Hi everyone. Please if you're coming in and your previous study is not related to your current course I carry God beg you to reread your sop incase you meet the immigration guys on duty yesterday.
Until I left POE they were still asking one Indian guy to convince them on why he left his field to become a chef grin. You need to see how this guy was sweating, speaking all his grammar the immigration guy said he hasn't seen reasons why he should give him the study permit grin

I think you should look into the Canadian Federal Skilled Workers Program and assess if you're qualified instead of an MSc.

Hi,
Am 43yrs old and was widowed a year plus ago. I just need a new place to retry life smiley. I intend to apply for a masters program. I have a brother who is willing to and financially capable of sponsoring me plus my name appear as a director in his company. I have 4 daughters. I earn about 500k monthly from my bro company and get a 100k support monthly from him personally. My elder sister in Ontario keeps discouraging me that since my Bsc is since 2000 and because of my age I may not be considered. Pls seniors kindly advise, I would like to have other opinions on my success chances.

This is the most silliest reply I've ever come across on this thread yet It's better to keep quiet than say this undecided
Bede2u:
ur elder sister in canada is telling u dont come to canada...wat are u asking us again? Who knows both u and canada better than her?

U are earning 500k in a sure job....wat do u think abroad is? A place where bad thing never happen? Where no one can die by mistake? Where money is picked on the road? Bruh

Let me ask u. Lets say dangote ran away to u.k like his mates were doing in the 70s instead of joining the hustle in lagos...do u think he would be better off now?

We all need to change how we view the world. Its not easy anywhere

We don't encourage fraud on this platform. No one will answer your questions as it shows an intent of fraud. But if you insist, lemme answer the ones I can. You must pay the entire tuition of your entire program before you leave Nigeria. If its a two or four years program, you must pay the four years fees and also deposit your living expenses of $10,000 per year for four years. Yes you can reduce your age and write waec but after that, when doing your medicals, a full MRI scan will be done and they will find out you reduce your age which will lead to your arrest and you will be sent to kirikiri. Once you are above 18 you cant apply for undergraduate as 18 is the maximun age you can apply and 24 for masters and 30 for PhD. Once you pass this ages, you can't apply. As an asthmatic person, they won't give you Canadian visa. Before you get Canadian visa, you must never have fallen sick. If they see even malaria, they will reject you as you will pose a great risk to their country and might bring Ebola into canada. Thanks my friend. Dont mention. What are we friends for.

80 pages? You can't even compress it to fit the 4mb requirement lmao and 5 different accounts will definitely raise a financial brow. You need to avoid making your application very complicated.

Hi guys,
I am new in this place and I want you to please help in making suggestions for good schools for fall 2020.
Undergraduate: Obafemi Awolowo University (O
OAU) . Electronic/Electrical Engineering. GPA (4.63/5.00) Toefl (80) GRE (Not yet taking).

Proposed US School:
University of Houston, Texas Tech University and University of Florida.
Program: MSc Electronic/Electrical Engineering. (Possibly Computer Science).

based on the Toefl score, I saw 79 or 80 as their minimum scores. Though I know it also depend on their acceptance rate. And I am thinking of using that score like that please is this a good choice Including Universities? Thanks

You all have been very helpful.. And success to other hopefuls.

You basically give them what they want, it's self-explanatory. You sum the tuition for the whole graduate studies and you simple say it's self-sponsored (i.e you'd be sponsoring yourself)
xprimate:
Good testimonies and insight, thumps up guys.

Please what is the best way to answer this question asked on the application form of Dalhousie University application form:
Financial Support at Dalhousie:
Indicate the expected source and amount of funds for your graduate studies.
Please describe how you expect to fund your graduate program.
(Applicants will not be considered without this information).
Visa students must provide proof of sponsorship, if applicable.

P.S: I have personal account statement that is very active in respect to the tuition fees.

See motivation. Omo mine's 3 weeks and 3 days. I feel like submitting web form o cuz my blood dey hot
ca12:
This may help someone
May 10th applicant
Medical request June 28
Did medicals July 4 and linked application online. Medicals updated to passed on July 12
Application pending and eligibility review not started.
Then the wait started
Up till August 2nd, no update on application and eligibility review had not yet started.
Then I sent out a web form and a mail to Nairobi office. Saw the mails listed on page 128.
August 6th, I received a follow up mail asking me to go do medicals and that if they do not hear from me in 15 days, I stand to be denied my visa.
Was very furious ehn.
Then started sending out every single mail I could send and also sent a mail to the hospital. Thank God IOM responded on time with a copy of the sent medical result as proof. I then sent this copy in a new mail and also filled the web form to Nairobi specifically,”.
This morning August 7th,I got the BVL letter and eligibility review has started.
So imagine this guys someone did not do his work well and just left my application on hold. Aahhhh
Well, I trust God that I would get my visa in two days time.
So if your application is overdue, pls send a mail because human error could cause a delay.
I don’t know who saw my post yesterday, I guess no one had a response to it but I hope this post passes some info for someone that has been waiting for long.

If these UK guys don't make their immigration laws favourable to international students, by 2021, na only Justwise go dey active for that UK tier 4 visa thread lmao grin
raymege:
I think my class was the past batch that got a 2years PSW permit in the UK, that was circa 2011.

Truth is, since then the number of people especially from Africa going to the UK has REDUCED.

it isn't even about wanting to stay there forever, people also want to gain some international work experience before going back to their homeland, so the lack of a straight PSW permit is a huge disincentive for a lot of people.

That 3 months they give now, is nothing and very inadequate to secure a good employment that would help you change your status there.

Truth is, there's really nothing in the UK, the jobs aren't there compared to places like Canada or the UK or Australia or even Germany. Getting a decent job in the UK isn't easy-it takes time and processes.

If I know what I know now(no regrets anyway) , I would have gone for my Undergraduate in Canada then, rather than the UK.
I had the option of Canada and the UK . Canada was taking to long, so I opted for the Uk.

UK still has the fastest and most straight forward Uni admission process. You can get 5 offers letters a week from UK universities in a week.

Yeah bruv. I applied on the 14th of July from the UK. Biometrics on the 16th. Biometrics completed on the 19th. The average processing time is 2-3 weeks from the UK. This is the third week, so hopefully decision go land this week. Or by next week, I go query them small Again my financial documents are from Nigeria, maybe that's why it's taking this long.
5454Darese:
@waynnee2baba have you applied for your can visa if yes how long and any feedback yet? Did you also apply from the U.K.?

Lol chill. I already did my research properly and chose UK over Manitoba then in 2016. Wanted to grab a British degree ASAP and move to Canada. Going to Canny with a British degree will give me an edge in the job market.

That exactly what happens when people failed to do simple research before travelling abroad. Good luck with Canada hopefully you have done your research
