MathsChic: Sometimes I just hate being smart. Being smart, getting A's in school will make you top your class and later provide you with a decent to very lucrative job that's just going to assure your future. You won't be poor and you'll live a comfortable life. But sometimes, I just can't help but wonder at how boring and mundane everything eventually becomes.
On the other hand, not getting all the A's and not topping your class will throw you out there, challenge you to dream big and force you to come up with a living that could probably break bounds, making you into a household name. Linda Ikeji, Toke Makinwa, Folorunsho Alakija, Oprah, these are people who certainly didn't get the best grades in school or studied the best courses at university, yet they shape and influence the polity more than the best graduating student in Electrical Engineering from the set 1985 in Unilag would ever do. And who's that best graduating student anways? I bet no one knows today!
I so hate being smart! I wish I was a regular one that would have had to create something for herself. Pretend to be dumb that's if you are not . |

Romance › Re: My Funny Experience With Black Girls In Uk Club by vislabraye(m): 8:54pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
OlowoB: I will go straight to the point. I went out with my friend on saturday night(09/01/2016) in a club called Sugar Cube. Infact, anybody who has been to glasgow or stayed in glasgow for at least a year will definitely know this club. This is the club most naija artistes visit anytime they come to Glasgow, Uk.
We got into the club, bought drinks and told ourselves that we should chill till around 1am before we start dancing with the ladies. Immediately it was 1am, we started dancing with the gals, going to the different sections (actually two and 1 VIP) of the club trying to see if we will get any girl to take home. We danced with some white gals, some of them politely, with smile on their faces turned us down saying they are with their guys or they are just there to hang out and dance with their fellow white gal friends.
To the issue at hand, me and my friend still kept on, we insisted, we must see a gal to take home that night after paying £8 each to enter and buying drinks totalling almost £100. We moved ahead and saw two black gals and we decided to help their ministry, got close to them like we have done with other white gals in the club and guess what, they not only turned us down, they walked out of our fronts and hissed while going. I mean these were just average looking gals dancing close to each other, not holding any drinks and we decided to help their ministry. I mean why couldn't they turn us down politely like the other white gals have done? It took the Grace of God in my life and the Visa on my passport to prevent myself from pulling them back and slapping them. (yes i was that angry)
I have also noticed here in glasgow that most of these average looking black gals hardly talk to their fellow guys. Is it that they are looking for white guys cos of visa? but at least still talk politely to your fellow blacks.
Please i have seen many scenarios and heard many of such but this particular incident in the club made me know that most black girls (at least 85%) in glasgow,Edinburgh and other parts of Uk except England specifically London (due to huge black population) are just suffering from inferiority complex and they lack basic ability to reason well.
If you have any similar experience, please share. Some of those gals may be on nairaland.
cc: lalasticala, seun I'm a late comer to this thread. Your experience is very hilarious. . But funny thing is that if you decide to dateand marry a white woman, they'll be the one dissing you. |

The attacks in the northeast affects Christians and Muslims alike, all Nigerians are affected. If it means banning the hijab, agbada, pant and bra to be a step ahead of the terrorists over there, I support it. Drastic times call for drastic measures. Nigeria is bigger than 1 religion. pkween: Bros/Sis you can say that again. The one i experienced today was in another dimension. The senior pastor just bought a Toyota Cor.2011 Model with full option, the car was to be dedicated by a junior pastor ,the junior pastor told the congregation of almost no car to sow at least 86.50naira to buy fuel for the senior pastor's new car so that they can tap into God's blessing of getting a new cars in 2016.In another development, the senior pastor's wife had earlier informed the small congregation that the chief pastor's had been bereaved of his step father and the church should assist the pastor,lo and behold, this same congregation agreed to give about 120k for a cow, where i was d only one that pledged the least amount of 2k so i will not seen as a bad person. ....Note,in this church we have people that can't even go to secondary school because they can not pay their fees. Do not forsake the gathering/assembly of the children of God.How do we know them when we can see their hearts! Please lets go back to the former calling of soul winning not money winning and strange competitions. I will rather stick to a church where the pastor is kin on winning souls and cares about the sheep not his belly. Where can we still find such men of God? When Christ come will he still find his own? This matter tire me ooooooooo This taxing is usually common amongst small congregation. I understand that the church has needs to be met but tge way this people go about it is discouraging . A small church of 100 members want to be Winners Chapel overnight . It doesn't happen like that. |

Weeee: I was at a Church today and I almost wept for the black race. Is it that people don't read their Bibles or they just choose to be gullible and stupid?
The Pastor or Prophet as he claimed he was always said that he isn't a beggar and he doesn't need anybody's money, but his actions were quite different. He acted like a beggar to me.
He was even so bold to request for so much money from his members and they saw nothing wrong at all. Okay, let me list all the money he collected so you can see for yourselves.
1) Who wants to give God the biggest note he/ she has in his/ her pocket?
2) Brown envelope.
3) White envelope.
4) Offering
5) Who wants to give money to the visiting Prophet? Tell the prophet thank you, Sow a seed now.
6) If you have 5000, 10,000 or any big amount of money you want to give to God.
Women came out mostly and I must say the church made almost N200, 000 or even more in just a day and this happens every Tuesday and other days they fellowship.
Things I noticed about the church...
1) The Pastor is an owner of a big car, while the members were mostly poor women and few men.
2) The Pastors dressed far better than the members. In fact, the members looked like people with lots of financial problems.
3) The only things the members get from these Pastors are prayers and a promise that God will reward them in 2016. I remember that I went to this same church some years back and the members still looked the same with no much of a change.
When will Nigerians get back to their senses to realize that these Pastors are using their beliefs, emotions and gullibility to steal all the money they have?
Only when we begin to think and come to a reasonable conclusion that God doesn't need money, but humans do, that is when we will begin to think right.
I wish I could take a video of what went on. What's the name of the church or its location . But most small churches do this very often. I can't imagine a very large church spending minutes harassing members. Pastors should tone down a bit. |

Now take a look at the first picture, see the confidence in Madam Ngozi, notice how she looks at the IMF boss straight in the eyes, heck, it seems like she's even talking down to her. Check the fouth picture, see how Mrs Adeosun appears nervous, with her hands clasped together and leaning forward again, check the stiff shoulders which clearly shows fear, take a second look at her clueless facial expression. Lo and behold this little dude just paused and thereafter there was a big grin + disgust on his face.
