They say men should not cry, but I tell you guys, I have not only been crying but weeping. To the advice you gave@twinkle, I think I have a chance with my other four applications, I might likely get admitted by Tum and the enrollment is online. The other unis too have their enrollment around October. I only would like to know if, after the apologies like someone advised it is better to apply with this 21th September admission letter so I can get a better date. Or better still apply with the admission letter of the other schools if I get any other one. I am still going to ask for an extension like you advised here. I only want to know which is better when the time comes. I know all I am doing now is permutation. I just can't help it
Mein bruder, tut mir Leid oh!
The happenstance has happened. Wipe those tears as they change nothing. Ask for enrollment extension from your school. Bug them more with calls than emails. Stop worrying about the bolded as you could get other admission(s) within these 3wks, with possible enrollment in absentia. It could be a blessing. And you should know by now that visa appointments are not on a first come, first serve basis. You might be scheduled for as soon as 1st week of Sept for your interview!
I hope all goes well.

Oh Ogaga, I remember you well now. It was you who guided me on the correct size of the biometric photo as we were proceeding into the embassy. I am so sorry about this case. The advice given by Twinkle and Crowns is valid. You just have to wait: nothing can be done. I can't say that I know how you feel but I am also quite unhappy that it happened to you this way. Let us see what happens by tomorrow. Their response to your mail will help the house know how best to advice you.

Please don't be too sad.

P.S. Is there anything that can be done to check the excesses of those two Igbo men (no tribalism intended) at the embassy gate? I think that they do more harm than good: I saw one of them shouting at an elderly man and his wife, when he could have asked them to leave politely.

I don't know sha. huh
Are they now 2? shocked shocked
PoliticsRe: The 10 Most Richest People Of All Time by Williamso(m): 8:05pm On Aug 01, 2015
This list shouldn't be richest people of all time. More like "most economically powerful people of all time".

Quite an interesting read though.

I got it from this post ...

... but reading through it again, it seems I might have mixed up some details.

In that case, can you please help me list the requirements?
It seems they need an NYSC certificate or something like that.

Thanks, @aibee01 too.
Different banks, different requirements. Some banks even ask for a letter from the prospective school stating how much should be paid. I'd advise you go to your bank of intent and make specific inquiries.

Generally, you should need: Admission letter, copy of passport data page, the letter sent from db confirming your account opening, O level cert/statement (for undergraduate), degree cert/statement and NYSC cert (for post graduate).

Nathan2222:
Sorry for these really noob questions but google isn't helping and the 480 pages of part 1 is quite a lot.

So please,

1. what exactly is this "Form A"?
"Form A" is a form used by banks to enable costumers transfer money abroad for educational purposes. Using this form, a bank can buy forex on the customers behalf at the interbank market - which is a lot cheaper than the black market.

2. is the usefulness of this "Form A" exclusive to Fidelity and Union bank headquarters?
No. People on this thread have also been successful with GTB and Access. I'm yet to perform the transaction but my branch manager (Sterling) says it's doable (Will likely end up using Fidelity as that is my active account).

3. why do you bother buying euro from the black market when you can get it in the bank at rates similar to those given on google, e.g. 223.58 per euro @ GTB on Thursday (or close) last week or so?
Did you actually buy the Euro from GTB? Or someone told you he/she did? Or you simply believe you can? Please get to your bank on Monday and confirm the veracity of your claim.

4. why "Form A" and not a domiciliary account (ignore the new CBN time-dependent policy)?
Because it's cheaper (see no. 3 above).

I keep seeing something about an added "200K" for the fund transfer via dom. accounts but I don't know where that amount is supposed to be from especially given this.
Calculate the naira equivalent of €8040 using the black market rate and the interbank rate. The difference is about 200k. So except you have any other means of getting Euros to fund your dorm account other than the black market (by all means share), or the 200k wouldn't mean much to you, form A should be your ultimate choice.

Thanks to anyone that answers.
Bitte schön

Hello justwise, pls i need info for someone apply to a german school for Bsc, is there an alternative to IELTS? he has 100l transcript. Is IELTS a must. thanks
IELTS is not a must. TOEFL is an alternative, likewise living/learning in an English speaking country (Nigeria).
However, this is school-dependent and some schools do not accept certain proof(s).

It's advisable to write IELTS and get a good grade as this will increase your prospects (I'm yet to come across a school that doesn't accept IELTS).

It is not a sub as I reference you and Obiwann's posts in it, directly.

People body too dey hot for here. Am I the only one who doesn't take life (NL) seriously? I've been on NL for 7 years and never had an e-quarrel for a day! People should learn to ignore petty things - more like sifting the grain from the sand. Instead of firing back; it puts you on a higher pedestal. As far as I can tell, that language quote was simply expressing how difficult it is to get fluent in a language from scratch.

Based on your post, I would suggest you start applying for jobs over there that can commence after your research program. It will do your CV a whole lot of good than truncating it for this job offer. You can even apply to jobs over here, and who knows; you might end up with a better offer.

it is not my job to educate you, because just like salvation, the road to enlightenment is a personal race.

I cannot even waste the little knowledge I have gathered on Nigerian Christians because I have found that 97% of them are close-minded people. Even if I brought hard evidencee to dispute what you have accepted as 'facts' you will still argue blindly. You are all programmed like that.

Read Dan Brown's history, discover why a man with access to the Vatican library, a man with a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith than any of you half-baked Catholics in Nigeria, would become an atheist.

Try and read with an open mind, so you can sieve true facts from exaggerations,.because you have all been told to ignore that man and have done so religiously because of your fear of the unknown.

Enlighten yourself, don't wait for someone to enlighten you, your religion cannot grant you eternal life. Surely, you know that Christians are not the only beings in Heaven.

If this were written by a man, I wouldn't even bother quoting. But seriously? Are you subliminally justifying rape? In your own words, what justification does one have to r.ape/molest a woman? That she wore skimpy clothes, or even stark nude is no justification.
It really is a man's world, and the ideology of the misogynistic lot have sipped into your mind...

Truth be told. D world is becoming d Church & D Church is becoming D world. Wat justification does one ve 4 wearing a transparent dress or a bum short 2d market? Its as good as coming out naked.

BTW: if a place as unrighteous & public as D university condems improper dressing, wat justification does a church ve 4 accepting it?

Why.

Ohh you feel they don't have sexual explicit feeling. They do. The problem was the long age marginalization and discrimination against women, then they tends to succumb instead of responsing actively to sexual impulses like men. They always surprise men whenever the act begins, informing men that they are more sexually active than them but always have to suppress it because of millenia of men's subjugation.

We have always being taught that women's body will cause men to commit sin.

We were told that if women showed too much of their body it would cause men to do stupid things.

Lets be clear: A woman's body is not dangerous to you, her body will not cause you harm, it will not make you do stupid things.

If you do stupid things it is because you choose to do stupid things.

Do not blame the women for wearing what works for them and what they want rather blame the men who do stupid things because they cannot hold themselves from being stupid
johnydon22:
It is not the woman's fault that you cannot hold yourself from acting on your raging sexual urge, it is your fault in entirety if you fail to know when restraint is necessary and how to employ proper self control.

Blaming the women for the weakness, silliness and the inability of man to have a self control principle is very wrong.

She has the right to wear what wants and feels comfortable in, what ever reaction you allow yourself in response to that is totally you doing and not the woman's
I would personally give you a million likes if I could. I'm yet to come across a lady blaming a guy for wearing his singlet & boxers. A lot of (Nigerian) men are just chauvinist pigs.

Dude! Honestly you need to lower your expectations... Will you have time to study? assignment? etc etchuh Well, if you can cope, no problem.

Lastly, you can get a job for 10-12euros and still make about 800euros in a month.
My disclaimer should have sorted this out. You can even break into the 4-figure monthly range. But make no mistake; once you break into the tax threshold, you will be taxed (brutally).
