Ok. They've been keeping records. I think it would bring the message home if they pictures of the victims are collected and printed on a huge banner, to be displayed at a public place where it will be a constant reminder to everyone. People keep dying needlessly. Its that cheap. |
spyder880:I can see you spread polythene sheets over the woods. What's the implication of this? I was told it would make plastering the concrete ceiling difficult, as the polythene will make the bottom surface too smooth for the mortar to stick to. |
ScorpioMoon:While I agree with you, one thing you should know is, most of those trees you are referring to were planted. Caucasians make it a point to plant trees around their homes. Those tree lined boulevards and avenues were planned. The trees didn't just appear. Those seemingly natural aerial views are mostly landscaped with carpet grasses and selected trees. I'm not excusing Nigeria's situation, mind you. Those treeless and dusty looks are eyesores. |
bumi10:This self righteous comments of yours are irritating |
Phyqee10: ![]() See who's talking. You guys are so quick to use foul language on others. Pls, go to front page and click on that thread first. It has been removed. And tell me, oh wise one: what other book is the Quran to be compared with? A dictionary? Blind man accusing someone else of being myopic. |
lonelydora:I was surprised when I tried to read that thread, and it showed that it has been removed or hidden. On the front page, for that matter. Of course, Seun and his goons wouldn't bother to remove it if it were referring to a christian or the bible. Perhaps Ishaq Akintola has joined the moderators here. Coming from the same set of people asking for justice. |
![]() Why else? You got your answer: they want to get high. Get high and escape the realities imposed on them by a worsening economy and its implications. When you see a man in his mid thirties who is still living with his parents, and haven't got much hope of escaping from that pitiful life soon, you might understand. What's more, most guys who are gainfully employed and plotting brighter lives for themselves, won't be obsessed with taking trams for enhanced sex performance. Most of those who do, do so because they haven't got much of anything else other than sex to compel their girls to stay. These drugs are POMs. Prescription only medicines. But the proprietors of these pharmacy outlets prefer the fast buck to waiting for clients to produce a doctor's prescription. We are seeing a tip of the iceberg. Perhaps you don't realize it, but cocaine and heroin are much easily obtainable in the streets nowadays. That's right! It will keep spiralling.....until we have a truly responsible government who is willing and able to put his foot down. Presently, we have a government who cares more for cows than humans. If you consider how a larger percentage of the population in northern Nigeria has been addicted to sniffing gums and ingesting cough syrup for its codein (including women and kids) just to escape the hopelessness, then you might begin to put the scale of the impending doom in its proper perspective. |
Clean ride. If it were manual transmission, I would have snapped it up. Wait.... Is this manual? |
velai:Hmmm. For you perhaps. At first glance, that might look like a harmless activity, but.... Its got every shade of wrong with it! Yes, its no offence to sit in a bar. Yes, its no offence to drink coca cola Emmm...patronize a roadside manicurist/pedicurist? Let's leave that for last. Sitting at a bar, where foods and drinks are served and consumed, and you are clipping your nails while there? Totally, absolutely wrong!!! You might as well sit there and have a haircut. Its the same thing, believe it or not. You are removing unwanted body parts (hair and nails are made of same material-keratin. And they both harbour potentially harmful microorganisms) Even it is wrong for you to clip your own nails while in your own kitchen! You don't need to take my word for it. Its a free world. Finally, that roadside manicurist, how certain are you that his equipment are properly sterilized before he used it on you? I mean, for an educated human being in this 21st century not finding anything wrong with that is sickening! You mean to tell me that you are ignorant of one of the modes of transmission of HIV, hepatitis and other nasties?? This is not about morality. It is about knowing what's right and what's not. What's healthy and what's not...and who's enlightened and who's not. Obviously, you and that lawmaker up there belong to the latter. |
Very sad |
Shayneward1:There are some comments here that don't make much sense. However, yours carry the cake for being downright senseless. The only statement here I can relate with is that about Buhari remaining neutral. Are you confusing Palestine for Pakistan, or what? |
blues343:Did you even read the story? Check the second paragraph. That's exactly what she did. She bought a ticket for the peacock. |
"Fallen heroes" ![]() The FG will award them posthumous national honors, and give them a full national burial. Then the military will go on a parade, which ends with 21 gun salutes. Next, the CDS will make a fiery speech vowing to crush the enemies of the state that dared to lay hands on its first class citizens. The president of the federal republic has given a direct order to that effect. Hell and damnation shall be let loose on every living creature within a hundred mile radius of where this abomination took place. There shall be no mercy! Only the first class citizens are given carte blanche to kill and destroy! A lesson must be taught! |
Best to leave the people chart their own course, and identify where they belong. Haven't seen a more confused group of people in Naija. Understandably, some ethnic groups among them share some cultural traits with people down south, while some are oriented more with tribes from the north. In Nigeria's chequered political history, there has never really been a good time to be of the "middle belt". If they really pull their weight, that region should be calling the shots in a lot of national affairs. But as it is, they are in a state of perpetual confusion. Perhaps the Fulanis and their herdsmen will wake them up from this never ending slumber. |
spyder880:That's good to know. For a moment there, I feared that our people are losing touch. ![]() |
MediumStout:Your ignorance is dangerous, but thankfully, its not infectious.
|
kitaatita:Yeah. It is up to each state's house of assembly to investigate such irregularities. With the way governors heavily influence such members, especially when they belong to same party, we know its already a waste of time. |
spyder880:No one on hand to suck out the final drops of nkwu enu from those palm trees? This is painful. |
spyder880:Yeah, I remember this old entrance, which was the initial one, before more lands were added. This old entrance needed a culvert to be built, because of a small stream across it, right? Well, it was plan A, when the estate was planned, but later became plan B, due to addition of more plots from the rear. So, is it to go back to the initial plan A, and make a culvert? |
![]() You should have said it while he was alive. What difference does your speech make? If you were that discerning, you ought to have compared Ekweme's antecedents with that of the dinosaur you helped railroad into Aso rock, before backing him. |
Sirjamo:Jamorudeen. ![]() Haven't you realized that with the sort of "military democracy" Buhari's government is practicing, the people who wield real power are the military and security agencies? Buhari can have an NCO flog your exalted minister of finance out of her office with a superior Hausa koboko, and nothing much will happen. He ignored court judgements too, and nothing happened. Just in case you are thinking that the minister would sue. |
Mynd44:Just like that, and BAM!! You came to this conclusion. You are one of the mods, aren't you? |
![]() When backward scums have such brain dead relics as their leaders and men of thought. He must think modern warfare is won by rag tag mob wielding machete, bows and arrows. Warfare is now a game of modern weapons, and not just the number of foot soldiers you have. If it were not for the fact that Fulanis are being armed by northern elites who also support them through the police and military, by now, entire regions would have slaughtered them in their millions. Oh, so the Fulani is the largest tribe in Nigeria? Amazing. |
Bros! I must say you are looking very healthy and cool in that video! ![]() This is no joke o. I'm comparing your looks with what I saw 3 years ago. Your appearance is a good testimony about how farming has evolved so far. All the best! |
Classic! That's one subtle way for FG to extricate itself from the menace. Since state governors cannot directly issue orders to the police or civil defence, I hope FG will not declare state vigilantes illegal? I absolutely believe that once rampaging killer herdsmen gets killed by state controlled vigilantes, FG will unleash the army on them. This is another reason why state police should be established. The only reason the FG backed out of the crazy cattle colony idea is because states in the south rejected it. Why didn't FG go ahead with it after 16 states in the north accepted the cattle colony plan? |
fulaniHERDSman: ![]() But your moniker indicates that you are one of them. Is that how you would describe yourself? As "wretched ragtag subhuman. Filth, scums, lowest of the low of sapiens" That's cold and deep. |
The owner of the cows went through a legal process to seek justice, and that's quite commendable. Quite certain he didn't choose the violent way because the ex naval chief also have armed guards at his disposal. Now the farm owner can sue for the damages done to his farmland. Let's see how the court handles that. Here's the first piece of farmer-cattleherder dispute that didn't end in bloodshed. Nice! |
helphelp:Idiots are very easy to identify. Just listen to what they say or read what they type. The day was a Sunday. Its written there. Even on weekdays, people do take lunch breaks in the afternoon, don't they? |
Such a pity. FG said the killer herdsmen are foreigners, they are members of Islamic State, West Africa branch. Now, defence minister is telling Benue state governor to "accommodate the foreigners" ![]() Foreigners who entered into the country illegally are meant to be accommodated? Buhari consciously appointed his brain dead Fulani kinsmen to be heads of sensitive security agencies. Imagine what a defence minister is spitting out. FG said the killings in Benue is due to the anti open grazing bill just signed into law. That the law should be repealed. Meanwhile, these killings still persists in states where no such law exists. Plateau, Taraba, Adamawa, Delta, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun and other states have no such laws, yet herdsmen still kill in those states. So, the anti grazing law in Benue isn't what is causing the killings. People should know that Fulani herdsmen don't need any reason to kill. They are on a quest. A jihad. A long term plan of conquest. Anyone who welcomes them is courting death and destruction. Now that their kinsmen are the heads of all security agencies in the country, as well as the president, they have become more daring and bold. No arrests, no prosecution, and their members openly display rifles in a country that such is illegal...and you think you are under same law as them? Don't live under the delusion that they are only after grass to feed their cattle. |
spyder880:I'm hoping for a positive confirmation of this by next week. It can only get better. |
![]() Did anyone expect otherwise. If the 4th deadliest terror group doesn't support their grand patron, who else will? Waiting for Boko Haram and Shekau's endorsement. ISWA as well. |
