i dont believe a company should be told what price to sell their goods in a free market economy. why cant the aviation minister as a matter of national interest; help or facilitate a system that will enable Arik and Air Nigeria improve their services to the point where the thousands of Nigerians who fly the 21 BA flights weekly to and Fro UK will switch carriers?

if Arik and AirNigeria offer services that are at par wit BA at a cheaper cost, there will be no discussion

if you say you opened a sub-account and you have decided you will only transact on that account by being physically present at the banking hall, then i hope you wont come here to cry if the bank charges you for every banking hall transaction on that account if those transactions could have been done via any of their self service channels?

money has been spent to provide the self service channels (phone, internet and atm) at no cost to the customer, if you choose not to use those facility and take up space and staff manhour in the banking hall because you feel like it, then expect to pay extra in charges

Hi guys. Sorry to derail but i need suggestions. How do i watch youtube videos on my blackberry? I have downloaded Opera mini and UCweb, both do not support it. UCweb says not supported while Operamini sends me to internet explorer. Any clues for me? I use BB 9700 on Etisalat.

with the crazy fast etisalat 3.75G network, watching youtube videos shld be a breeze on a 9700 unless youre getting EDGE or GPRS.

if your signal quality is at least 3G, just go to youtube.com, you dont need opera or any special app

its possible your media card is corrupt due to the handling by your baby as you descibed in your post

viewing youtube is mainly a function of your network speed. you need a fast 3G to make youtube videos play on your bb. if you BB shows 3G or 3.5G, chances are high youtube videos will play

i used glo coweek and had no problem with bb protect, just subscribed to comonth, did a battery pull and when the phone booted, i cant use bb protect, tells me 'your wireless service plan does not include blackberry protect'

All major roads in warri close to the governors residence ahs been closed to vehicles movement since yesterday evening all in the name of his daughter getting married on saturday. All schools within that vicinity were also shut this morning. From Total to Ogunu roundabout, blocking access to 2 shell facilities and now this morning the only express road in warri has been closed blocking access to chevron facility. The whole warri is in chaos with mahd traffic everywhere.

This is just the height of lawlessness in this country. A state where nuthin works and roads are inna terrible state and now people have to suffer this much to move around for 3 days coupled with school kids being forced to stay at home for 2 days all cos the guvnors daughter is getting married!!!!!! this is just crazy.

there are lots of businesses and people living all around the axis affected, why single out Shell and Chevron for specific mention? are they more important than the others who are being inconvenienced? #justasking

believe me, MTN is doing it cos they have received huge compensation from RIM not because they care about you.

so stop wasting your time praising them

RIM business model with Blackbery is completely diffErent with how other phones operate with Telecoms providers thereby helping providers with priotised decisions for BB users. It's an arguement that can't be changed. Basic points for telecoms here is you can't have a BB and not subscribe (more business & lesser data compression). Technology used for BB require that it stays online 24/7 (Data compression is still an advantage). Business model for other phones are designed for you to go online whenver you desire (doesn't have to stay online 24/7, but it consume more bandwidth). Who gets your priority If you are a business man? Bearing in mind that demand for data is far too high for the existing infrastructure. Apple are not far from getting a premimum package like BB #IMO

@OP and other smartphone users,

as some BB users have mentioned, blackberrys are not just the smartphone hardware you see people carrying around but are an integrated user service provided and supported by RIM in collaboration with network providers all over the world. an inordinate volume of data travel through the hardware and software provided by RIM to take care of blackberry devices whilst leaving very little footprint on the network provider's system

on the other hand, your regular smartphone with data access capability puts a lot of stress on the network providers system becuase they are all doing their thing all over the place. that is why you pay more.

look on the bright side, you have utter freedom to run wild in cyberspace

complacency when your big and fat is the easiest way to corporate death

guess they are trying to stay ahead of the competition

the job of the fuel filter is to prevent debris from getting from your tank to the ignition and combustion units. if you dont buy bad fuel and your tank is not full of junk, a fuel filter in a tokunbo is as effective as a fuel filter in a tear rubber
