Paid £1606 2days back when I did mine and the cover includes driving in EU. It’s a 2020 SUV and I was very suprised to see the price as well. Was getting £1150 or so for black box but I wasn’t open to being monitored for 1yr and I didn’t take it.
If it helps, register on compare the market, then on the same browser you should have AutoTrader open, that way when you’re browsing for cars, you get to see the insurance cost straight away (I’ll gladly explain more on this if it’s confusing with the way I explained).
However, people say adding another driver brings down the cost but I think that’s illegal if the other person won’t be driving at all.
Furthermore, the same insurance would cost £4791 if I was staying in SE London but I don’t live in London anymore but I edited address to see how that influences the price. And my insurance also covers me when I’m driving other people’s car.
Finally, don’t include breakdown cover when you take out the insurance. I got a breakdown cover for under £17 with pinginsure. And my insurance provider is Esure.

I thought I should share my experience on "no recourse to public funds". I happen to be in the tech field with no much years of experience and decided to opt in for a bootcamp to brush up my skills as it offers internship after graduation. I went through the process and passed. However on offer, I was told that the bootcamp was sponsored by the "department of xxxxxx UK"... And since I was on student visa, I have no recourse to public funds which included this sponsorship by one of the govt. departments... Hence, would affect any other applications in the future. It thought me a lesson, in as much as I am looking to fit myself into the society, their rules are their rules and sometimes you unintentionally go against it like this one. We also want to ask as such questions as possible and be open as well. We all know recourse to public fund is against some visa conditions. It is boldly written on BRPs.

The help you can offer here is to mention the govt dept sponsoring the program so that people will avoid it as not everyone may be lucky to encounter the lady you encountered.

If I have paid the rent, the house is mine for that period I paid for. Why pay holding fee for my house. Except after contract expiration the landlord refuse to collect the one month rent in which case they should keep staying till they get another place.

Is it legal to just boot someone out after contract expiration if the person was will to continue on a monthly rolling basis?

Will they tell the court that they are looking for 6 months upfront hence the quit notice?

hello people. please i need some answers. when we first got into the uk, we paid our rent 6 months upfront and signed a 6 months tenancy agreement. its one and half month to its expiration and our agent is asking for another upfront payment or we meet the earning criteria for renting the house. My hubby got a job that meets the criteria but would resume within this month, we communicated this to the agent and they are saying we wouldn't pass the referencing because he would still be on probationary period, mind you it is a permanent job that meets the earning criteria. Reference is to check if the person is employed so the reference check should pass despite being in probation.

I also doubt you can be evicted for not paying several months in advance since the law requires monthly payments except they want to lie on the eviction notice. I think you should allow them do the reference check and if they say it failed and you should move, you will stay there and be paying monthly till you get another place even if it takes months again.

I really don't know why people are complaining....its not a must to japaa to any country. Its a personal decision.

Give them free flight back home they won't take, offer first class they wont, even provide private jet to take them back home, they won't go.

We should appreciate UK for the opportunity.

But the Nigerian economy benefits from the repatriation of forex from immigrants.
The immigrants themselves live a higher quality of life than they would in their home land.
So it's a win win situation.

You don't expect these countries to promote immigration into their lands if it won't benefit them because countries are not charity organisations.
