Huh.
There's a reason for this regime's wanton borrowing.
Nigeria is living on borrowed time. They're trying to squeeze out as much cash as they can before they country goes belly up.
What's more important is what constituent of the former country would be held responsible for the loan repayment.
Anyway, China is lending the money to Nigeria, not Oduduwa
Or Biafra
Or Arewanistan.

Looking at the photos we all know what's going on.

✓The Young guys driving benz are obviously into something not too far from illegal.

✓The police obviously knows this, hence they are bent on stopping them and collecting their share.

✓Things have gotten so bad in this country, that in situations like this, you don't even know who to support. Everybody is just wrong one way or the other.

Na family fight, make we rest jare!
What are you saying?
How is it obvious the men are "into something not too far from illegal" according to you?

We have become traumatized to the point that any man who is driving a second hand, albeit neat car, and is decently dressed, should be seen as a crook, right?
Apart from politicians (who are the biggest thieves) nobody else should drive a decent looking car, right?
If I earn my money legitimately, I should not buy whatever car I want, because police and my fellow citizens would view me as a crook, right?

Sorry, but Nigeria has happened to people who think the way you do.

They will make that silly claim, all right. Only same brainless twerps such as them would believe it. I know Ena Ofugara. We are friends on Facebook. His online presence there can't be denied.

Let it sink in: Except the very few numbers of Igbos who lived overseas by 1970, the richest Igbo man in Nigeria had a mere £20 as liquid asset to his name.

When you see a people who rose from the verge of extinction to become world beaters, wisdom directs that you make them your partner, rather than keep trying to subjugate them.
That is the tragedy called Nigeria. But it will definitely come to an end.

It is obvious that you're still a novice when it comes to politics. Do you think a minority can win presidential elections in Nigeria? What did you think made GEJ to align with Igbos? He knew his Ijaw people are too small to provide him a structural base. Now, if the Ijaws that are far more populous and influential than the Ikwerre, coupled with their militancy blackmail tool, couldn't give GEJ a strong base, is it a minute minority like Ikwerre with nothing to leverage on, that can give Amaechi a base??

Do you think that if Amaechi should face half of the attacks Tinubu has encountered that he can survive it? Who will deflate such attacks for him? Edwin Clark who is the most respected personality in the SS today has been clamouring for Igbo presidency. Do you think the Ijaws or the Ibibios or the Aniomas or the Urhobos will see Amaechi as their own??

Amaechi is just like an orphan with nobody to fight for him and he has no chance at all.
I suggest you quit arguing with that numbskull.
You only need to read the thread he created about why the north will support Amaechi to become president, to realize he is empty and a mere waste of time.

You needed to play cool with IPOB, to not condemn or support them.
So that at a time like this, you could make real potent threat with them and they will play along with you, because you have never antagonized them.

But you messed it up in Python dance and now you think IPOB will allow you to use them to negotiate for more power in Nigeria so that you will use the same power to crush IPOB and Biafra agitation in the region?

Think again. I expect Nnamdi Kanu to release counter message disgracing Nwodo and absolving themselves of any kind of cooperation with Nwodo and Ohanaeze.

How can Nwodo go to external war without first and foremost uniting his homestead? That's folly.

There will likely not be an Igbo president in 2023 as I believe the North will not give up power, and nothing will happen because Ohanaeze led by Nwodo don't control the youths and they are not on speaking terms with IPOB.
The worst that will happen is that Nwodo and gang will be compensated with lucrative contracts by the FG and they would all keep quiet.
Nwodo himself is aware of this.
Like a typical politician, he is merely trying to bargain for himself. Your last take, about him getting compensated is most likely what he's gunning for.

PoliticsRe: Ikwerre Are Not Igbos, BRACED Counters Amaechi's Claim That Ikwerres Are Igbos by whirlwind7(m): 6:00am On Aug 01, 2020
Parisian:
You have lots of Germans, Spanish, British, African Americans etc who have been in America from anywhere between 400 - 700 years yet these people know their history.

They know from whence they came. Their culture, language, traditions may have been completely eroded but they still know and can trace the origin of their ancestors.

This is the same with the ikwerres. You can't say "oh they have a similar culture and language to the igbos and hence must be igbos".... that is a primitive way of reasoning.

What matters and will always matter is where the ikwerres migrated from. If they migrated from the Bini kingdom like they say then they are rightly descendants of the Binis.

It is foolish to think you can know more about a people than the people themselves.

However, i think what can finally lay this issue to rest is an ancestry DNA test but even at that the igbos will say the test has been compromised by igbo haters that is if the test results show that the ikwerres are Binis by extension.
Hehehehe. Silly talk.
Truth is, Igbos once believed that Ikwerres were a part of us.
Events during and after the civil war cured many of us of that craze. The horrible thing the whole of Nigerians are still suffering from is ignorance about the events leading up to the war, largely because caliphate backed government has tried to remove it from being studied in history lessons.
If all those events were objectively recorded and secondary schools are mandated to make them part of the curriculum, any Ikwerre who claimed to be Igbo would get lynched on the spot.
Ikwerres in PH with support from FG, confiscated properties belonging to Igbos. Yet, you think a right thinking Igbo would see an Ikwerre as kin after that?

The Nigerian project has made many not to have a rational mind anymore. Failed country, failed people with an even worse sense of history.

Ikwerres are Binis, are Yorubas, are Igalas or even Kanuris. But not, and will never be, Igbos.

What are you insinuating?? Are you trying to tell me that, Ikweres are not in IPOB and ohaneze ndi Igbo?? Have you ask yourself, why ikwerres are in these groups if they don't see themselves as Igbo.

Stop being clever by half it is not every Igbo that is into buying and selling.
If radio Biafra is deluded, tell us what adjective we are to use in qualifying NTA and channels tv.

Saying that Ikwerre is not Igbo portrays you as agent of division and am sure that is what you came here to do.
You must be very slow to think that if you say Ikwerre is not Igbo somehow their Igbo identity will no longer exist.
A few numbers of Ikwerre folks can be found in IPOB, no doubt.
But that doesn't make the larger Ikwerre clan Igbos.
Most Igbos used to think so. Used to believe that Ikwerres are Igbos with their slightly different dialects. But it is the Ikwerres themselves who voiced it out publicly, especially in their socio-political group, ogbako Ikwerre, that they are not Igbos.
Gradually, we began to make sense of their actions during and after the war, when they seized houses belonging to Igbos in PH (a wicked action that no other ethnicity in Nigeria considered)
They changed the names of towns and villages from their wholesome Igbo names by prefixing letter "R" to them. Thus "Ụmụ" became "Rumu".
Their igbo-phobic outbursts became more strident. I have Elechi Amadi's comments on the issue. Several prominent Ikwerre sons lend their voice to it, that Ikwerres are not Igbos. That Ikwerres migrated from Bini. Why should we accept otherwise?
Governor Wike made a subtle, yet a very loud move, by renaming a state structure after Yakubu Gowon, something an Igbo man living or dead, would never contemplate.
He couldn't name it after Ken Saro Wiwa, Isaac Adaka Boro, or even if he has a hard on for ex military generals, why not guys like TY Danjuma, David Marks, or people like Lawrence Onoja?

No, he had to send a message to Igbos: your enemy is my friend. Amen smiley
You know what? Most Igbos were not surprised by that move. We already knew. We just moved on. Another day in the jungle.

No, Ikwerres aren't Igbos. No amount of self immolation you perform can change that fact. Ikwerres met Igbos for a few decades and "lost their Bini tongue", right? but other ethic groups like Ibibios, Idomas, Anangs, who have mixed with Igbos for thousands of years still retain their language and cultural identities. Why is that? Are the Ikwerres the most confused subhuman specie on planet earth?
We've separated too far to ever come back together. Ever.

#PROF.SC ACHINEWHU RESPONDED TO THE CRA'S ASSERTION THAT IKWERE IS IGBO WHICH HAS BEEN GENERATING WIDE FURORE AFTER I SYNDICATED IN ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

Proff Simeon Achinewhu just wrote on Akalaka/Ochichi Platform:

"I am responding to this statement of :"Ikwerre is Igbo" I am very sorry for the ignorant Ikwerre man or woman who does not know the History of his/her ethnic group. I have stated before that when I was a boy in the 40s we here the exclamation Ikwerre Ochichi. It was later in life that attempts were made by ethnic groups to research and compile their Histories independently. When these Histories were published, there was serious similarity in the History of Ekpeye, Ogba and Ikwerre. They all had the same Hostory of two brothers Akalaka and Ochichi who left Bini Kingdom in the 13th century because of disturbance and eventually settled after several trips through thick forest and water ie Niger River,Orashi and Sombreiro Rivers and settled in their present abodes.Akalaka the senior was father to Ekpeye and Ogba while Ochichi was father to Ikwerre.I connected this to the Ikwerre Ochichi I heard in the 40s as a village boy. The first neighbours Ikwerre man encountered was the Riverine people of Kalabari and Okrika.Ikwerre man had no contact with an Igbo man until the 19th century only after the advent of the white man when roads were opened. The climax was in I913 on the acquisition of Port Harcourt from the Rebisi people. The white man was looking for labourers and the Ikwerre and the surrounding neighbours ie Kalabari, Okrika and Eleme refused to be labourers. The white man therefore had to penetrate the Igbo hinterland and recruited very willing labourers. That was the beginning of Igbo man's adventure into Ikwerre. The administrative arrangement of the white man wrongly posited Ikwerre and other people of Southern Nigeria into Eastern region dominated by the Igbos. The 4 cardinal points are East West North and South. Nigeria was wrongly divided into North East and West. The area called the Niger Delta is the geographical South. The Ikwerre man would have clearly been a Southerner and not an Easterner.Ojukwu followed that mistake and included the Niger Delta people in his Biafra and that was why Biafra failed. The people of Niger Delta escorted the Nigerian through local bush paths to cut off or ambush the Biafran soldiers which led their defeat. This happened through out what is now Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwalbom and Cross River State. Ikwerre is intimately associated with the Niger.Ikwerre has distinct culture, tradition, dressing, dancing including masquerade, topography etc quite different from the Ibos.Name does not make an Ikwerre man an Ibo. A person answering a name similar to Igbo name does not make a man an Igbo. There are so many Nigerians answering English names or shall we report Goodiuck Jonathan to Uk"
The silly professor avoided to comment on what would have nullified his feverish rambling. He didn't say how come their language is similar to Igbo than anything originating from Edo/Bini.

I don't blame him though. I blame Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB minions, who keep courting these confused and useless group that have nothing but hatred fuelled by envy for the majority Igbos.
