The loses are Pretty even, Armenia has also lost 130 tanks and armored vehicles, 25 air defense systems and close to 2k killed and wounded (source is from the Azerbaijani government so might be exaggerated but footages being released are somewhat supporting this.

Honestly, if Russia doesn't get involved very soon, Armenia might lose this round. Almost all Armenian frontline air defense systems are destroyed already and the Azerbaijani side are now focusing their drone strikes on reinforcement and resupply routes.
This isn't the first time that the Armenians would be facing Azerbaijan UAVs but the drones being used in this episode are very quiet and almost impossible to detect overhead.

That's not the only reason why anyone would consider an armed drone naw. There's nothing the drone is doing that any armed drone won't be able to do.

Obviously, which was why I said "Nigeria should consider drones from Turkey". They should do assessment and fund out if it fits into their needs.
Who knows, it might be cheaper than other drones from the west and more durable/maintainable than drones from China and some other countries.
Considering Turkey is desperately looking for ways to increase its influence all over the world, we might be able to get ToT or other important perks from them.

Azerbaijan is really dominating the war with Turkish drones. Nigeria should consider drones from turkey. They've proven very effective in almost all theaters they've been seen. From Syria to Libya and now Azerbaijan-Armenia. The footages I saw were very clear and the strike very accurate. It will be a game changer, not only for counterinsurgency but also in regional power plays if we can have a squadron of those drones.

We live in an unjust world, some countries do it and get away with it while others are punished brutally. If you fight another nation over a territory that wasn't yours and you win, it will forever remain occupied territory as long as it is in your hand and depending on what you do in that territory, you could be prosecuted for war crimes.

There are at least 4 UNSC resolutions dating back to 1993 urging Armenia to withdraw its forces from Azerbaijan territory. All were ignored.

From early reports, it seems Azerbaijan launched a massive air campaign on a territory internationally recognized as Azerbaijan territory but occupied by Armenian troops. Both countries have declared martial law and have deployed heavy forces to the contested region. It might be a long war.

It is now very obvious that Baga town is very strategic and important to BH/ISWAP. A normal thinking individual knows that should be a major target of the military right now if not the most important, but then these people will never fail to disappoint. First all areas adjacent to the town should be cleared totally. Then the town should be cut off from other settlements and supply route. If possible, a supercamp should be established in the town with same fortification as maiduguri or mongunno..... Ditch all around with very limited access points. If we can deny the terrorist access to the land, then we have successfully removed one of their major source of revenue and we will have a very strong base in Northern Borno/lake Chad region from which to lunch attacks on BH/ISWAP camps.
If the establishment of the supercamp and subsequent fortifications are not done with incredible speed, it will just lead to a massive slaughter of NA soldiers. Capturing and securing Baga is key to capturing and securing all other settlements in Northern Borno like Doro Gowon etc.
The military will have to invest in utility helicopters to supply troops in Baga because the town is located 50km from Mongunno and 35km from kukawa(not sure but let's assume it's controlled by Nigeria) providing lots of opportunities for ambushing on roads.
After capturing and fortifying Baga town, same thing must also be done with Doro gowon within weeks of not subsequently(logistics might be a constraint here but doing it subsequently has massive advantages; devising BH/ISWAP forces) because the town is barely 5km from Baga and can be used to launch attacks on Baga.
Easier said than done but can still be done. Do these and we've largely defeated BH/ISWAP and the military can focus on other parts of the country like North west, Middle belt and parts of North Central riddled with all sorts of criminal elements.
And at this stage, Nigerian army should be doing all it can to protect officers who have gathered loads of experience on counter insurgency for several years so they can teach younger generations.

Black hawk down comes to mind. This should teach them lessons to always have disabling communications in mind whenever they are going on such operations. They have the capability but they are just lazy. If a terrorist/rebel is generous to the people around his locality, it will be very easy for him to evade suprise attacks. The official story is that some kids threw stones at the train and were chased off by the police, one was arrested. If it was bandits, why didn't they obstruct the railine and wreak as much havoc as they want instead of firing just one shot?

It depends on how they are coordinated and controlled.
All levels of government in US have their own law enforcement agencies ; sheriff and police departments at the local level, highway/interstate patrol at the state level and FBI at the federal level. The vigilantes can serve as the law enforcement agencies at the local government level with lesser jurisdiction and authority than state police. If they are well monitored, they will do well. The federal police is just too understaffed and underfunded to work as the sole law enforcement agency in Nigeria. The population and land mass is just too massive. It is because of this that terrorist and bandits are able to carve out territories for themselves in many forest across Nigeria.

And concerning the rising security challenges in the country, it's high time state and local governments started coordinating and funding local vigilante groups and hunters to destroy emerging criminal organizations while they are still in their infancy. The federal police is severely underfunded and even if they are well funded, they can't cope with the current situation. The military is overstretched and they shouldn't even be concerned with law enforcement. If each local government has its own unit of local law enforcement agents, many of the villages and towns being disturbed in the north would have been able to fight back, at least to some extent. That will go a long way in sabotaging the growth of these organizations. And these local vigilantes and hunters know far more about their environment than any police officer/soldier will ever know.

Imagine how the capacity of DICON, NAMVC, Proforce and many other industries both military and civil will be greatly improved if our steel industry was working. Last I heard about ajaokuta was the MOU signed in Russia. Any update on it?

Sometimes last month, I read an article about how kogi state government used local vigilantes and hunters to dislodge kidnapper hideouts in the forests around the Lokoja to Abuja road, that is how things should be not calling on the military everytime. Army is now fully out of Ezugwu business, it's NA established NAVMC has been officially dissolved and legally ceased to be a corporate entity by end of 2019. A new company Eagle Engineering Nigeria Limited with civilian status was formed to take over from NAVMC that had military status before its legal dissolution.

FGN thru The Presidency took over Ezugwu to ensure it's survival, The Presidency is afraid that if left to Army hands, the Ezugwu will end up dead like the Igirigi APC wasted by the Army around 2016.

Since President Buhari campaigned with promise of creating a new medium capacity military industrial complex and it has not started any project for it, after Buhari's inauguration of the Ezugwu, he decided to adopt it as FGN project off taker for his military industrial complex, he is funding it via budget and grants via DICON.

This take over action of FGN will guarantee long term survival of Ezugwu MRAP and further advanced variant development as a DICON product for local market now, and export market future.
