married, or an only child or firstchild or only boy/gurl etc) or ties to inheritance. Next time u go for interview, go to ur sch site and read d history of ur school and ur dept; location, courses dey offer, names of some professors dat'll take u, ur sch rank, anytin. U must av atleast one of d standardized test; GRE, TOEFL or GMAT to show to d VO dat u r serious abt ur study. Best of luck

Well, dat depends on d kindof reference ur sch want. Som schs send a form (like a chat) for referees to fill, some want a letter headed paper signed n stamped and scanned bak to dem to back up wateva form dey sent. Formats alws depend on d sch, ur referee will know from wateva d sch sent to him/her.

Yes! I submitted lastyr early dec for a 2013 fall admsn. I got my offer letter jan 15. I was one of d few students dat was given offer letter early from wat my dept secretary said. I also got assistanshp for phD. My frnd and I submitted same week though e wanted spring admsn(jan), I dint want spring cos I dint want to compete wit him for assistnshp because e ad jus finish his masters @ cardiff (UK) wit a distinction and I don't av masters. Dis implies dat if I ad submitted for spring, I may av lost d admsn cos e was d only student offered admsn dat semester. Therefore, d earlier u apply, d better. Though He applied late for spring but e has outstnding docs (d guy is fire in book).someone who submit bfor/with him wud av lower chance.
Acceptance are basically based on ur doc and early submission too.wish u luck

Yes o! U av to talk to ur referees so dey wud no it is ur recomendation form. Dese peeps av oda tins dey r doin too and u cnt b on der mind. Referees don't give u any copy after writing recomendation. It is official doc dat is sent directly by dem to ur sch. Only one of my referees showed me wat e wrote/scanned to my sch.
