All these rubbish wouldn't have happened if Tinubu had allowed Osibanjo to get the ticket..

If Tinubu allowed Osibanjo be the presidential flag bearer of APC, they will be seeing victory already now.

What makes you think you are better or the best of everyone? It is just selfish and entitlement mentality on display.

No you're not a bad friend but a terrible one.
The girl is even bold enough to ask you to officially date her but here you are trying to look like half a saint..
Coward!!!
The lady is only trying to hurt her ex-boyfriend by using the friend. The friend is just a pawn in the game of chess war against her ex. She still has unfinished scores to settle against the ex and she has chosen the friend as a weapon.

How can she visit me once and on the same day, I was able to fu..ck her. She suddenly started asking me to date her officially.

Come-on, only a fool will not know that she has a mission to make the ex jealous, angry with his friend, fight his friend and make him feel terrible.

I don't blame the friend for chopping the fruit but he must not date her officially nor stupidly fall in love like the idiot is confessing.

Qatar Airlines already started taking only USD from Nigerian Customers and it is very expensive. The economy has collapsed. Everybody should brace for impact.
That is madness. CBN and Federal Government have to move against local transactions being done in forex within Nigeria.

that your last paragraph is the issue. You’ll agree with me time is money.

Let me add that even some of these banks won’t sell to you.

The other day I wanted to change some pounds sterling to Naira at a commercial bank and the official of the bank rather referred me to the aboki roaming around the bank.

The sole purpose of a business is to survive and possibly grow. Nobody is investing in Nigeria to sympathize with the government it’s to make their returns and the government has failed in guaranteeing that.
The bank staff referred you to the aboki because he or she feels you will earn more on the exchange rate from black market than the official rate. If I were you, I would rather sell to aboki than the bank.

However, if I want to buy forex, I would rather buy from bank than the aboki because I will be buying dollar at about 420 naira instead of 709 naira.

I can tell you categorically that banks will never deprive you of forex if the demand is for trade and legitimate. They may only require you to buy in tranches depending on supply of forex on daily basis.

Again, I reiterate that Petroleum Marketing Companies, Manufacturing Companies and some others have high priority of bidding for dollars through CBN via Commercial Banks.

kokaneprodigy:
However wrong this is, the onus is on CBN to enforce.
But remember the vendor buys aviation fuel in dollars, and Naira has been very unstable lately.

You could buy aviation fuel when $1=600 then you sell it in Naira to airlines, only for you to want to restock and $1=710. That’s a huge loss.
I strongly agree with you that CBN should enforce vendors to trade in naira within Nigeria.

However, your analogy of the instability of naira as an excuse is only tenable if the vending company only source forex from black market.

I don't believe Petroleum Marketing Companies source forex from black market for business demands or imports of petroleum products in Nigeria. They are even given priority in bidding for forex through CBN via commercial banks. The official rate of forex in Nigeria is still relatively stable; it is about 420naira to a dollar currently.

The only flaw is the efficiency and turn-around-time of commercial banks and CBN at meeting the demand for forex of these legitimate business demands.
TravelRe: Emirates To Reduce Flights Frorn Dubai To Nigeria From 11 Per Week To 7 by Wallade(m): 2:08pm On Jul 30, 2022
"Emirates did try to stem the losses by proposing to pay for fuel in Nigeria in Nairas, which would have at least reduced one element of our ongoing costs, however this request was denied by the supplier. This means that not only are Emirates' revenues accumulating, we also have to send hard currency into Nigeria to sustain our own operation."

Why would CBN allow a vendor to trade within Nigeria strictly in forex, without naira alternative, especially when the customer prefers to pay in naira?

This is part of the reasons the demand for dollars in black market is ridiculously high - insatiable desire for forex.

I guess it was the primary election dollar rain that is shooting up the dollar rate now. They mopped up the whole dollars to pay delegates, thereby causing scarcity.
If it was only the primary election, the demand for dollars would have eased by now.

The main election is coming up in 2023 so they are mopping dollars up as usual to bribe and pervert the system and minds of electorates.

The politicians demand for dollars for anticipated spendings during election is also a factor to address.

Top 10 Countries Where Government Beg Citizens to Have More S*x

This might sound ridiculous, but do you know that there are countries where citizens are being begged by the government to have more s*x? Have a look at the s*x-starved nations.

There are few things more important than fertility in determining a nation's future viability.

Demographers suggest that a country needs a fertility rate of just over two children per woman to hit "replacement fertility" — the rate at which new births fill the spaces left behind by deaths.

But because of certain cultural and economic forces, only about half of the world's 224 countries currently hit replacement fertility.

For those that don't, encouraging people to have sex can involve strategies that range from highly explicit to downright bizarre.

1. Denmark

2. Russia

3. Japan

4. Romania

5. Singapore

6. South Korea

7. India

8. Italy

9. Hong Kong

10. Spain

I don't agree with you on India (one of the most populated countries in the world can't be begging citizens and residents to have more sex). India's population is over 1.3 billion people.

If you stop BDC, is government ready necessary to provide all the forex needed!
Please read my position well, I didn't say stop BDC. I said CBN and Commercial Banks should stop selling forex to them.

There area still other private sources they (BDCs) get forex. If you know how much forex are stored and kept in people's private houses, stores and chambers. You will marvel at it.

Ordinarily, wouldn't you sell your dollar to BDC rathers than sell to the commercial banks?

BDCs will still be operating in the black market but they will not be able to buy from CBN and Commercial Banks at 420 naira and almost immediately sell in black market at 710 naira. If that practice continues, dollar will soon hit 1,000 naira per dollar.

The dollar has been rising extraordinarily in the black market against the naira. This is not the case with Pounds and Euro.

This implies that the rise of the dollar is artificial and majorly speculative.

1. There are a lot of rich people mopping up dollars in the black market for several reasons.
2. A lot of organizations that engage in international trade also source their dollars from black market.
3. Most Bureau De Change are owned by politicians who hold cash majorly in dollar currency and use the Bureau De Change to clean dirty monies. Their cronies demand the dollars constantly to continue to reduce dirty naira held in their houses and other secret chambers.
4. They use their children, associates, families, cryptocurrency and other means to launder the monies to other countries for investment and safe keeping from the prying eyes of EFCC and ICPC.
5. CBN sells dollars to approved Bureau De Change at 420 naira and those BDC sell to the public at 710 naira. Meanwhile, 90% of these BDC are owned by the politicians. There can only be few better business than that in terms of profitability.

The desire of Nigerians; politicians, business men and women, civil servants, rich and affluent, to hold value in dollars is getting insatiabl, this demand for dollar is unprecedented.

It will not stop till we take drastic actions:

1. Ban the sales of Forex to BDCs from CBN and Commercial Banks.
2. Ensure every organization with legitimate need for forex go through CBN via commercial banks and get their request duely and in short turnaround time.
3. Ensure BTAs and PTAs demands for Forex are met by commercial banks in timely and efficient manner.
4. Compel organizations trading within Nigeria to accept payments in naira; transactions should majorly be done in Naira within Nigeria.

These efforts and others will help to stabilize the dollar and forex rates in the market.

My Nigerian brother, all this bile because the CBK is enforcing Kenyan law within the Republic of Kenya? Kenya and Nigeria are two different entities, found on different sides of this great continent. Kenyans have their own dreams and aspirations and we don't need to look up(or down) to anyone for direction or inspiration on how to do our thing.

Everything in Kenya is now driven by the spirit of our new constitution. Drafted and enacted by Kenyans, for Kenyans, just twelve years ago. No one is above the law in Kenya anymore, no big man syndrome not even from the president himself. Things are working, the three arms of the government are working effectively, free and in tandem. Kenya is the strongest democracy and economy too, in East & Central Africa and I can tell you that Kenya is rising even higher.

Our judiciary is partial and working effectively and if you genuinely believed you faced injustice, that would have been the perfect avenue for you. Kenya might have a tribal history but we are surely facing it out. We are going to the polls in two weeks time and history is being made even right now. No incumbent president in Africa has ever chosen to support his greatest rival. Who is the official leader of the opposition, from a different party, as his preferred successor. Bypassing even the vice president, with the sole intent of building bridges and diluting tribal sentiments, that is the new Kenya.
Hello, what do you think about flutterwaves operations in Kenya? Please educate us.

What do you think the CBK is trying to achieve with this move and do you see better alternative actions from CBK.

Greetings to you all, Please I'll like to know if customer service job can be done remotely for firms in other countries from Nigeria.
Looking at situation of things in the country, it is evident that one needs a side hustle to meet up with needs.
A friend recently to me about this remote job stuff and I'm picking interest in it. I'm not into tech, but rather have been in customer service for years.
All the remote jobs I'm seeing online are requesting the applicants to be residents of the country.
That keeps me wondering if one can do this from Nigeria.
Please your advice, suggestions and experience are highly needed here to guide me.
Gracias..
Yes you can. Infact, it is currently in practice in Nigeria. Most customer care functions in Nigeria are done from India and China.

Even I, TheGidRedpiller cannot guarantee that these four listings are enough to clearly expantiate the vastness of simps in the 21st century. After spending sometime observing, i could only come up with 4 at the moment, so lets do it anyway.

This thread is not to "Shame" men whatsoever or to make us Redpillers feel superior, NO! It has never been about that. We are men, this is how we love to solve problems; AGGRESSIVELY!
In one way or the other, we are still looking out for our fellow men, that is what we do and that is how we do it, we either go hard or go home. We do not call you a simp because it makes us feel good, rather it is to force your inner beast to take control!
Lets go on shall we?
