kateskitty: Ok so my fiancé and I are back together after much argument but I have since seen how what caused our problem was serious and decided to change my ways. However, we now have a new problem. So I was reading this blog post by some marriage counselor and it was about something like things to do with your spouse before you get married to know just how strong your bond will be. And what caught my attention was about shaving, it said that couples should be comfortable with shaving each other.
So I asked my fiance if he could shave me "down there" and to my greatest surprise he said and I quote "you no get hand" I always thought that my fiance was the one who loved more between the both of us, but I'm beginning to doubt that. Now I'm not too bothered about him not wanting to shave me "down below" but he is now begin defensive, asking me why would I ask him to do something that disgusting and if he is a barber. This got me pissed and we are no longer talking. So you've gone to tell everyone in NL what we discussed in the ither room . Ok. I have broken up with you. |

doctokwus: This Deji has been a arse hole, but this protest is supported. PMB,d senate and that useless CBN governor dont go to d market one day only to go the very NEXT MORNING,and find that price of d same item has gone up. There are some food items that have consistently had their prices going up every 4days,since this year began. That's why we should hold this government accountable. Some people were even abusing 2face for planning a nationwide protest. Everyone is being affected, whether Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. |

Career › Re: Reasons Why Employers Do Not Promote Their Employees by vislabraye(m): 10:23am On Jan 27, 2017*. Modified: 10:44am On Jan 27, 2017 |
Appswheel: You are very correct in your views. Most employers reward employees who are intuitive, innovative, creative and entrepreneurial.
[Intuitive - You dont always wait to be told what to do. You take initiative. Innovative- You suggest ideas of how to increase company profits, improve company products and services. Creative - Improve on the company existing methods of getting things done. Entrepreneurial - You take ownership of your job. Work as if its your own business. Take full charge and responsibility.
However, some people do all these and still do not get promoted. This happens in organisation that do not care about their staff or management that favour staff that are grounded in "eyes service". Again, some employees do not let their Manager or management know what they bring to the table, while it is not advised that you blow your own trumpet, employees must find a way to show their Managers and Management what efforts they are making to make the organisation better. Let them see your effort and the impact it has on the company.
Finally, there is politics in every organisation. Open your eyes and learn the robes. Get close to the people that matter in your organisation, the decision makers. If you put this advise to heart, your name will be top of the list of employees for promotion.
In the last organisation I worked with, I got promoted twice within a year. Not minding the recession, when people are being laid off and salaries been slashed.
I invite you to subscribe to my series - The Memoir of a Job Seeker, a monthly publication where I'd be sharing my interview and job experience with you. Nice points... |

LekkiHost: I keep wondering why most employers do not promote their employees and this came to my mind..The reason why employers do not promote their employee is that most employees do only what they are told to do..they are not willing to do more, think more or even go the extra mile. They lack initiative and professionalism.some employees are not willing to learn and develop soft skills needed for them to succeed in their career. they do not do things that exceeds the management expectation and most of all they don't think like a manager but like employee......what else do you think could deprive an employee from being promoted?
https://www.lekkihost.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.new#new While some of the things you say are true, you should also note that many employers have their own issues. For instance we have Indians and Lebanese who exploit their workers. I don't know whether you've been hearing of poor working condition. Or may be you are a teacher in a private school. You are an engineering graduate looking for a job. You are asked to teach maths, physics, further maths, intro tech and/or chemistry. How can an employee function well. |

Lordsocrates: I thought Ben Murray Bruce bin get common sense... it is a pity to know....
during GEJ oil was sold At Just 76dollar per barrel and the naira was already nose diving, Nigeria exports just one thing and imports everyyyy other thing, so when the price of the one thing we xport declines, and we fail to hv a decline in what we import what does anyone with common sense think will happen ?
even Saudi Arabia in all its glory is feeling the bite of the fall in oil price, all oil exporting countries has been brought to its knees, and Nigeria, with the war on BHT, the attack on pipelines by militants et all is supposed to hv been sold of at Amazon by now..
but we are still standing, and we are almost moving towards self sufficiency in rice production...people are leaving their dependence on politics and cheap money, to do things with their hands...
and Ben Murrey bruise dey supose get common sense dong dey follow smol pikin dem play jus to get likes.... shamefull What is Buhari doing better ? |

realone2012: You people should go on, and turn this to a religion war! Una eyes go clear..
I have some questions to ask; Are all Fulanis Muslim? Because you people are making it seem as if its one religion against the other. Is the population of Southern Kaduna 100% Christian? Because SD is a predominant Christian area doesn't mean there are no Muslims and people from other religion being affected by this senseless attacks. Or do they ask them if they are Christian before attacking them? No matter what, violence should be condemned! I'm surprised people are trying to turn it to a Religion thingy!! War doesn't determine who is right, it determines who is left. Religion leaders should know better!
But Buhari and El-Rufai no try at all. Their nonchalant attitude and in-sensitiveness to this matter is the reason why it's escalating like this. Haba! They really are disappointing people who believe in them!
Well, what do I know? So you see the reason why pst. Samson is making such statement ? A Deeper Life woman was killed up North because she politely asked a Moslem not to do his ablution near her shop. And she got killed. Do you know what Buhari said ? He said we should respect each other's religion ? Another woman was killed because she was carrying out morning cry. Some people say that she has no right to disturb the peace of neighbours. But does that justify the murder ? The truth is that Christians are the major victims of this crisis. If any moslem was killed in Southern Kaduna, it must be collateral damage. No one wants war but what do you do when they bring war to your doorstep |

Lagban: Accepting the truth is nt easy. Despite the warning from friends, CBN and the likes, i fell for MMM. I lost 300k : my school fees, money i got from a scholarship board & my hard earned money. I hated any form of gambling ryt from time until the MMM surfaced. I have gat Zero naira in my Bank account as I type. I had several suicidal thoughts in the last 2wks but i realized that I will make more than the Money i lost Thru MMM in no time when i Start working and more importantly, i will end up dissappointing my parents despite their effort over the years to make me gr8 in life. I have learnt my Lesson the very hard way! I love doing things the legitimately way but i could nt withstand MMM temptation. My only regret is the fact that I allowed greed to cloud my thinking Sorry for your loss. Many people won't admit they've made a mistake. MMM is pure gambling. It's a scam because there are no regulations. If there were rules, you just can't freeze people's money. We kept hearing the promoters say that the banks are envious of them. So funny. |

emmanuel596: In Nigeria when something tragic like this happens we tend to laugh and feel happy about those who were affected by it. You hardly see people rejoice about things like this in other part of the world... Let truth be told Most of the people who come online to rant and make noise about mmm are members too who are just looking for a means of easing their pains or those who regretted not participating in mmm when it paid and help saved soo many people during the hardship of recession....in Nigeria and africa we are happy at each others downfall... Aside of the fact that mmm issues draws traffic to nairaland I don't see any other reason why nairaland won't let mmm rest... Nairaland has lost competence and credibility since December last year..... Watch out for a new forum.... The reason why most Christians in the west are naive enuf to allow Muslims in is because they do not understand want we face here. Just 0.7% Muslims in USA yet they create so much havoc that ppl are now scared now imagine what Nigerian Christians are going through sharing an almost equal population with them. You can imagine |

Every students keep believing government owes them jobs. Government has no business creating jobs. Private sector is there for that purpose.
I'm not a fan of Fayemi for the looting he did in Ekiti but he made some good points.
Some of you should learn to read before making comments on things you haven't read. The moment most of you read the headlines, you start making contributions that a learned fellow wouldn't have made. If the bolded is true, what moral right does he have to advise the youths. Alternatively, if he had not looted and other politicians like him don't loot don't you think think the youths would have been better off. I used to ask myself if Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg were Nigerians they would be able to achieve what they achieved. |

ilynem: Contrary to popular belief, tithing is not an old testament thingy. Jesus spoke about it in Matthew 23:23. If you analyse it closely, you would realize that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were not yet New Testament/covenant because Jesus had not yet died. Hebrews says that a will is only enforced when the testator is dead. Jesus was speaking to the Jews under the Old covenant. Sincerely speaking I've not seen anywhere from the books of Acts that tells us to pay tithe. |
