This public notice is unnecessary. He’s already on Life Sentence, that should be enough. His innocent family, kindred and community are the ones suffering the shame now.

Must you punish all for the sins of one?

No, he's not. I'm from the SE. we don't do that here.
Though it is up for argument, every form of punishment is meant to serve as a deterrent, right?
I don't fully support this form of public shaming, but I understand why it was done. So, I'm neither for it nor against it until supporting evidences show proofs.
Also consider that some islamic countries castrate male rapists. How extreme is that compared with this? cheesy

No it doesn't, except you meant south west and south south.

I'm fairly certain you will buy your plot of land and build whatever you want at Anambra state without the inidgenes harassing you for any 'deve' fees
You're not totally right. Depends on the part of Anambra though.
For places like Obosi, close to Onitsha, you will pay "deve" (though they don't use that term)

This "deve" is short for development levy. What make places in the south notorious is that different factions of youths (or thugs) could keep coming one after the other to demand for it. You just need tact and be familiar with their leaders to wriggle your way out of most of their silly demands.
This levy is tasked in almost every part of Igboland. You may not get to pay it if you are an indigene of the location. But once you are not (even if you are from that state) you would be levied.

I'm speaking from experience. I've paid such fee at places like Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki and Enugu.

Can you please confirm the price for cement in Port harcourt
Cement prices went high since the past couple of weeks. Almost everywhere in the south, it is selling for about ₦3000 to ₦3200!

Prices in the north are generally below that (₦2,700 on the average)
Was told it will likely reduce in the coming days. But I fear it may not go back to the former prices of ₦2500 to ₦2600.

She can't read or write.

Yet, this olodo ikorodureporta referred to her as "top surgeon" and "future of African medicine"

I see a serious revolution coming. and for those of

you doubting, have you read about the Arab spring
and studied how it started? A time is coming
when Men/Women will wish they were Nigerians

John Elton prophesied it about forty years ago. In his words which I'll paraphrase. "Nigeria will be known for corruption all over the world. The name Nigeria will be synonymous to corruption. But in a short while, Nigeria will rise again, anyone who lays hold of a Nigerian will say I will go with you...............

Let's keep praying for the ongoing revolution
Comparing this with Arab spring is a waste of time.
Nigeria is a cacophony of different value systems, different interests, different outlooks and world view.

If you're waiting on that time when the entire country would spontaneously burst into an uprising, then you'll grow old and grey and some more...
Everyone (and I mean everyone, including the politicians, and even the NPF) knows that SARS should be scrapped because the outfit has become a terror to all. Yet, we have some of these people sponsoring counter protests in support of SARS.
Many in the north largely still sees nothing wrong with it...
The Arab spring was organic. It was from people with same heritage, culture, language, tradition and interests. That was why it was overwhelming. Your northern brothers are even rejoicing that many of the victims are southerners.

What could be achievable is if the south build a formidable alliance and decide they've had enough of the north's hegemony. Even that has it's limitation, as the south hasn't learned to trust each other yet.

PoliticsRe: Say No To Division Of Nigeria by whirlwind7(m): 4:51pm On Sep 29, 2020
Fortune118005:

Please let this article be in front page

Shey u want Nigeria to be divided?
U want Biafra?
U want to b ur own nation,
U wat to own ur own currency,
U want to make ur decisions,
U want the igbos to rule,
But all u do is sit down in ur house, pressing ur phone and opening ur mouth waaaa,
Without looking at the bigger picture,
Without actually looking at the disadvantages of this supposed freedom,
I see some post here shouting Biafra this and that, oduduwa this and that,u want freedom from Nigeria,u wanted to destroy a relatively peaceful country,
U want to form ur own country as one tribe‍♀️
Lemme quickly point out the little negativities we will face If the division of this country is given a thought,
I don't know much about the yorubas so i.will center this post mainly on the igbos and Biafra.
What are our plans:
Division of a country is not just something u wake up in the morning and u want to do,
There has to be plans, decisions, strategies,on how u plan to stand alone,
If the plan to divide Nigeria does go thru, the amount of suffering we are currently undergoing via unemployment will be tripled and the generation to suffer from it will be this our present generation and the one probably ahead of it,
Cus it takes time to settle in,
It takes time to get an international recognition,
U can't just walk around countries like dat with ur certificate bearing the name Biafra on it,
Because clearly not every country supports Biafra as a nation and won't allow any citizen of the country in theirs to avoid wars of any sort from there rival country Nigeria,
Also not every country or companies inside countries recognizes Biafra as a country,
U can hardly secure any job outside of Nigeria with a Biafra certificate, and if we don't part in good terms with our mother country Nigeria, there won't even be any work there for u,cus clearly there will be stigmatization and u will be fished out as victims of dis disaster.

How many years will it take Biafra to actually stand, how about the development of the country itself, the Nigeria land will be owned majorly by the hausas, and there land are known richly for there production of some raw materials we export for revenue development, materials like tomatoes, onions, leaves rice, beans etc,
They are the best farmers,
How many years will it take Biafra to rebuild the hospitals, schools, companies, churches and other stuffs owned by Nigeria b4 it was divided, that's if we don't seperate peacefully.

And the major factor promoting this division of Nigeria is the anger of corrupt leaders and politicians,
The anger guiding the fact that no Igbo person has ever ruled Nigeria since it's conception ,
This is understandable, but is Biafra any better,
Do u think u can live peacefully for even a mere 10yrs,
Do u think if Biafra is born that the leaders will b any better, our situation will be any better than what it is today,
Then I think u r blind,dumb and prolly stupid,no offence though,
Let's put it on a lower scale:some of the minority troubles Nigerians are facing today are from the igbos, dragging lands,
Greed for money,
Promoting relationship influence in decision makings, hate speeches,
Stigmatization, bribery and corruption, money laundering, fraud etc.
And all these factors amongst our selves,is the love there?
Is the leadership qualities there?
How about justifications of crimes, is it possible under Igbo ruling,
Prior to our states being ruled by our respective tribes,
Are there any developments?all u see is it not still some greedy leaders who cares only for them selves, gathering enough money for themselves and there families and generations after,
Are they any better from the hausas we are running away from,
Have they proven them selves to be any better,
Have they made us proud, have they fulfilled any promises they made to us
If the igbos can't rule a state positively, how about a country, a country housing their tribe's,do u think they will be any different decisions, or different consequence, will the greed disapear or will the hunger become even more, will the pains go away , will they award positivity to were it's due,and if these things don't go as plan as we want them to,
Who will stand up to them,
The hausas are gone and so are the yorubas,
Who will defend against them,
They r our brothers afterall,
How do we cope and build from the scratch again?

Conclusion to what am trying to say,
Despite the pains I go thru admitting this truth,
The truth stands that the hausas are the ones holding this country
They are the ones bringing the peace amongst the yorubas and the igbos,u might not see it,but that's the truth, they might not be the best, maybe they are probably the worst, but no Igbo ruler will do any different, thy will still pack the money for their future generations same will the yorubas,
The problem of Nigeria remains the fact that we don't build for the future rather we look at the past,if u can't live with three major ethnic group, in one Nigeria,
Do u think u can stand alone as one Biafra, with only the Eastern tribe to rule,
Do u think there will be peace or we will be any different from nigeria,
Not many countries will divide and conquer, some divide and the both country become powerless, such is the case of the Czech republic and the slovakia.
The truth is if we divide this country, there are many ways we will regret it, irrespective of all these wars and difficulties we re currently facing,
We won't be respected or regarded as the giant and pride of Africa, our resources will be split and wasted amongst greedy leaders,
Our currency will depreciate and probably lose its value, there will be little peace, adaptations will be major factor, tribalism will set up,
Our stands in the world rank will also pretty much depreciate.
I still believe in United we stand and divided we fall✊
I still believe in one Nigeria.
I believe there are countries coping in conditions worst than ours and they re still striving, striving not cus they love pains and suffering, striving cus they achieve more together,
Pls let's join our hands and say no to the division of Nigeria,
If the igbos want there voices to be heard b4 there will be peace, then I think they should b given the mantle of leadership in Nigeria, while we cross our fingers and hope that the country becomes better for all of our gains♥️♥️✊

P.s:some of my facts might not be true or my stats considered rubbish, but it's my opinion and it should be respected,
And also am not a student of government so I might not be right at some points, tnx.
Start by telling yourself that remaining a tenant for life is better than trying to own your own house, because you would suffer a lot before the house is completed and ready to be moved into.
Think about it.

Who said it would be easy?
Asswipes such as you would never take any risk or venture into being self reliant or become your own boss.
Shove your silly advise up your ass.
If Igbos had achieved Biafra in 1970, they would have suffered for several years, and then they would acquire their bearing...and then go ahead to build a formidable state.
You know why? Because change is a constant.

But twerps like you are scared of change.
Twerps like you would remain in bondage with the false hope that "one day e go better"

Pure murder. The crime scene is very unrelated to suicide. The killers did a very poor job.
Pointers:
He was probably killed before his body was lifted to the noose.. See the folded part on his trouser indicating he was lifted.
No stool or block to have giving him the height he needed to hang himself. How did he climb up to the noose?? If you say the hole in the walls then he should have been facing backwards and his foot should also be dusty and bruised.
He is scared of dying from covid by wearing a mask but took his life by hanging? Haba. Poor job by the criminals.. Let them check how much was left for him to complete the instalment money.. Some people fit kill person so the bike will be theirs even when the instalment money is almost completed.
You made sense.
But here's another angle for motive:
The victim is an only son of his late father
He lived with his uncle (father's brother)

His uncle could have planned his death, so he could take over the late father's property.

No intention of making the society better. All that matters is who and what will bring more money for them.
Their greed and wickedness is boundless.

Same Oshiomole whom the whole of Nigeria loved when he was heading NLC, and would have gone on to become president if he had continued with his championing of the masses.
That love was what made Edo people vote him as governor. Same way the people rallied behind Obaseki now.
But Oshiomole forgot those who made him become what he is today. He trod on them. He made himself godfather after the people made him a father. Same godfather position he declared is over after the people helped him overcome Igbinedion dynasty.
I just wish there's justice that can strip him of all the wealth he has stolen from the people.
