when you can't breathe through your nose, what do you do?

i breathe through my mouth (dangerous) but what else should one do to clear the airway in the nose? undecided

i don't want to take advil nose spay 'cause i heard it's addicting.

any tips? usually i run around and that clears my nose up for like a minute and it's blocked again. that's too much work

i don't even feel like eating 'cause i can't taste my food. lol undecided
HealthRe: I Want To Be Fat by WesleyanA(f): 6:29pm On Jun 01, 2007
eat some more food and limit the exercises.
if you walk to your work/ school, take the bus or a ride next time.

i really don't know. some people have it easier, in gaining weight, than others.

nosa, no, it doesn't.
but why are blacks always the ones usually getting the low GPAs in fact i'm terrified, can't they follow my lead.

the semester/quarter system isn't so hard to understand.

some schools go by quarters
some by semesters.

there are usually 2 semesters with an option for summer school
and there are usually 3 quarters with an option for summer school.

there's spring semester and fall semester
for quarters there's spring/winter/fall/summer etc,
i thought there were 4 quarters? huh undecided

this doesn't apply to my school. blacks get some of the highest GPAs where i attend. i guess we're unique in that sense.

chiegemba:
@WesleyanA; not used actually in most sch systems in d states. most schools use quater system or semester. but 4 trimester its well known 4 a stage in pregnancy in d states.
i guess. just that most of the school forms i fill out usually ask if my school uses semester, quarter or trimester system. i think some middle schools use them but who knows?

I had never heard of trimesters being a school system before either. lol
Foreign AffairsRe: Is George Bush Destroying What America Stands For? by WesleyanA(f): 3:10am On Jun 01, 2007
bush isn't really any different from most other former presidents.

what US stands is, more often than not, what it goes against.
It's one of the reason the US is where it is today. you have to cheat to succeed sometimes i guess? huh
EducationRe: Students: What's Your GPA? by WesleyanA(f): 3:05am On Jun 01, 2007
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_term

i was right.
trimesters aren't as popular as semesters and quarters but they exist.

EducationRe: Students: What's Your GPA? by WesleyanA(f): 2:49am On Jun 01, 2007
GNature:
thanks so much.

But why not just kuku call it term ? Semester is very confusing. I thought semester was like a festival like eyo festival in lagos.
there are different systems that's why (depending on the school).

some schools use trimesters which i guess has three terms
some school system have four terms. they're called quarters.
semesters have two terms (i forgot that for a second). lol

EducationRe: Nairalanders In College/ University by WesleyanA(op): 11:33pm On May 31, 2007
you don't have to give the name of your school if you don't feel like it.

just tell us what it's like or say if you like your school or not and what you like/ dislike about it.
just general college stuff and what your answer will be if someone asked about your school.
EducationRe: Nairalanders In College/ University by WesleyanA(op): 11:29pm On May 31, 2007

EducationRe: Nigerian Educational System. by WesleyanA(f): 2:05am On May 31, 2007
If you attend a good school in Nigeria it would be very easy to get good grades in the US even though you struggled in Nigeria.
I couldn't agree w/ you more. lol
Nigerian education is a lot more rigorous than in the US. I swear the smartest people in the US are almost always from foreign countries. India, china, germany, nigeria etc
US is getting dumber and dumber everyday so they need students from other countries i guess.

CultureRe: Why Do Yorubas Classify Every Other Nigerians As Igbo by WesleyanA(f): 5:37am On May 29, 2007
wesleyanA: i hardly see hausa or edo people in the US. you guys are more likely to live in Italy or some european country i think. and hausas are more likely to be in the middle east.
mohadana:
@WesleyanA. that was a very stupid comment to make. this a funny thread.there are many edo and nigeria minorities in the USA,Texas,Dallas,Ny, Boston, etc.i live in Boston Ma, i see more edos than any other minorities ethnic groups from South South region.
. . .@laduate,read between the line of wesleyanA comment.i just hate stereotype comment.
I think mohadana is calling wesleyan stupid because he thinks that wes is making a tongue-in-cheek jab and calling his people prostitutes, hence the 'read between the lines'
OMG. what the hell? why would i try to call edo people prostitutes? huh you guys seriously misread my post. lol but i just re-read it and i wonder why that didn't cross my mind when i posted it.
actually i've never personally met any edo people here in the US (i know there are probably lots of them) but the first thing that came to my mind was the edo nairaland member michelin89 and she resides in italy. that's why i assumed that most edos reside in europe or something.

i apologize if i was being stereotypical in the first place for assuming that most edos reside in italy/europe (not even sure if that counts as stereotyping. generalizing is more like it)

exits thread before i get into any more trouble
IslamRe: Why Do Muslims Face The East When Praying? by WesleyanA(f): 5:13am On May 29, 2007
the muslims know why they face east. I got their explanation. the whole facing the Kaa'ba wasn't all that difficult. lol

===
oops for some reason i thought it was david's post above mine. i was beginning to wonder why it wasn't a page long argument that circled around NOTHING -but hate, of course.

davidylan:
Please this parade of pseudo-intellect, trying to force science to fit the quran, is no longer effective. The sun "rises" from the east and "sets" in the west BECAUSE the sun doesnt move! the earth revovlves around the sun that is why the sun will always "rise" in the east.

Unless you can prove that the earth revolves around the qiblah please do not come here to expose your lack of intelligence.
smart-ass, i see you took up my post on Joshua's "sun stood still" miracle to continue with your day job. grin
maybe you should try explaining to us how the sun stood still in the bible instead?

talking about "pseudo-intellect" *hisses*

If the face of 'Allah' is everywhere one turns, what difference does it make if one does not face the direction of the kaa'ba in prayer??
I'm not muslim but I think it's a sign of respect unto Allah. If he commands that they face a certain direction, why not do it that way even if you can perform the same prayer some other way.

It's just like praying. some christian denominations require that members go on their knees while praying and some let you stand. kneeling is more like a sign of respect to humble yourself before God.
same goes with covering your head with a scarf while praying for females. most christian females do this but my question is: what difference does it make?

there are some parts of religion that are just basic procedures. something you do that makes the religion unique. i don't see nothing wrong with it.

several Muslims have answered this question already and if their answers haven't satisfied anyone yet, then I'm sure there isn't any other answer that will satisfy you.

----

my tone in this post is mean. yeah i know. that's cause i can't stand muslim bashers. they suffer from esteem issues.
