I'm a christian but this days i wonder what is going on in our churches. The decay in the christaindome is so much that made me to compile these list as follows; 1) Pastors function like CEOs 2) Members are turned into customers 3) Other churches are seen as competitions 4) Evangelism is reduced to marketing 5) Church planting looks more like franchising 6) Numbers are primary measure of success 7) Prayer and Word study are replaced by formulas Revival is reduced to a few days fund-raising program9) Preaching sounds more like motivational speech. All the people do is shout "I receive, Amen," throughout the concert. I mean the "service". 10) Praise and Worship is turned into a performance. The best actors are made the worship and praise leaders. 11) The Spirit of God is reduced to "emotionalism". No real power of God other than hypnosis and sensationalism. 12) The saints are entertained instead of equipped 13) Disciples of Christ have become papa's sons, daughters and fans. 14) The Church, a living Body has now become a lifeless body 15) A leader's empire is built instead of the Kingdom of God advanced 16) The pastor becomes the super man and Jesus Christ reduced to just another religious figure. Does any one of these sound familiar in this generation? Beloved, if you are under these pattern of "Christianity" you are already in a cult, not the Church of Jesus Christ. Get out before it is too late!!! All I have highlighted above is exactly what made Jesus himself to ask: "When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith in the Earth?" (Luke 18. ![]() AMEN!!! https://www.ngrealnews.com/2021/02/when-church-becomes-business.html?m=1 |

Mine was conducting a burial ceremony for a lizard we just killed with my friends. The second one was stealing the fish my mom roasted. I still wonder how she knows I'm the one. I jokingly asked her when i was 20 nd she said she knows my pattern of cutting the fish. But as a kid life sweet o not what children of this days do. Memories plenty but that's story for the day or should i said how i would have been a dead man because my friends that knows how to swim jumped inside waiting for me nd i was the youngest/smallest. About jumping the sister to one of the guys who came to farm shouted nd told me to go back. Is as if something just left but i got the beating of my life that day. Since then uptill today i have phobia for River |

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has received the report from the Judicial Commission of Inquiry that Investigated Human Rights Abuses, Police Brutality and Extrajudicial Killings by the disbanded notorious police unit, named Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the state. The report was submitted to him by the chairman of the commission, Justice Chukwunenye Uriri (rtd) at Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday. Governor Wike said the State government has done its bit by setting up the commission and will also produce the White Paper at the next meeting of the State Executive Council. The governor challenged the Inspector General of Police (IG) and the new Commissioner of Police (CP) to implement the white paper as a proof that the Federal Government was serious about ending such police brutality in the country. "The truth of the matter is I am not sure the present Inspector General (IG) is out to fight insecurity. Now, he has appointed a new Police Commissioner for political patronage. "If at the end of the day, we come out with the White Paper and the Attorney General sends it to the police to implement or to prosecute as the case maybe, will it be implemented? "That is why I am challenging the IG and the new CP to make sure that they justify that the Federal Government is serious about telling states to set up Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the brutality of the police and the security agencies." Justice Chukwunenye Uriri said the commission received 190 petitions, struck out 82 for lack of due diligence or jurisdiction and eventually considered 108 of them. He stated that the figure depicts the highest level of recklessness, abuse of law and order in the country. According to him, the policemen who committed the crime against Rivers people, specially Mr Akin Fakorede and his other cohorts do not have any affinity with the State. "It is noteworthy that our commission has the highest number of petition in the federation. Lagos has 210 petitions while we have 190 petitions. Lagos is still there but by the grace of God, we are here presenting this report to you. "It is our opinion that this figure represents the highest degree of total disregard of law and order by law enforcement agencies in the State." Governor Wike , has meanwhile named five members of the State Executive Council who will study the report and determine the content of the White Paper. The members are the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice , Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor; Head of Service, Mr. Rufus Godwins, Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo- Aguma, Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, and Commissioner for Energy Dr. Peter Medee. The Senate, on Thursday, considered a bill seeking to stop employers in the private and public sectors from engaging employable Nigerian graduates as casual workers. The Prohibition of Casualisation Bill 2020, was sponsored by Senator Ayo Akinyelure. He said casualisation of Nigerian graduates in the Nigerian labour market had become a subject of great concern. He said more workers continued to groan under this immoral strategy of cutting cost by employers rendering them inferior to their counterpart in other countries of the world. Akinyelure, while citing the banking industry as a hub for casualisation, blamed banks for turning female marketers into harlots and sexual slaves in a desperate attempt by them to keep their jobs and meet unrealistic deposit targets. “In the banking and insurance industry, for instance, many young graduates particularly females are employed as marketers and given unrealistic customer deposit targets running into millions. They are hired and fired at will when such unrealistic targets are not met. The female among them who are desperate in keeping their jobs turn to harlotry and sex slavery. They, move from one office to the other looking for invisible customers who have large funds to enable them meet their targets, “ he said. https://www.facebook.com/273102863056662/posts/1388102544890016/ |

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, have urged the President , Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd .) , to urgently convene a meeting of the Nigeria Police Council, to appoint a substantive Inspector- General of Police . They gave the advice after a virtual meeting held to deliberate on the worsening security situation across the country . The advice was part of recommendations contained in a communique issued in Abuja , on Wednesday . The meeting, which was held under the auspices of the PDP Governors ’ Forum, recommended that the Federal Government should take urgent steps to decentralize the Nigeria Police Force. In the communiqué signed by the Chairman of the PDPGF , Aminu Tambuwal , the governors said , “ Nigeria Police Force as an institution is a common services agency for all tiers of government in Nigeria; that is why the Nigeria Police Council is made up of President as chairman , 36 State governors, chairman of Police Service Commission and Inspector General of Police as members . “ The council is the constitutionally designated forum for discussion of security matters in the country , particularly with respect to policing. “ It is worthy of note that the newly introduced community policing infrastructure is already being implemented more in breach . The current Nigeria Police Act envisaged that community policing should serve as a decentralised measure of grassroots policing and various roles were assigned to various parties , including the governors of the states. “ Unfortunately , in the constitution and operationalisation of the community policing activities in the various states so far, partisanship has taken over the recruitment process. “ We no longer have faith in the neutrality and capacity of the community policing system to serve the purposes envisaged under the new police Act , we ,therefore , call on the police authorities to sanitize the system .” The meeting further deliberated on the Electoral Act Amendment Bill pending before the National Assembly and urged federal legislators to expedite action in the passage of the bill , saying , “ It is necessary in other to avoid the pitfalls that befell the amendment process in the 8 th National Assembly , where Mr. President vetoed the bill on the ground among others , that the amendment came too late in the day .” In attendance were governors , Aminu Tambuwal ( Sokoto ) , Okezie Ikpeazu ( Abia ) , Bala Mohammed ( Bauchi ) and Duoye Diri ( Bayelsa ) . Others are Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi , Seyi Makinde and Darius Ishaku of Enugu , Oyo and Taraba states, respectively . Meanwhile, the National Working Committee of the PDP has dismissed reports of unrest within the NWC with members calling for the sacking of the National Chairman , Uche Secondus . National Publicity Secretary of the PDP , Kola Ologbodinyan , said this at a media briefing after a meeting of the NWC , in Abuja , on Wednesday . He said , “ The PDP is a strong and united one family that will resist any attempt by the ruling All Progressives Congress, to sow seeds of discord within its ranks. ” https://punchng.com/pdp-govs-ask-president-to-appoint-substantive-ig/ |
