Nairaland GeneralRe: 5 Ways To Achieve Instant Fame On Nairaland by WesleyanA(f): 11:08pm On Jun 18, 2006
"instant fame of Nairaland" cheesy
i still think the ratio of your number of post to the number of days you've been on here is the primary determining factor though. lol.
Nairaland GeneralRe: I Need To Know:love And Infatuation/crush,how Do U Differentiate by WesleyanA(f): 10:54pm On Jun 18, 2006
according to this site you should check out because it's cool ----->http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/hottopics/love/

LOVE comes in three stages:

Lust,
Attraction ("the truly love-stuck phase"wink and
Attachment.

if you  feel you "fell in love" with someone but break up a week later, it means you couldn't make it past the first or second stage of love.
maybe next time you could look for qualities both of you share that'll make you stay together longer. i don't know.
or go in when you know your ready for commitment.

RomanceRe: Guys like girls with skimpy dresses and tight trousers, but they won't marry them by WesleyanA(f): 10:27pm On Jun 18, 2006
because as men become mature and start looking into marriage, they look for different qualities in women.

a teenager or idk might be thinking boobs and butts, perverse e.t.c
but some guying looking to marry will be looking for honesty, RESPECT, trust e.t.c
FoodRe: Is Food Scarce In Nigeria? by WesleyanA(f): 4:21am On Jun 17, 2006
No, I am not! The only time I am hungry is when I am broke
but then many nigerians are broke + food is expensive

so if Nigerians say they're hungry, it's not because food is scarce but because they cant afford food. Because I remember when I used to live in Nigeria. My parents bought most of our food stuff when they go to their home towns because food's a lot cheaper there than the cities.
FoodRe: Why Do Girls Have To Cook? by WesleyanA(f): 3:02am On Jun 17, 2006
I really don't mind cooking. it's fun.

SVS, you should get married to a male chef. smiley they make lots of money, esp. if they work at 5 star restaurants/hotels.

FamilyRe: Would You Pay Your Children For Chores They Do? by WesleyanA(f): 1:58am On Jun 16, 2006
not really. i'll reward them though. Not pay them. . .
paying your kids to do chores mean you owe them for doing stuff for you.
rewarding your kids mean you appreciate what they do for you and want to encourage them.

i'll definitely pay them though if they perform jobs for me that are not just mere chores when they reach a certain age.
if i own a store and they work for me for a certain number of hours during the summer, that would be a job that demands pay.
but if they do stuff like washing the dishes or cleaning their rooms or the house. i might reward them (if they're diligent) with things HotAngel mentioned in her last post.

school's over so i'm going to be bored over the summer (at least for the most part until soccer season starts).

you go on google images, type in any random word and post any random picture on here (no obscene or provocative pics please!!) the pics shouldn't be too large or heavy (you know what i mean? ) and tell a story that continues the one above you in one or two sentences.

TravelRe: What Did You First Experience In The US? by WesleyanA(f): 2:14am On Jun 13, 2006
my stories aren't that great but I've gotten bruises on my knees (they're no longer there) for slipping on ice multiple times. embarassed

I put my head on the desk once because class was really boring and my teacher thought i had passed out or something.

people asked me if there were cars e.t.c in Nigeria for like the first 6 months i was here. that's really annoying.

i don't remember the good ones now but i'll post them later.

I do use pennies to pay for things. it's not illegal or anything. I've actually paid for something with a really bad/ torn dollar bill. I'm always broke so i really don't care. it sucks for the cashier (i do it at walgreens and i think she hates me). tongue i know people who do it to when they have no choice.

i don't like hot dogs so i never had a problem with that. what i had a problem with and still do is i eat slow (it runs in the family) i won't be half way through when lunch ends and i'll have to go through the rest of the periods with a half empty stomach. embarassed I eat faster now though. My brother is the slowest eater ever still (it takes him 1 hour to finish a bag of chips).

I used to get embarassed at a lot of things before if i don't know what something means or how to operate things.

i don't know about you guys but in my state (buses), people get out through the same doors they got in. only you can't come in through the back door (it's not open for entrance anyways). huh

RomanceRe: Why Are Some Successful Sisters Not Married? by WesleyanA(f): 11:58pm On May 30, 2006
and maybe they don't have the time for marriage.

most times, it takes more energy for a woman to become successful than for a man so maybe she doesn't want to get married right away?

If that's not it, there are many sucessful men in the world who make more money that they could get married to.
Condoleeza Rice for example could get married to someone more succesful but that'll interfere w/ her work.
