True this, but is the military so dumb that they will send troops with clearly identifiable tags to do such dirty jobs. They started by removing cameras at toll gate but didn't think of sending "unknown soldiers" to do the dirty job.
But either way Buhari is responsible for lives and property in the country and he has failed woefully

You all should calm down, not defending this, never going to defend killing of innocent people. I was only trying to highlight how the administration has been so cunning not to leave any trail that could get them into trouble. I hope that their plans fail though. This must never go unpunished.
Everything was carefully planned from soldiers joining protesters in many parts of the country to thugs hijacking. That was when we should have restrategised and moved to the negotiation stage.

I doubt this. Na overdo kill the protests. All the demands were accepted by the government and the rogue police unit was dissolved. We wanted to hear from the president, he talked. Is there any of the demands that the government hasn't agreed to? States are already falling into lawlessness and disorder. You expect government to fold their hands and allow half the country to burn? Curfew was declared in Lagos to stop the attacks going on but we still no gree.
There hasn't been any hard evidence to be used against the government but the army will is also overdoing stuffs and will do more in the coming days.
And to think that not a single soldier has been caught on camera shooting protesters. I believe the cameras at the toll gate were removed for this reason.
Osun has also declared curfew.
The federal government has been very careful not to get its hands dirty in this.

The vegetation is so high that you won't detect an ambush right in front of you.
Sadly SOS expressed his fears about this just few days ago. Check his Instagram page to see how thick and high the vegetation is.
We just want to keep on doing things the same way and expecting different results. Sadly this stupidity costs the lives of heroes.

Not even a scout helicopter to scout ahead of the column.
And to think the offensive hasn't even started

Honestly, we need to do something about the remaining MI-35s. CAATSA sanctions will remain regardless of who wins the election. It is a bullying tactic to ensure countries have little choice apart from patronizing US arms industries and American politicians have benefited massively. Many are not even happy that we are getting capable platforms like the Tucanos at all sef. This is the time for policy change in Nigeria, we cannot continue to stand on the fence where our national security is threatened.

Honestly, Nigerian army needs to invest in long range artillery. Talk about around 60km range. Magumeri is just 45km from Maiduguri, 2 weeks of shelling guided by UAVs will soften the town up but sadly our best artillery don't even have up to 30km range.

There is a town called Magumeri which is one hour drive from Maiduguri on Gubio-Damasak road.

ISWAP has warned they don't want any Military FOB there. Any day the military deploys soldiers there ISWAP attacks same day. Over a year now Soldiers were deployed twice and were dislodged by ISWAP.

The town has become a major supply route for ISWAP to move stuffs from Magumeri to Gudzamala to Kukawa and Abadam so they can avoid Monguno axis.

Could you please help name the towns that are under BH/ISWAP control and those contested too.

Strangely, all other members of the multinational joint task force have been largely defensive. Let's just hope it is in preparation for a major offensive.

Russia has been resupplying Armenia through Iran, Russia can't do more than that as both countries are former soviet republics and Russia has hopes of swaying both countries to its side. They want to have more countries like Belarus around them.
It seems as if US is on Azerbaijan's side. The loitering munitions widely used by Azerbaijan is made in Israel and several cargo planes have made trips between Israel and Azerbaijan since the war began. In fact Armenia has recalled her Ambassador to Israel in protest to continued Israeli arming and support for Azerbaijan. Washington can stop that but Washington is not willing to. Washington can enforce an arms embargo on Azerbaijan but Washington has her own games.
When Armenia stops siting on the fence and picks a side between Russia and US, they will get the benefit of a trusted and loyal ally.
It took Russia less than a day to deploy two plane loads of troops after Bolton threatened Venezuela and two US bombers harrased the country.
The politics in this war is far beyond religion.

Truth is always the first casualty of war, I've seen journalists claiming this is just cheap propaganda. It may be true or not but if Armenia wants ceasefire, they know who to go to.

This war has been cold since March. 9 months is more than enough for many such trainings but then......

The truth is that slots are given to every important politicians in these country as regards recruitment into any government agency or institution, but the problem is that our own leaders sell their slots to the highest bidder. Just take a look at the issue of the 774000 jobs FG is planning on creating, the only thing that they are after is how they will get more slots when the whole process was already very transparent (1000 people from each local government). They even went as far as sabotaging the programme when FG did not yield to their demands. Now ask yourself, what exactly are they after?
Even after the revelation of the DSS recruitment scandal, how many of the southern leaders have actually raised their voice?
It is exactly the same way in every recruiting exercise.
Even in things as simple as university admission, every professor, HOD, local government chairman, traditional ruler, house of rep member, senator has slots. It is what we all know. Until we start doing things transparently, this will always be the end result.
Many of our leaders are into politics for money, while many of theirs are into politics for more influence and they are willing to spend as much money as they have to get as many influence as they can get.

Exactly what I was about saying. It's been more than six months since they were delivered yet they've not been deployed. Not even the artilleries. And since General Adeniyi left the theater, we've not heard of any offensive. It seems as if the army is okay with playing defensive while the airforce is on an attack spree.

Turkey has the 2nd largest military in NATO, and by far the biggest in Europe. They are a significant power in their region, however the fact is, the big countries like Russia simply do not have the appetite for direct confrontation with Turkey.

The Turkish military would be destroyed in a direct combat with Russia.

When the Russian pilot was shot down by Turkey, how did the Kremlin react, it was Turkey that came back begging.

The Drones Turkey makes have been crucial from Syria, to Libya and now the NK conflict in Armenia, but you need to remember the parts for those drones are western and imported.

Look at the sale of T-129 helicopters to Pakistan, completely grounded.

Armenian air defences are old OSA systems. The Pantsir also proved nearly incompetent against Drones, but as soon as Syria for example employed Buk systems, the Drone problem almost vanished.

The Tor system has also been fantastic in dealing with drones.

This Azerbaijan vs Armenia conflict has shown that militaries around the world need to keep up with trends as far as weapons development is concerned.

Also, they are a member NATO, wars that they know they can't fight or won't get the support of NATO, they beg to avoid such wars. They've been able to blackmail EU several times. They've made many enemies and lost many allies but they still get their way with most things. They had a confrontation with Greece recently, most NATO members supported Greece, Turkey decided to go for the diplomatic option. They know what they are doing.

Maybe we are underestimating the country.
They seem to have gotten away with everything they've done.
Even the Turkey producing the drones being used to destroy Armenian air defense systems recently purchased air defense systems from Russia.

Turkish drones have proven themselves and the missiles are made in turkey too. Russian air defense systems have shown that they are just useless junk. If they had s400 it would be in flames by now

Armenia fields very old soviet Era air defense systems like the Osa AD. No report on destruction of newer systems like S300 yet.
